JBR has a fantastic system for coaching you through how to be a Research Coordinator. I would recommend this place if you're looking to become a coordinator or gain more experience in the field. They are great at hiring within the company and offering new positions/advancements for employees. They also contribute monthly to your Health Savings Account and offer great benefits. 
The employees were fun to work with and so were most of the Providers. 

Recently I left due to the company going through some large employee shifts and work slowed down tremendously. Some members of the management were not easy to work with and ended up getting fired. JBR does a fairly great job at recognizing term oil and makes necessary changes when needed, which I highly respect. 
Over the last month of my time spent working there, my hours were drastically reduced as there were not many studies to put the Coordinators on so that was a downfall.
They recently moved their practice to a newer building as the old one was honestly terribly constructed for the amount of employees. We were forced to make large closets our computer rooms with no windows are good air circulation. People were sick fairly frequently. Again, they recently moved to a much more suitable building that has adequate space for their work load and is newer, cleaner and properly constructed for their work.
Although their website states they deal with nearly 30 different types of studies, during the year I was there it was strictly pain management with some minor exceptions. It would have been nice if they brought on other types of studies, perhaps Oncology, Endocrinology, or Respiratory to gain some more knowledge in the field.

A typical work started with whining crying, yuppie people complaining about a $1.50 cup of coffee. and every morning about how rough their jobs are.
Second is the lack of personal communication in the culture, everything I mean everything's email over 400 a day and everyone one has to be answered every 15 seconds and if not phone calls start ringing. When you try to talk to someone about it the first words out of their mouth "just email it to mail because I don't have time" 
The Management structure is set up up that the two at the top are King and Queen and if you upset them or their little underlings they make your day purposely miserable.
The staff screams and yells at each other in front of patients, guests and other staff members.
They expect filet mignon and sea bass at every meal but only want to pay Mcdonalds prices.Some employees that work are truly gifted and try to make a difference but get so burned out at having to cover others short-comings.
Save yourself the headache and heartbreak, Chose someone else to call home.. Turnover of staff is well into the 65%.

The staff here is very clearly invested in their work. The culture here is one in which you are empowered to seek personal and professional development. There is room to grow at Cenexel JBR and there is an emphasis on retaining talent and promoting within whenever possible. 

We are a high volume research facility and have great processes in place to keep our staff and participants safe at all times. There is a mindset of always making the work environment better. Management cares and wants to ensure that staff are taken care of and that they are not being burned out. 

The work we do is viewed as important and is taken seriously, but we still find ways to have fun and interact with each other. It is fast paced and that is not always for everyone, but every effort is made to help employees find success. 

I have honestly never enjoyed a workplace as much as I enjoy this one. The people are wonderful, and the drama stays low. I would recommend it whole heartedly for someone who wants a position where they can feel like they are making a difference. 

Horrible work culture. People are literally yelling and screaming at each other every day. There is no respect shown at ACMR at all. Even the managers will be fighting in front of their workers. The PTO system is set up in a way that it only benefits the company itself. No PTO's accrued during the first three months of employment and you can only use PTOs that you have accrued. So, in order to take a week vacation, you have to work for about a year because you only get one PTO accrued every month. If you are taking more than 3.5 hrs off for a dr's appointment or anything, they take entire 8 hr PTO off even if you came back to work after being out for 4hrs. 

The turn-over rate is crazy because of the poor management here at ACMR. Employees are not valued as they should be. The COO loves to just watch the security videos to catch people for being on their phone for 1min. 

Following the FDA regulations is not taken seriously at all here. Also the management will scream at you for things that you did not do. They love to play the blame-game for every little thing.

I had a phone interview scheduled for 11:30 AM and never received the call. I received an email about 10 minutes later stating that my resume was reviewed prior to the meeting and they decided they don’t want an MD who might consider medical residency as a potential career in a few years (which I explained minimum two years until I apply). That’s fine if I’m not the candidate they are looking for, but at least I was honest about my application and wish this company was more professional. I was asked to do my research about the company, which I did. I was fully prepared for a phone interview and set time out of my schedule just to receive an email stating that they cancelled the interview. They should have been prepared and should have reviewed my resume and made this decision BEFORE scheduling an interview and before requiring a ridiculously long assessment. Very unprofessional and a waste of time. No wonder this company has such low reviews. This experience just shows how unprofessional the company is.

You can work and do multiple things at once, do a yoir assignments while everyone sits on their a** and nothing. You can work there for a year and know everything about all the studies, a female who doesn't do anything or know anything  who got trained on things you didn't and still doesn't know, grts promoted before you after you were promised a promotion. You can have it in writing too and theyll just nope. You're done. This place is the lost toxic and political liberal powerhouse ive ever seen. All female supervisors, all but 1 females Study coordinators. Upper management had maybe 6 guys to 25 plus women. Most the coordinators are so dang lazy they will have you walk across the building just to go get a paper from the printer or go get them a drink. Also half the people sleep at night jn the beds or leave to go to their BF or GF house. Lol. Want to mentally break your mind and here nothing but liberal and female .... stuff. Work here.

I had so many wonderful colleagues here, from maintenance to pharmacy, IT, accounting and up thru senior leadership. I also enjoyed and appreciated building relationships with study participants from Local community.   I am so grateful for the opportunity I had at this organization and all that I learned about clinical research as a result of my time there. Pay was competitive for clinical and managerial staff. Company engages in regular team building meetings, games and other culture building events. Great holiday parties! Culture could be bolstered by investing more trust in employees and providing them more flexibility. Culture would be enhanced by leadership communicating and demonstrating a commitment to promote diversity, inclusion and cultural/racial/generational sensitivity. 

The work itself is interesting, meaningful, and enjoyable. The research feels impactful, and the day-to-day environment can be fun. Some coworkers are supportive and knowledgeable, but the  workload is frankly unmanageable and stressful.

Management often lacks transparency and has a habit of pulling the rug out from under employees, especially when it comes to expectations and decision-making. Workplace gossip can be an issue and affects team dynamics, but this truly only comes from one single person. Benefits are very limited, and compensation is not a livable wage despite the level of responsibility and expertise required. 

This can be a good place to gain experience and work on meaningful research, but it’s difficult to stay long-term without fair pay, better benefits, and more consistent, employee-centered management.

The CRCs and Assistants are some of the best there is. Unfortunately, the management leaves a lot to be desired. It is very disorganized here. Leadership does not speak to one another, so information does not get to the CRCs in a timely fashion. Also, there are many moments where CRCs are left holding the bag when things go wrong. The PI is nice, but he is not involved. Source documents go missing all the time; they get sent to the PI for signatures and we're lucky if we get them back. CRCs are not rained properly in communication nor procedures. Example: No training is given on how to put together the folders, so everyone just does it any kind of way. Then, we get fussed at for having the folders look any kind of way. However, no one is training us on how to put the folders together properly!

It gave me firsthand insight into how a lack of organization, support, and clear role expectations can affect the work environment.

The most stressful part was trying to work effectively in an environment that felt understaffed, poorly organized, and unclear in its expectations.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was fast-paced, which in itself was not a problem. The difficulty was that the pace was often combined with disorganization, unclear direction, and inconsistent communication, which made the environment more stressful than it needed to be.
