As a former employee of Care Lync, I can honestly say that when I first started here, I was really happy with my job. The company was great and their morals and standards were in line with mine. They put the consumers first and made sure they were taken care of while still looking after their employees. However, some time in the past year this culture changed. It became more about how much money they were making and the consumers fell to the back burner. They had us take daily, 4-hour drives to Harrisburg, Reading, Poconos and other areas before the new year began so that they would be able to bill the insurances for the time spent doing the assessments with the consumer. Then they still had the audacity to tell their employees to work an additional 8 hours to the already 4 hours of driving (24 units daily, right?) They let some of their best, most efficient people go and hired fresh out of college students because they wouldn't have to pay them as much as they paid the more experienced employees. They let go of their loyal employees and never gave notice to the consumers to let them know that they would be getting a new service coordinator. Instead, they were okay with the consumer calling the coordinator to no avail and feeling like they were forgotten about. The company started off awesome and really a great place to be. But somewhere along the line, it became about the money over the consumer and over their employees. Over the course of the 2019, they let go over half of the staff and didn't even bat an eye. All of the meetings where the CEO & President said "this is the last of the layoffs" and "we're focusing on bigger things with you all" was just a bunch of smoke and mirrors, or fluff to be more accurate. If you want to work somewhere stable, caring and structured, this isn't the right company for you. They are definitely trying to do bigger things but they are doing that at the expense of their clients and their employees.

My tenure at Care Lync became challenging, especially after a noticeable shift in leadership when the CEO became less involved. This change coincided with a downturn in both operational quality and the overall workplace environment. Reflecting on the leadership, it appears that these challenges might have been tied to the direction set by the CEO. The hiring and promotion strategies implemented from last summer through the winter unfortunately did not improve our company's reputation as expected. Regarding Human Resources, the department was understaffed, with only a talent acquisition staff member attempting to fill this critical role. This individual seemed to struggle with the demands of the position, suggesting a need for more comprehensive training or educational advancement. Furthermore, the management style of my supervisor was less than ideal, with a tendency towards micromanagement and a lack of professionalism that contributed to a toxic atmosphere. It was perplexing how such management practices were overlooked, particularly when these individuals had been promoted from positions where their performance as Support Coordinators was already questionable. There was an expectation for excellent communication skills among staff, but unfortunately, this standard was not consistently upheld by management, leading to a mismatch between expectations and practice. This was a source of frustration and led me to question the future success of Care Lync under this leadership. My recent departure marks the end of these experiences, leaving me hopeful for a more positive environment in future endeavors.

During the interview with the CEO this was presented as an up and coming company who truly cares about the clients and employees but that couldn't be further from the truth. They overwhelm case managers with caseloads that do not allow them to dedicate enough time to meet their clients' needs. They also do not care about work life balance and allow minimal time off. They are extremely metrics-heavy and because it is remote, if you step 2 feet from your computer for 5 minutes, your supervisor or HR will call you to find out where you went (hope you don't ever have to use the bathroom ). They truly don't care if the clients are a bad fit, unreasonable, or disrespectful to the case manager as long as they can be billed. Training is a joke, the supervisor will send links to a bunch of online webinar videos and booklets and say good luck. Then they start piling clients on you way faster than you can handle. Turnover is out of control so you may randomly be handed a bunch of clients with things due immediately for people you have never met because another person suddenly quit. This is on top of your own already impossible workload. Every other social services agency in my area allowed their employees off a bit early on the eve of holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving but the CEO of CareLync cares more about raking in money for billable hours so expect to work all day, even around holidays. In short you do not want to work here. Save yourself the stress. 

The leadership team, including the CEO and COO, exhibits a lack of professionalism and appears to be overly involved in daily operations beyond their scope. Their credentials and expertise do not seem aligned with the services provided to clients, and there is a noticeable absence of compassion towards both clients and staff. The organization experiences a high turnover rate, which may be indicative of underlying workplace challenges.

Employees often face unrealistic expectations, and role changes can occur unexpectedly, sometimes resulting in transfers to unrelated departments during periods of restructuring. The workplace culture can feel somewhat hostile, and there appears to be a lack of proper oversight regarding HIPAA compliance, as monitoring is primarily conducted by the executive leadership rather than dedicated IT personnel. This micromanagement extends to the use of company-provided laptops.

While there are opportunities for social interactions and informal gatherings, these are often accompanied by negative commentary about colleagues. The management team seems to prioritize favoritism, with promotions often based on interpersonal skills and the ability to align with leadership preferences. Compensation practices lack consistency, as raises are not awarded annually and require direct negotiation with the CEO. Bonuses are contingent upon the company achieving specific revenue targets

The training provided was not effective or sufficient to prepare staff for the actual demands of the role. In practice, expectations are unclear and inconsistent, and employees are left to figure out critical aspects of the job with little meaningful support.

