I enjoyed working at CMR. The job was pretty laid back.  They set achievable goals. I found that if you do your work ...you would meet your monthly goals. The work load was hectic and a bit stressful but tolerable. They also have an awesome culture of encouraging their  employees to eat and live healthy lives by offering free workout sessions and free fruit. I also liked the fact that their was not a lot of drama and backbiting going on amongst co-workers. Everyone seemed to get along and if there was ever trouble brewing in the camp it was addressed immediately.I liked that because you don't see a lot of places with over 100 employees not having some sort of messy drama going on.  The only thing I didn't like about CMR is the pay. In the monthly meetings upper management talked a lot about how great the company was doing as a whole but the employees never reaped the benefits of the having exceeded the monthly goals and seeing record breaking months. Upper-management benefited seemed overly excited about it! But once I hit my monthly goal and capped at the highest bonus level I would not be paid for anything more than that. No matter how far I exceeded that goal. You will never get a raise and once you have exceeded your maximum bonus level of $800 per month plus hourly wage of $11.54 that was all you were gonna get and all you'll ever earn. I know my worth and realized there are plenty of companies out there who were willing to pay top dollar for the type of work I do and I believe I am well worth it! This is a great company to work for in terms of it being a great work environment but you'll NEVER make more than $30,000 a year. Most positions pay less than that! If money is not an issue for you then CMR is an awesome company to work for!!!!

When I say Switzerland I say that because its really neutral. The training is pretty non existent if you're lucky you find someone who actually knows and helps you out.
The management doesn't really help in this department either. No one really knows who's job is what and they play the blame game like it is going out of style. They're not great at giving straight answers and will 'push you' towards whatever they think is a good position for you at the time, regardless of if it actually is or not.
Pay. For a company that requires a license its appalling to me that the base pay is so low. Some depts have commission but some commissions are outdated and unattainable. Which sucks when you top out on the hourly pay and there is no yearly raise for certain positions.
Everything else is just okay. The company does try to make some attempts to do 'fun things'and they attempt to add culture by being a part of the community, but this defiantly overshadowed by their lack of monetary compensation for what they expect from employees. 
That being said it is a decent stepping stone to get in the the field of work. But it isn't much more than that, a stepping stone.

Not a very good place to work. I left the company not long ago, and I have a feeling of relieve. I would describe the place as a melting pot kind of environment, toxic, discriminating, unprofessional environment. One of the coworker next to me talks all day, will not stop talking about anything she wants, acts like the boss and she is not, does not respect others, rude, backwards, the other one chews and smacks gum aloud all day, horrible!!!, not respect. Supervisor cares less, I was told to put my headphones so I don't hear the noise. She does not want to deal with the problems going on in our department, does not want to resolve issues, so the good descent people can stay. After a few months of working there, I felt that I was not growing in my job, I was limited, and not given the opportunity to learn more skills. I was ready to learn more, but I was not given the opportunity to advance, so this was definitively not the place for me. If you want to be respected and work in a professional environment, do not apply for a job here, unless you are in between jobs, get something better than this company. One more thing, the parking is the worse, watch for the homeless in the area.

Management ignores new hires especially when they need assistance in the beginning. Don't want you talking to coworkers and do not everr ask questions. Management will warn you about asking questions to them. "They are too busy" to bother with it and tells you to put them on a list to go over at another time that never happens. AMR and CMR are always having fund raiser's to aid their favorite charities and are constantly shaking the can in your face to give. If I participated in a this I wouldn't have a paycheck. The climate in their building is so cold in the winter time I am constantly wearing a coat. So many claims about being happy at this workplace is absurd. The look on the faces of employees you would think you are watching a series of the walking dead. Manager's when they say they are too busy to answer your questions are in fact busy sending random email's to employees to make sure we are paying attention to them. One email consisted of a manager asking for donations for breast cancer awareness month and if enough raised he would wear a pink boa and tutu on that day, and he did. How very strange

What made it so great to get up and go to work at CMR was it being such a supportive company and as well a wonderful group of staff members.  We all worked as a team meeting those daily and bi-monthly goals that upper management had set.  And what wonderful rewards we received not only on our payroll, but time off with pay.  Each day was full of deadlines, stress, heavy phone work, balancing, and making sure everything is done timely.   Even on those busy Mondays, we always met our goal, even if it meant working overtime to get there.  I would say all day long was enjoyable for me.   There were wonderful co-corkers to work with and all of them was always their to give help when needed.   Hardest part of my job was having to leave the company due to personal reasons.  I learned a lot about the processing of various types of claims, contracts, and how a client is billed, a carrier, and the insurance company.

It's not high pressure, but if you want to make a good living, you'll need to make plans, stick to them, and handle the claims fairly, honestly, and in a timely and effective manner. You're not really adjusting as much as you coordinating and deciding who is and who is not liable for damages. You can't control some aspects, so you can't be too rigid. Things do change; there will be interruptions as well as unfortunate situations. You must rise above them and make yourself and your contribution meaningful. If you work and work well, you will achieve your goals. 
It is difficult for two months, but after that, you should be able to make a good living. 

A typical day in the life of a CMR rep is at a desk handling 50 to 65 Claims daily. Which details anywhere from first contact, to resolve the claim with a settlement or payment in full. The beginning of my work day I would retrieve any of my voice mails as well as read and emails that I received at which time I would return a call or reply to an email received. At that point, I would work the files that I had lined up for the day. My goal was to resolve 10 files a day. I learned how to multi task as well as how to handle my job by using Six sigma. The hardest part of my job as a CMR rep is not being able to resolve a claim. The most enjoyable part of my job was resolving a claim at 100%. Management was fun. Management worked it out so that the company would have outings based on the company goals being meet.

New management came and turned the place on it's head.  Many people that worked there for years left as a result.  Some people were fired for no reason after they had worked there for over 15 years.  

You could give your blood, sweat, and tears and be there every day and do exactly as you were told and it would not be good enough.  The pay  never changes yet you are always expected to do more. 

At one time it was a great place to work, even prior to me being there from what I was told.  It's sad that one person can come in and make all of that change. And no one wants to listen. 

I loved the job itself though and it helped me gain a lot of new knowledge.  I was so sad to have to leave because I loved the job and was good at it.

A typical day for me since I work 10 hour shifts but half my week is weekend days and the other half is weekdays makes the business and slowness a mixed bag.

I believe I have learned so much it'd be too much to fit in a small review.

Management and workplace culture is amazing. We're like a family in the FNOL department.

Hardest part of the job is when it gets fast paced and there are calls back to back since it can diminish your performance statistics.

Most enjoyable part is everything else. Being in my own environment as it is work from home. Being around such amazing people that are like family. Having understanding supervisors and leads. The pay is sustainable so it is very worth it.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The extras are really too many to list. They have events and paid early off days, bonus pay when company goals are reached, employee of the month and other recognition of work, etc etc. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
In my position I am left on my own a lot which I love but I can see that might be an issue for others that need more instruction. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very inclusive and there is a really great attitude of there being teaching moments and not mistakes. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start up my work computer, log into systems and go.
