Work is managing client files and taking well qualified warm leads and helping them find a product or service that fits their needs. 
Andrew and management work to turn one of the most stressful occupations into a totally stress free experience, everything else is taken care of for you so you can simply focus on your client’s needs. Making sales is easy with this team and the high quality work environment. Pay is fair per sale and quota’s are a breeze to reach. 
They also offer many alternate services, making your earnings truly reflect the effort you put in. 
Talking with people on the phone for 7 hours a day and managing your files for one is the job, if you don’t like talking to people on the phone, this isn’t a good fit. 
If you love connecting with people and serving the needs of clients you’ll love the work.
Highly recommend. 

A typical day at work is very sales focused, with strong group support. As the typical role at the company is involved with Medicare, employees (and applicants as well) need to be aware the product they are selling is regulated by the Federal Government, and compliance with these regulations is imperative.

Management is firm but friendly, and willing to go out of their way to ensure things are running smoothly by answering questions and having an open-door policy.



I worked here briefly after finding out I was getting shafted by a temp agency at a different phone-sales insurance company. They head-hunted me. And they fired me and half the other people the day after the first open-enrollment deadline.
You know that scummy insurance salesman who lies through their teeth to get you to say yes? That's them. Hopefully this has improved in the last 4 years.

Century Benefits is a local company to Portland OR that has very knowledgeable staff that cares about helping their clients.
Its a fun place to work with a lot of bonus programs and friendly coworkers.
Great entry level job for anyone looking to get into sales. They will train you better than most sales managers and give you skills easily transferable to any job.

Owners are great. Very approachable and right there in the office with you every day. Supervisors are very knowledgeable and approachable. Small office enables you to have a close-knit feel. Good work/life balance when not in busy season. Opportunity for good commission on top of base salary.

I was very un happy when I decided to take the job at "Century Benefits."  They made everything sound so great, but little did I know that the company overall was not consistant with what they made the job out to be.  Also, there is no room to advance in this company.  Positions are temp or they will choose to fire you with no reason at all.

They have reps "selling" people things they don't even know they are buying knowingly and then play dumb when customers get angry and complain for legitimate reasons. If a college frat party environment is your thing, you'll fit right in with the others. Lots of questionable people working there and I will leave it at that. Play by their rules or get fired for whatever reason they decide. (I wasn't fired but saw 10-15 people during my time there.) 

Unprofessional to say the least

We are expected to be on the phones almost all shift. They “encourage” breaks but prefer you grind it out and take none and praise people who don’t take any. No realistic expectations for everyone, just a handful of people surprisingly do good. But this company is not compliant to Medicare rules 

Insurance is a tricky critter... but Century Benefits has many witty, upbeat people who keep the pace moving and support the rapid growth and change of the industry.  I felt good about how much we were able to accomplish during Open Enrollment.

Great place to work Just not enough money in Insurance especially now that the mandate is over to to have to have insurance. Should open open enrollment to every state. Great cash spiffs though cool managers as well. 

Should have more p&c as well way more money in it and do small business Insurance.
