Unfortunately, in today's world anywhere, the almighty dollar rules.  The bottom line here is productivity and how many billable calls you can make in a day. This leaves no room for actually connecting with patients, building rapport and helping the patients to improve their outcome...because you are on a timed call. The particular practice that I worked for had providers that often verbalized that the CCM calls were "pointless" and wasted their time when they had to address issues.  That's unfortunate, because at its core CCM "could" be an effective program. One would think that the practice would be appreciative that their patients were connected and able to express their needs rather than being seen as a "nuisance".  CCM really is a good program, it just needs the support of ALL members of the healthcare team to meet its full potential.  Supervisors here are about 50/50 in the crop.  Some genuinely appreciate you and help you progress to the next level.  The others, not so much. Recognition here is always based on how much money one makes for the company and not on other merits, like rapport with patients.

The work life balance and this company really cares about employees. They often tell us how much we are appreciated. CCS will support you in time off when needed and encourages you to take care of yourself and your family.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part I would have to say depends on your personal strengths and weaknesses, time management, and ability to adapt quickly in a everchanging fast pace environment. I will say compared to my previous high stress Primary Care physicians office, it is very minimum. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is fast paced, time management is a must. It is a environment and culture that fosters success, growth, and improvement all the while treating you with dignity and respect. The company truly treats its employees with appreciation. I love working for this company!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My typical day consists of being at my desk with my computer charting and  making calls. Coordination of care, research, and monitoring are just a few tasks that I complete in my workday.

The orientation was a little dry but any job orientation is when you are doing so much paperwork. I had a preceptor who helped me get comfortable with the position, explained everything, and would always ask if I had questions. There were always resources for education available to me when I needed it. Management was not hidden, they interacted with all employees frequently and I always treated them with respect. I really enjoyed talking with patients and building those relationships, which is was everyone's feelings on my team. The pay was not exciting but they did offer bonuses for high performers, reward those working hard and doing their job. They really made sure that we made family and our lives outside of work a priority, I have NEVER worked anywhere else that has made such an effort to make sure I had that balance.  The job is not for everyone but those who can handle working remotely and have the skills needed to do the job, absolutely love it.

Chronic care staffing has the potential to be a great workplace. I loved the work life balance I love talking with patients I loved everything about the job except the pay which is very low for the  volume of work that they expect to be done . There are incentives such as bonuses quarterly  if you meet the standards of the amount of billable calls each month or each day. Do not expect a whole lot of training you will get 2 to 4 days at the most and then you’re on your own. The training can vary from person to person also.  If you are a very compassionate nurse who likes to get to know their patients and treat the patients with dignity and respect in a friendly atmosphere then this may not be the exact job for you. The goal of this company is always the bottom line all about numbers all about making money limiting your call times and professionally distancing yourself from your patients. Just read the template, educate on a few chronic illnesses, end the call, bill the call, document the call.  While I was employed there there was a huge turnover rate.

I feel blessed to be a part of CCM. I have been  an employee for the past 2 1/2 years and feel a sense of purpose with my career.  In a time when there are so many people struggling and unemployed, this position allows me to continue my health care career and still take care of my patients from the comfort and safety of my own home office. I strive to always make my patients feel that they are my top priority and that I genuinely care about their well being. "Patient First" is stressed here, and this is one of the reasons I am so happy to be a part of this great company and work with a fantastic team of caring professionals. We all strive to support one another, and the ultimate goal is to provide the best care possible for our patients. 

This place was terrible. They treated me very unfairly. Trained new employees never paid for it. They sit on the phone while the clock runs out. But want to rush everyone on the phone. They do not care about their pts it's all about the numbers to them. They really shouldn't do CCM. I feel bad for their patients. They could get so much more out of the program if they were with another company. They hire you and say that the work is flexible but it is not they don't even tell you you can take a break even though it's by law.If you are away from your computer or going to the bathroom. Make sure you make notes about what you were doing or they will try to fire you and say you are taking "excessive breaks" this company is a JOKE! Thanks for the experience that's all! 

A typical day at work was unpredictable and often involved tasks outside of what I was originally hired for. The training was very poor and left me unprepared, yet expectations were high. While some coworkers were supportive and kind, management was unprofessional, dismissive, and showed little regard for employees. They initially promised one salary in the interview but changed the offer later, paying less than what was discussed. Despite being told I was doing a good job, I was abruptly terminated just before completing 90 days, without warning or proper explanation—simply told to clock out and leave. It felt like the company uses people to reach short-term goals and then lets them go.

I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience at Chronic Care Staffing. From day one, I've felt like a valued member of the team. The leadership is supportive and genuinely cares about employee growth and well-being. The collaborative work environment fosters creativity and innovation, making every day exciting.

The flexibility allows for a perfect work-life balance. I appreciate the emphasis on professional development, with numerous opportunities for training and advancement. The company culture is inclusive and diverse, making it a wonderful place to work. 

Overall, I couldn't ask for a better employer. Im proud to be a part of Chronic Care Staffing, and look forward to contributing to our continued success!

What is the best part of working at the company?
EVERYTHING. My management is supportive, I work from home as a nurse and so, I am never short-staffed. I have never been happier.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I don't have any stress with this job, it's a welcome change.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We are remote and we zoom a lot, have meetings via zoom and even after-hours mixers to get to know each other. We have a constant thread going where we can reach out, to either chat, blow off steam or need guidance. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I work an 8 hour day Monday through Friday.

This company has a great culture where management truly wants you to succeed. You are more than equipped with the training and tools needed to be successful. The daily quota is very achievable. This role is best for self motivated employees. Hard work is recognized and employees are valued. There is a strong focus on patient centered care and quality. Overall, it is a great place to work.
