I would work 50-60 hours a week. Enjoyed going to work everyday.

I learned a lot on how to run a store, the HR point of views, inventory management, employee interaction skills, customer satisfaction, P&L's, Business needs point of view.

My manager was the best I have ever had. She was understanding and would treat people like people and do whatever she could to make your day enjoyable, the same as I did with my employees.

Working close with the same people for over 7 years, you grow to know who they are and show concern for their lives. Best group of people to work with so far.

Hardest part of the job was to balance a healthy work and home life

I loved everything about this job, except that there was no advancement opportunities. Being a Market Coach, I held the 3rd highest rank in the company.

Supervisor of my department...

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Too much drama and back stabbing for adults in my particular department . Supposed to be a business atmosphere and found it to be the worst atmosphere I had ever worked in .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Dreading going in and being there from the time I was there until I left. Constant micromanagement from supervisor,  certain other Co workers always more busy brown nosing the boss then doing their own work.

My typical day starts with greeting my team when I arrive.  I then do a walk through the restaurant to ensure we are at standards before we get into our rushes.  Through out the day I work side by side my team, coaching and training.  I make weekly schedules, interview, hire.  handle financials, review daily, weekly, and monthly numbers and communicate them to the team.  Their really is no hard part to this job as long as your goal oriented and strive to be the best.  Their will always be challenges that pop up but it all depends on how you handle them.  The most enjoyable part of this job is the people above me and the ones I get to train and work side by side on a daily basis.  the growth opportunity is amazing, their is no limit with the right attitude.

Manage a varying team of individuals, financials of the site, inventory management, face to face customer service, coaching and development, ensuring store is clean and presentable at all times, ensuring all aspects of the store are properly functioning and schedule repairs if necessary, repair if possible and more. (any/all expectations of the company)
Co-workers need some motivation; however not so much will or skill issues, mainly environmental (Staffing)
The hardest part of the job is not having the required staffing amount of the franchise corporation expectations.
The most enjoyable part of the job is training new employees, coaching and development, helping people in general customers and co-workers.

 If you are looking for a part time job where you enjoy going to work and feel like you matter, then this is not the job for you.   The management staff make each day so unbearable that most employees don’t make it 2 months. The owner of the restaurant is rather oblivious to this or just doesn’t care.   A new hire has no support, training, or clear list of what is expected of them.   THe management expect employees  to learn everything on their own and get angry if you have to ask them questions because as the assistant  manager says, “I’m the manager,  I don’t have time for that.”  Hostile work environment with horrible pay.  Unless you like the high stress with no clear direction, save your time and don’t work for these people.  

This isn't the world's worst job by any means. I just had higher expectations, based on when I first began with the company. A typical day at work is the typical fast food rush that seems to never end, making it almost impossible to get many other things done (a lot of it depends on the organization of the shift). The management wasn't quite unprofessional and could all use a little training in people skills. The hardest part of the job was probably dealing with high turnover and its reflection on the shifts. The most enjoyable part of the job was probably the co-workers who made it fun.

A typical work day for me consisted of first making a bank run to do my deposit. Once back at the store I would turn on my fryers and begin to prep the food items I needed to start my day. I worked with a younger crowd so for the most part my days were fun and fast paced. I was the assistant manager to it was my job to lead and train others for the most part. Interacting with others and satisfying customers made for a good day. The down fall was trying to make sure everyone got their breaks when they were supposed to including myself. Many times I would exclude myself from getting a break to make sure my other employees got one.

On a typical day, you come in, walk your store, deploy your team, check all product levels, and make sure you are set up for your shift to run smoothly, I have learned business plans, and different management techniques. The most enjoyable part of the job is to serve customers and make a competition with the team. Everyone is like family and the higher ups in the company are always there to support you, and are around way more often than any other establishment I have worked for.

I worked for charter foods for several years. I was walked out of the building and told to walk home at 7 am for responding the wrong way to a question during a meeting. Then I was terminated at the start of my next shift. No coaching. No explanation. This is the same company that came into our store and made a joke about a coworker overdosing and dying, the same company that wrote an assistant manager up for falsifying time reports but terminated me on the spot for something I didn't even know was wrong. 


This used to be a ok place to work but the new management has destroyed any good things about this job.  They want you to work 24/7 for low pay with little to no help. The micromanageing is off the charts. The management can't answer simple questions or even point you in the right direction. Very stressful and hostile work environment with no fix in sight. It just kept getting worse.  Stay away from this place if you like your health.
