This company will work you to the bone, with no regard for nights, weekends, holidays, etc for months on end only to have massive rounds of layoffs for the most important employees in the company. Uppet management is so shady, promising that there will be no layoffs left and right, only to give 3% bonuses and 2% raises to top performers, and then laying off entire teams and migrating responsibilities to single employees. Do not work here if you have any shred of self respect. Employees are constantly discussing how much they hate the company, how backwards it is run, and how the only thing keeping them there is the horrible job market. Reorgs every quarter to the point that some employees don't even know who their manager is. I was put under a manager overseas who wanted meetings 2 hours before my start time and wanted changes implemented off-hours at 10pm. It's the worst company I've ever worked for, hands down. NPD was incredible, and everyone thought they would stay for decades and make a career there. Not with Circana. They lay off 20+ year employees like they're scraping gum off of their shoe. I don't know how some of these executives sleep at night. Stop treating employees as an expense, and start realizing that they're an investment. 

Being a FSR is easy, but painfully redundant. Thankfully, I was never assigned any stores more than 15 minutes from home. For the most part, you can work on your own schedule. There's only a few requirements and deadlines: They prefer you have your tasks completed BEFORE Friday morning, although you actually have until  Friday 8:00 p.m. Pacific time.  Just know, you will be hounded on Fridays if your tasks are incomplete! You MUST be comfortable working alone and confident with using your own common sense. Your remote manager is most likely swamped with their own workload and is too overwhelmed to answer silly questions or listen to your personal grievances. My manager had almost 200 FSRs, across 7 states, so personal feedback was nonexistent. 

Circana has experienced a lot of growing pains due to poor, unqualified and inexperienced leadership IMO. The decisions are never effectively explained, and the rounds of layoffs is demoralizing. Lots of obvious favoritism, often for low achievers, which contributes to a culture of distrust. Salary adjustments are meager and promotions are given to the wrong people; not the people who actually do the work. There is little vision or strategy. The healthcare benefits were decent, but in 2026 the benefit level dropped significantly. I guess the good news is the premium did not go up significantly. The HQ in DT Chicago is stocked with snacks, drinks, etc. but I'd rather get a salary increase than Swedish fish and granola bars in the break rooms. Seems like a huge waste of money considering no one is in the office on a regular basis unless leadership is in town. The best aspect of Circana is the flexibility of your schedule and ability to work remotely.

The ability to work remotely and independently on many projects.

Lack of prioritization and support from leadership. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
This ranges from extremely great employees to work with to some really tough personalities.  Be prepared to be overworked and blamed. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Each day is different. New projects/new fires to put out each day- struggle each day to finish projects and meet committed timelines because resources are continuously shifted around.

Most of the employees are nice to work with, but there is a lot of friend policy. If you do the same as somebody else, it doesn't mean you will get the same apreciation from the management!

Even though you have a lot of flexibility for example working from home and starting between 8 and 10, you dont get a worthy salary. They expect you to work over to meet certain dead lines but talking about a raise is not necessary because you wont get it. If you meet certain goals during the year, you will be valuated and reviewed, and  possible rewarded with a very low monthly raise.

I never felt apreciated, in fact I always felt replaceable!

Very well communicated company with great people.

Random extra weekly tasks that they don't really specify during training.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You work alone in grocery stores, scanning items. It's a great gig, especially for those that don't really love interacting with customers.

15 minutes to 1 hour drive, followed by 2-5 hours in stores.

Flexible work schedule with part-time hours.

Managers and trainers are bossy and aggressive.  They have unrealistic expectations of employees.  It is a toxic work environment.

Bossy and feels like working with condescending used car salesmen.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fairly independent and flexible.

I was a part-time auditor. I worked about 15 hours a week. I had two accounts that I audited endcaps and displays around the store. I had projects during the year that were added onto this. Some of them could be painstaking, like auditing every aisle in the store. I only stopped working there when they added convenience that I never accepted in the first place. I would only recommend working here if you have a lot of extra free time on your hands because they will give you projects that you will be required to work more hours.

The job itself isnt too bad in terms of flexibility with scheduling especially if your looking for more hours, but the pay is definitely not competitive and the new way that the “drive time pay” is calculated through gps tracking wont count unless you spend more than 3.5 hours at a store. Also my own boss left after i left so that told me something. Corporate is surprisingly polite but its just too much pressure and again very much underpaid considering how much money the company makes off of the data they sell.

IRI formerly had a culture notorious for "Boomerangs", prior to the merger. It still has it to this day.
Part of this, was due to the extremely poor raises received annually that are uncompetitive with market valuation. 

Imagine receiving raises between 1.5% - 2.5% for many consecutive years, even while inflation skyrocketed in one those years.

Work-life balance is great, however. *Dependent on your client/team you work on/
