People see what you did. The silence, the timing, the lack of decency—it spoke louder than any staff memo ever could. If this is your strategy for retention and morale, you might want to rethink. You’re not fooling anyone.

A typical day involves committed staff doing their best while navigating poor communication and sudden top-down decisions from LCS. The hardest part of the job lately has been pretending that leadership still values people over PR.

The most enjoyable part? Working with coworkers who genuinely care about the residents. Sadly, they’re the only reason many of us stay.

Fast turn over rate for receptionists because the job is stressful and we’re not fairly compensated. I am not the only receptionist that believes this. Ever since the pandemic, we have taken on the roles of COVID health screeners and security on top of being receptionists (especially during the weekends). Because we are so understaffed, new receptionists are training new receptionists— so it is the blind-leading-the-blind type situation. 
The only reprieve is that there are 24/7 security guards in sight if visitors get too aggressive. I also heard that there is a possibility for job growth as a few previous receptionists are now in different Casa departments working in supervising positions.
Advice to the company: please consider paying your employees fairly and training new employees thoroughly. We know that customer satisfaction is vital, but staff satisfaction is the foundation that keeps Casa running. 

For the most part, this job was very enjoyable.... on the surface.  The residents really appreaciate the work that you do for them.  It was nice to be in a position to interact with them on a daily basis.  The Executive management, on the other hand was quite challenging.  Depending on which arch the mood swing was on determined what kind of day or week you were going to have.  Upon giving my end of employment notice, I was given the silent treatment.  I had never been treated this unprofessional before. 
If you are line staff - you will enjoy your work here because you will have very little interaction with those people.  You will interact with the residents, and they are just GREAT people.

Servers are treated poorly and unfairly by supervisors/directors including supervisors from other departments. As an employee, your voice is not heard whatsoever, you are subject to being exploited to other employees, and your work is not valued no matter how many years you are with the company. When you bring your concerns to HR, they refer you to try and solve problems on your own to avoid "conflict" because they want to stay on "good terms" with their fellow directors, leaving you to feel quite desperate. Would not recommend to anyone, especially not as a first job. HIGH turnover rate that does not raise concern to HR or CEO.
All statements are true, if this is a "bad" review, company should reflect on feedback and make changes.

During the hiring/interview process you make it down to the finals and it is an in house employee vs. a friend of an employee with no experience and the friend gets hired. Happens a lot.  When a Manager leaves and no one has been hired for that position and there are 2 or 3 people trying to cover it, employees have pto or sick leave already approved from previous mgr and covering mgr considers you a no call no show because they were unaware and write you up.  New mgr hired and same happened.  The worst incident was we were 4 nurses down in AL and Memory Unit so I had to take some of our IL nurses and work them in to the other departments.

I worked there a couple years ago, I shocked as a first time CNA how the other CNA’s “worked”. My welcome was more or of “threat”.  I was told “ if you help them (other CNA’s) they will help you” so if you are running behind or get caught up with something, no one will help you out and the call lights can be going out like Christmas lights. Trays will be in the lunch cart none will help pass them out. Unless they “like you” otherwise you can be assisting a resident and the trays will be sitting there. There’s no team unless you are  of their race. It sad how some employees are being treated maybe if they had better management and pay that would be a better place to work.

Poor management, residents are great and kind. Human resources is great, no real meals just sandwiches and salads, everything closed early so no food for employees working after 6 pm, no insensitive, no training, new management was horrible to employees and other staff, parking is really bad on street at least 6 cars broken into for the 3 years of working, they did not do anything about that, the so called scollership program is extremely hard to get into. They charge residents so much, yet they get so little they take advantage of their elderly state I would not put my parents there. 

Hourly pay was decreased without notice as payback for speaking up for myself. HR personnel became dogs with their tails between their legs when it comes dealing with confrontation. Management only cares about themselves and making a profit. You have to look out for yourself at all times. Coworkers were amazing but management sucked the life out of it. Don’t even think about being able to speak up for yourself!! Everything changed when new management took over!!

Upper management is a major problem as are some of the Directors. Human Resources is ineffective in dealing with the problems.
Most enjoyable part of the job is being with the residents.  Wonderful human beings and full of great history!!
Least favorite has to be interacting with FB Director and Assistant Director who are both horrible at their jobs.  Top Mgmnt doesn't want to hear anything you have to say. Just do your job and don't make eye contact. Too many people leaving because of this.

I have worked here for a little over a year. During that time, Management has shown us outstanding employee appreciation. We receive monthly bonuses and are able to have free lunches daily from our dining services. I have enjoyed the company events as well. From raffles to free meals and holiday events, I feel appreciated and seen by my supervisor and love that Casa hires and promotes internally. The residents are wonderful as well and I always feel at home here!