The billing structure is especially problematic.  Productivity is tied directly to billable units, even unavoidable issues like traffic, last-minute client cancellations, or gaps in scheduling directly reduce your ability to meet expectations. This creates constant pressure to stay billable in a way that feels unrealistic and inflexible.

On top of that, policies and requirements change frequently without clear communication, which contributes to ongoing confusion and disorganization. There is little stability in day-to-day expectations, and it often rules shift after the fact.

The overall culture feels heavily top-down, with upper management appearing more focused on numbers and revenue than on employee wellbeing or sustainable workloads. The company culture is toxic. Staff support and morale seem like an afterthought.

Benefits are also limited, with only three weeks of PTO annually and no dedicated sick time, which adds additional stress when trying to manage health or personal emergencies. 

Overall, the environment feels disorganized, high-pressure, and unsupportive, with a company culture that prioritizes output over the people doing the work.

This company is not a stable or supportive place to work, especially for those outside of the south Jersey area. Despite being around for a few years, it's still operating like a disorganized startup with constant changes, no structure, and little to no real support for employees. Leadership appears selective with who they engage with and often disregards concerns from those they don't personally favor. They are micro managers and want to control every second of your time thru technology that is unstable.

Technology systems are unreliable and frequently malfunction, making it difficult to perform daily tasks. There is little transparency, and serious questions remain about how the company operates, particularly regarding billing practices and insurance processes.

Unfortunately, employees are often set up to fail due to unclear expectations and shifting protocols. Even when you follow instructions, processes change without warning, creating an environment of confusion and job insecurity.

Overall, this company lacks direction, accountability, and effective leadership. If you're looking for stability, career growth, or ethical practices, I would strongly recommend considering other opportunities.

I am struggling writing this review because I was so excited to work for this company, I felt confident interviewing and felt my skills and expertise were clear and appreciated but once I started work thats where everything fell apart. There was very little leeway with the expectation to meet quota numbers even though we were all still learning our roles, the expectations, the technology and the balance of tasks. Financial quotas and restrictions on the time we could spend on the tasks for clients limited my ability to be an effective case manager who supported my clients needs. I found myself having to field calls with clients about why financially for our company I couldn't spend more time on a task that was urgent for them. With limited knowledge of additional supports in our community areas management not only pressured us to perform with the least amount of support, the management personnel also left us out to dry when it came to coordinating service supports that we could offer our clients. Overall working for CareLync left a horrible taste in my mouth.

On paper and during the first week of training you may be fooled into thinking that Care Lync is a great company where you can really help people. It's not! They want you to fluff your billing to make their recommended quota, without having a full caseload and without adequate time to adjust to training. If you express your concerns they will fire you. 
This company is looking to expand into vulnerable cities/states with the highest amount of vulnerable individuals who are undeserved. They are looking to get rich. They absolutely do not care about the people they serve, if they did they'd take more time and care to train and retain good employees. They would care more about the time with clients and not pushing for billable hours. 
I had a client pass away and took the time to speak to and listen to family members and was told I didn't get enough billable hours. Just my second week. And was fired! Stay away from this place. 

Initially going into this role, it seemed promising with support and being compensated fairly for salary but I quickly learned that wasn’t the case. They are extremely strict during training, telling staff to stay on even if we were dismissed at 4:30, telling us oh just keep your computer on incase HR calls you at 5 pm. Also, everything you learned in training didn’t really help and wasnt what  I expected when you actually get into the role. I am not new to coordinating services for individuals with disabilities but  this company has a lot of growing pains. They need  to work on having scripts and be more organized to make supports coordinator feel comfortable in their role. Everyone seems stressed and overwhelmed. The expectations are ridiculous and management does not know how to properly talk to staff members or train them. It’s no wonder people quit asap. Also getting paid was the most frustrating because it didn’t follow the pay schedule you were provided. A total mess. 

As a service coordinator at Care Lync, you have to manage the waiver services of adults with disabilities. Whether it be assisting someone with receiving a cane, or a wheelchair it all depends on what the consumers need. Honestly, there are two down sides to this position: UNITS & Travel. Because this is human services most of the time you spend in the office will be going towards completing units (billable tasks). This however was difficult and stressful as the consumers often were satisfied with what they already had. This position also requires travel as Care Lync services consumers in the NJ, PA, and DE area. This job does offer some great benefits as the pay is substantially good. Health, and dental are also given as benefits too. It was a great pleasure to service those adults as I have met some pretty wonderful people along the way. Overall, this is your typical desk job. If you love office life, and want a nice sized pay then this is your place.
