A typical work day is from 7 to 4 for me and I enjoy my work and my co-workers very much!  Management is very understanding and have an opendoor policy about anything you need to discuss, recognition is very important to everyone and it is done daily!  I have been on this business for over 25 years and I love this company!  I wish I had found it years ago!  The hardest part of the job is the paperwork at times, it can be overwhelming, but at the end of the day, if you have helped one person it has been worth it. the most enjoysable part of my job is the smiles I see from my members and the smiles from my co-workers!  It means the world to me and it shows the company that we are a team and a family!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with hostile supervisors and employees who bring their personal judgement into their professional role. Professionalism is gone out of the window!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Hostile, tensions, everyone fighting to move up to No Where!!!!!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not much interaction at the company, rather be with the members as expected.

Some flexibility which is nice. Pay is not competitive. Management friendly but rarely helpful. Fully capable of being remote but they refuse to allow it. Very little advancement opportunities and no regard for experience, promotions are about who you know not what you know. Caseload maximum steadily increases without pay increases, focus is on billing over quality of care. You have pto in theory but good luck actually using it, your workload is the same each month even if you've taken time off, so you end up having to work extra time surrounding your vacation to make up for it. High risk of burnout here.

The culture at CNYHHN, Inc. is great overall! A wellness committee exists to help with staff morale. My direct supervisor is easy to go to with work problems and advocates for the needs of her team. 

The hardest part of the job, as is the case with many care management positions, is that the focus is around billing, and sometimes it is easy to get caught up in number of visits/time left in the month.

The most enjoyable part has been being able to help children receive services they may not otherwise have.

The main reason for leaving was due to personal relocation.

I started as a care manager but was promoted since then. I would say this is the least stressful job I've had in the 10 years I've worked in the field. The office just moved to a new location so everything is brand new. Everyone is on a team and they are really helpful to each other. Wage is definitely good. Benefits and PTO are great. The job is very flexible when it comes to also taking care of my family.

I have been working here for many years. The people are all great to work with, there is so much flexibility, managers are understanding when you need to work remote, we gain so much PTO, and so many other great benefits. The management is very helpful. I have never worked for a more understanding and flexible company. I would highly recommend applying for a position here, as I truly enjoy working here! 

The flexibility this job offers is good, and it is easy to get time off. However, the caseloads are high and you feel overworked so it may be difficult to actually take PTO when you have so many clients with acute needs. Additionally, it is extremely hard to move up in your career here at this agency unless you are already friends with upper management. 

Caseload was not realistic and not everyone has the same. Lack of supervision. Friends of management were given special treatment in many ways. Too much training, spreadsheets, more work for no pay. Burn out is high and management is fake. 

I was not a good fit. Traveling to varies towns. 30-45 clients a month to each Care Manager to do monthly visits for each one depending on their acuity level. Best to all! :) :) :) 

Lack of experience with Senior Care Manager . Hired friends who preform poorly. Difficult to work as a team as new hires are Seniors friends
