Worst company ever. They just laid off half of their workforce on 4/26/23 and have absolutely no chance of surviving this. 100% cronyism on the part of leadership, they only look out for and promote one another. They don't give a single care about the workers who bust their minds to get their silly ideas done. Speaking of such ideas, they will come to you with them at 4 PM on a Friday and expect you to work extra hours to get it done, because the project is so "high priority" and had to be completed "yesterday". 

A typical day at Care involves you waking up, maybe cleaning yourself of the filth of yesterday's  workday, slamming coffee down your gullet as fast as possible to ready yourself for the torrent of absolute craziness that's coming your way. Once it's finally time to open that laptop screen for the day, your body is hit with a sudden wave of anxiety thinking about all the ways leadership could approach you with some "high priority" idea that, once complete, they will literally never use once in their lives. Imposter syndrome starts to creep in, you start to wonder if you're even capable of producing good work anymore after you've been in this upside-down environment for so long. Oh yeah, and all this is happening while you're being severely underpaid, with bad stock options, middle-of-the-road health insurance, and no avenues for negotiating a higher raise at all! Quite a roller coaster of emotions if you ask me.

You would probably end up enjoying the people you directly work with, but as you get higher and higher up in the chain, the absolute cult-like mentalities start to show themselves. 

The most enjoyable part of this job was clocking out each day at 5 PM sharp despite whatever craziness leadership was trying to feed about how important it is that this work gets done immediately. You didn't even pay me enough during the 9-5. Get real and learn how to run a business.

What is the best part of working at the company?
For a , remote patient recruiting position, pay was decent and it was good for the experience.  There were some quality people working there as leads, coordinators,  recruiters, and on-site staff from different departments, even.  For some, it was their first job in clinical research.  Wonder if they are still there.  The upper management seemed like they didn't have that much experience with clinical research and made hasty decisions which didn't make sense, which probably contributed to the mass layoff.  It was kind of sink or swim.  Lucky for me, I had a terrific lead.  Other leads were very cliquey and there was much favoritism.   It was a good place to gain experience, but had to be prepared to be thrown to the wolves. It can be pretty fast-paced and things can change in a split second.  Assignments  were in your dashboard and you had to submit your daily activities at the end of every day.  One of the best parts was being able to see your and your team's metrics live throughout the day.  If you're applying for a job with this company, go for it.  If anything, it will make you stronger. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
If you have exhausted all of your resources and research high and low for an answer to a specific question which would determine a potential candidate's eligibility, you'd have to wait days or weeks for the right person to answer the question - lack of needed departments or personnel.
And being thrown to the wolves.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Cliquish but it's what you make of it.

Some of the most rewarding work I have done. I never felt pressure to compromise patient care for efficiency. I felt like I truly made a difference in the lives of the patients and families I served. I worked with a team of diverse, talented team who were there for the right reasons. I developed so many skills and was able to learn about disease processes I would never have seen elsewhere. This position taught me valuable communication skills that will serve me for the rest of my career. 
Hospice Care has a high burnout rate for obvious reasons. The demand on your emotional well being can be high. All caregivers, but particularly end of life caregivers, need their personal time to refuel their emotional tank. Sadly, as everyone felt the strain of staffing issues during the COVID Pandemic, I found myself struggling to protect my personal time. When I expressed this to management, I did not feel heard. It was as though those of us who stayed on the front line were punished for the loss of those who chose not to stay. Had management acknowledged this and made some attempt to improve work/life balance, I would have held on. It was very frustrating to be recruited and offered all of the things I asked of  them within a very short time of leaving. 

I was very excited to start working for Care.  Once I got into the role, I was surprised at the lack of training there was.  It was basically a sink or swim environment.  In the two years I was there, this never changed.  Because of this, there were many violations in regards to regulatory issues, licensing issues and employees not having any idea what their role was and their incompetence in completing their tasks. Then they started to lay off a large number of employees, most over the age of 50, and are now still hiring for positions.  Why were the people that were let go, not given the option to fill these other roles?  Because they were older and cost them more in wages?  Also, the work life balance was not a thing.  The company I once thought was a great place to work, turned out to be nothing more then a company that used its best resources to get where it needed to be and then let the ones that made it was it was go because they were costing them too much!  Not a place you want to be involved with!!

