I was working for Caremaster PRN while working as a travel nurse in various hospitals in GA and AL.  I got fed up with the way nurses were being treated in hospitals with 14 hour shifts, bullying, angry co-workers, and constant stress, so I quit hospitals and called my coordinator at Caremaster to ask them for more work with the idea that I would only work PRN from that point on or just retire and be done with it.  After three months of working PRN, they offered me a full time position last year and I took it.  I love Caremaster because the management cares about their clients as well as their employees.  There are people in the office who have worked at Caremaster for many years, so that's a good indication of employee satisfaction.  
In a typical day I schedule my clients for a certain geographical area and drive out to see them one, by one.  I assess the client and talk to them about their needs and make sure they are happy with their Aide.  If there is an issue, I address it.  For instance, if the client needs a new bed I would call the Case Manager.  If the client has a medication issue or vital signs out of normal range, I call the doctor.  If there is an issue with an Aide, I call the company and we coordinate on a course of action most beneficial to the client.
I fill out a minimal amount of paperwork and then I am on my way to the next client.  I also conduct training once a month and go out to client's homes to do their admissions as needed.  I'm off on weekends and my schedule is flexible.  I can usually take time off when I need it.  But the best part is that I am empowered to see that my clients are being properly cared for, and to make corrections when they are not.  This is a huge priority for me because its the reason I became a nurse.
Unlike every hospital I worked for in GA and AL, the management at Caremaster actually cares about my input, and this motivates me to work harder and do more for the team.  I'm thankful to be with a company that engenders a culture of respect and kindness, and I'm proud to be a member of this wonderful team!

I've been working at caremaster since 2017, I'm actually really grateful to them. They helped me keep my CNA license because I was struggling to find a job in my field being as young as I am. Life pro tip, dont get a liscence before you are 18, no one will hire you. Anyways, the company is great, very flexible with your hours, if you get any. I started in April of 2017, and didn't get my first patient until December. I had to drive an hour and 10 minutes to get to my patient's house to work 5 hours a day twice a week making 9something dollars an hour. Then I was called on my way there and told not to bother showing up. I'd only worked there two weeks.  My current post is a bit better, only a couple miles from me, but I only work 3 hours on two days. It's rough but I love my patient, they are so sweet. It's a good job to take on if you are a busy person, they are completely willing to be flexible, but unless you work multiple patients or get lucky and get a full time patient, you won't get much money working here. It's good for some pocket change and to get out of the house, but don't rely on this job as a primary money maker. I honestly do love this job, and it's good, hard work. they are fixing the faxed duty sheets that someone mentioned and are implementing a new app, it is actually pretty cool, I can't wait for it to go online! Everyone is really helpful in the main office, and the other nurses I've met are all really nice.

I enjoyed by job, my patient, and my co-workers. My work was very rewarding. Not at all a baby sitting job. This job used all of your nursing skills and taught you more skills the longer you worked there. Management was up and down, but before I left, they had a very good Supervisor, who really knew what she was doing and was not afraid to lead. the hardest part of the job was dealing with the Caregiver (patient's wife). She was constantly firing people for no reason at all. Company was tired of what she was doing but they were fearful she would get rid of them. I was let go, without warning.
I was later told she was the one who fired me. Also I made the highest pay i was told and I believe that is the real reason I was let go, ($32p/h). The caregiver set this pay up when we transferred into that company from Maxim healthcare agency. I was making ($27.00/hr).. A typical day at the job was counting narcs, filling out many ventilator and I&o sheets, vital sheets, Weight shifts, if patient was up in the wheelchair; wound care and respiratory care often. Inventory weekly and reporting about patient's day to the next nurse. Also, DR.'s appointments when scheduled. Very full interesting day.

I was an employee with Care-Master Medical Services since October, 2016 to November 17th 2017, I started with the company working as a Personal Care Assistant with clients in the field, in June of 2017 I received a call offering me a full-time staffing position in the Care-Master office. When I was originally hired as a Staffing Coordinator for the Private Duty Department, the staffing hours for the department had dramatically increased which led the company to hire me as a full-time staffer, within the 90 day period I took on the position that there was a dramatic decrease in the departments hours due to client death, hospitalization, referrals to different agencies, etc. I got moved back to to just holding a PRN PCA position with Care-Master Medical services rather than both because due to the hour decrease keeping me in the office wouldn’t have benefited the company, and I left due to mot making enough because there weren’t full time hours to be given.

This is a good company to work for but they are not very hands on.  When I worked for them I never talked to anyone in the company  unless I had a problem.  I never met hardly anyone from the company.  I only met the recruiter and talked to some people working in the office because I was having issues getting my paperwork turned in because my phone was limited.  We had to electronically turn our paperwork in.  It was convenient but they always had a problem reading mine for some reason every week.  I always had to resend mine 3 or 4 times every week.  I started thinking at the end that I was being picked on.  But overall I really enjoyed working for them and would work for them again.

Every day my schedule is set to go because it can easily get off of it's course. Keeping my client up and happy go lucky with her routine makes my day go by quicker as well because she like to exercise. Managent is great because they basically do their best to put you with a client that you are much compatible too.The hardest part is when I'm asked to fill in for someone else caring for an individual I have the slightest idea about.I enjoy most caring for people at their homes because its their they really spread their wings and relax.

I felt like I was in high school instead of the HR department of a corporate business! The women there are VERY petty, childish, & rude just like their supervisor! The supervisor is is extremely unprofessional and allows them to carry on however they please. Some of the women their make racists comments and constantly bring up the fact that there are racists members in their family. Overall it was an uncomfortable work environment me for me. The other lady’s in the building are nice but plz stay away from the Mean Girls, I mean, HR department!

I have been working with them for over 6 months and only worked a total of 10 hours. They keep promising me more hours but they will call me the day of to fill in a shift. They are very unorganized and only call you when someone doesn't show up to another location at last minute. The two clients I met were nice and I was under the impression I would be working with them but they then gave them to someone else after I kept calling asking about those clients. Pays almost minimum wage McDonald's pays more then them.

this company is only about the money they make and put their employees in illegal and hostile work environment. office staff is not supportive. if there was a call out you were stuck working even if it violated labor laws and threatened with abandonment of care. BAD COMPANY
