This companies work culture is nothing short of toxic.  They treat their employees as if they don't have separate lives outside of the work place.  They expect you to drop your entire day off and are expected to perform duties that are completely out side of your job title.  You are severely under paid while expected to perform the impossible.  If you don't like good benefits from a company this is the right place for you.  The companies benefits offered is comparable to a fast food restaurant.  However, the fast food restaurant is the better option.  They have high turnover rate for a reason.  If you are on probation during the holiday season don't expect any time off to spend with family.  The toxic culture is one problem however the environment of the building is another problem. The entire building smells like urine and have a cleanliness problem.  I understand that is a difficult task managing cleanliness of residents, however, the personal from corporate or owners don't provide any money from their personal checks to keep the building in check.  They need new carpet, new bathrooms and a breathable space that can be tolerable.  However they're busy making sure individual lunch's are automatically deducted from employees timecard.  They will do whatever they can to save a buck. Please take my advice and never work for this company. 

If you enjoy stress, doing the work of more than one person, and receiving NO appreciation - this is the place for you! Your pay does not reflect the amount of work you do. They say pretty things during the interview process, and follow through with none. Management provides NO help. You are in charge of all the "normal" duties, plus anything and everything management wants to throw on your plate. If you voice your opinion on the amount of work or asking for help, you get told that "this is your job. I've dealt with more." They will call and text you on your days off, expecting you to drop everything and come in to "fix" things. They allow short staffing, or provide staff that doesn't work (very counterproductive). You will spend a lot of your shift searching for supplies. Every single door in the facility has a different code, and they do not notify staff when they change it (that could easily be done via text). For the staff that works their butts off, there is no recognition. It's a very discouraging environment with little chance of advancement. 

Madison Health will prioritize upper management especially Administrators/DON over hard working staff.  Upper management are only looking out for themselves and will put blame on staff when they (Management) make a mistake.  If they decide they don't like you or you speak up, they will find a way to get you out. HR will not help while being bullied and only there to protect the company, not employees. Nursing staff are not supported and over worked. Owners will not allow for more staff due to money vs resident care. Don't expect a raise once you start.  Champion Care owners and regional Leadership are aware of toxic work environment and horrible building management but will not make need changes because they cannot find anyone that wants to work there.

This facility has a very fast paced working environment. CNA's assist in meal distribution, as well as providing activities of daily living. Breaks are short, 30 minutes for lunches, but they do have 8 hour shifts and every other weekend working rotations. Set working days throughout the week and the ability to pick up hours. This facility also has a mandation policy for call ins. Benefits are only offered to those working a minimum of 32 hours per week.

It is a HORRIBLE place to work. It is very VERY understaffed. They do not support their CNAs. They don't have enough equipment. Unsafe area and full of drama. The company may be good but the Burlington building is horrible. The building's division of residence is unfair and makes no sense. They will have one CNA care for 5 1assist residents then have another CNA care for 8 full assist hoyer residents. Management is also horrible, they will see you working hard and ask you to do even more while other people are doing nothing. 

Working at Champion Care has been amazing.  From my first day on the job, I felt as though I was part of the team for many years.  My colleagues were very warm and welcoming always asking if I needed assistance or help.  The owners of the company truly care about their employees and the care for the residents in the facilities.  All in all, I rate Champion Care 5 out 5 stars!

I was very happy as the most recent director of social services at Beliot Health and Rehab. My only complaint was some of the insurance companies that they worked with for the residents. There were a couple instances where discharges were rough because certain insurance companies didn’t follow through with what they had said they would do. Other than that, it’s a fantastic facility to work for! Amazing co workers! 

Even if very understaffed, corporate will be yelling for you to do admissions with no one to care for them. They do not care about employees, bad benefits, and managers call from New York to yell or tell you what to do.They treat the residents as only numbers in the bed and like to be understaffed. More residents plus under staffing equal more profit.

Company will overwork and underpay staff, while expecting them to handle high fluctuation in patients. Administrator says one thing and does another. No respect for work/life balance. 

The only good part was the teamwork amounts to employees and their dedication to their work. 

Champion Care has a great focus on learning,  growth, and showing appreciation for their staff members. Examples: Clinical Managers have had opportunities to become NODONA Certified and Wound Care Certified, staff appreciation has been shown through gifts, food, and acts of kindness.