I have to immediately say that the best part of the job was the travel.  They are fantastic in terms of taking care of their employees with travel. And they lend you a work laptop which is nice.  It’s nothing fancy, but it’s nice.  There was also a LOT of training.   
The problem came down to the management.  There were too many chiefs and not enough Indians.  You could routinely see management butting heads with each other.  There was also very little continuity in the schedules for some roles.  You have an assignment and be in the field for 2-3 weeks, then hear absolutely nothing for a month and a half, and then get an email saying you have 24-48 hours to be in another state 8-12 hours away.  That was a huge problem.  The management would also snap on you and take things out on you.  And I know they were incredibly stressed out, but taking it out on employees is never the answer.  Especially when we just have a question or need help with something.  I watched a lot of really great people leave the company, and I eventually followed suit.  
The company has some really really great potential, but it would need a significant overhaul to achieve that.  

Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians in this company. Everybody wants to be a boss and everybody wants (and gets) a title of some kind. This company got too big too quick. Management didn’t have a clue about what was going on. They micromanaged everything and made very minimal visits for hands-on knowledge for what was going on at the sites. It was very apparent that the people in charge of the different teams making up the sites didn’t have the training to do their jobs correctly. The company would not have been aware of this problem because nobody ever came to the sites to insure things were being done properly. Mistakes were made and were reported to management, but nothing was done about it, and the problems continued. Management always seemed to be a day late putting plans together, which put the teams always playing catch-up with their duties instead of being able to stay a step ahead and being prepared to help move forward. And then, at the end of one day, there was a meeting, at which time almost everyone was let go. So sad to see yet another company caring more about themselves than their employees — the people that tried to make that company something to be proud of. 

I was hired in late March and laid off in late April, despite specifically asking during my interview if there was sufficient work to remain employed. I will say, I don't think my direct manager who was a director knew, but I think the management level above her did. Layoffs don't just occur. After learning what happened in the month prior to me being hired, I think the CEO knew, and that's when people should have been notified to start looking for something. Instead, half the workforce was laid off in a teams meeting. This was done midday and you were told to log out and await further instructions via your personal email because you would no longer have access to the company's network. Prior to the Layoffs I worked with a solid team of supportive coworkers. My qualm is not with them, it's with the way the company blindsided so many people and left many with no options. Prior notice should have been given to allow for planning. People have families to support, mortgages and tuition to pay. A blow like this can be devastating to a family or individual.

The pay is ok but not worth the workload/stress. Management sits in meeting after meeting wasting company salaries doing bare minimum work while the limited staff gets over worked and blamed for problems stemming from their subpar managing. Communication doesn’t exist here, but you will be blamed for not knowing. There is zero accountability here.
So much is expected for the very limited staff with strict deadlines to complete clinical events. 
When you’re hired you will receive false promises about the growth you can achieve. 
Expect to do work outside of your hiring role. 
People quit and their duties become your duties regardless of your role/position.
You will be micromanaged to the max especially since there’s more managers than actual workers. 
You will move sideways before you receive any promotion. Being a good worker here only gets you more work, not more money. 
Other than that, the field of work is great. The limited staff try to make the best of it, probably only because we’re all going insane. I wouldn’t recommend this job to any one with a good work ethic as it get you no where.


When I joined Care Access, I had high hopes for the company. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of direction from upper management. It seems they have not conducted proper research and the training provided was insufficient and ineffective. This has led to a toxic work environment, with high pressure on employees to improve the company's image after the Pfizer incident.

While my immediate manager was kind, they seemed overwhelmed and often forgot our conversations, leading to misunderstandings and incorrect information being given. The overall work environment is not conducive to productivity and growth.

I have noticed a high turnover of employees, which is concerning and does not bode well for the future of the company. Despite efforts to clean up their image, it appears that the issues within the organization run deep and are not easily resolved.

Unfortunately, I don't believe this company will last in its current state unless significant changes are made in upper management and the overall work culture.

When I first interviewed here the entire hiring process was a bit unorganized. I did not hear back when I was told that I would, I had to send a few follow ups and this being a remote/travel position I expected more oversight. That was not the case unfortunately. Overall met a lot of nice people, but the training was not suitable for the amount of managers in place. It was always difficult to have your concerns address due to the fact that so many people were in-charge of the same thing. Also wish the training was more rigorous due to the workload that was put on us because other employees had no idea what they were doing leaving two or three of us to complete all the work. What was worse is when you asked for clarification from those  in-charge we would receive like four different answers. The company can  definitely use better management and organization, because it played a negative domino effect on all other aspects of the company and its employers.
