I have been working at Clear Start Tax for over a year now, and I can confidently say that it is one of the best places I have ever worked.  From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and kindness by the CEO, managers, and co-workers. 

The leadership teams are truly some of the most  supportive and nicest people you will ever meet. They are approachable, understanding, and always willing to listen. They genuinely care about their employees' well-being and go above and beyond to create a positive work environment. Their open-door policy encourages open communication and fosters a sense of belonging within the team.

The managers and CEO at Clear Start Tax are equally supportive and approachable. They provide clear guidance, set realistic expectations, and are always available to address any concerns or questions. Their leadership style promotes collaboration and teamwork, making it easy to approach them for support or guidance whenever needed.

What sets Clear Start Tax apart from other workplaces is the strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. Everyone, from entry-level employees to team leads, works together towards a common goal: helping clients eliminate their tax debt. The CEO, managers, and co-workers are some of the most supportive and kind-hearted individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I would highly recommend Clear Start Tax to anyone seeking a positive and fulfilling work experience.

I worked as a sales rep for about a month. First off the good. Management is great at what they do.  This company is well structured and seems to have a great support system for all their employees/workers. If you are good at sales and have no morals then you will succeed here 100%.  There are different departments and they are drastically different when it comes to their employees. The building is beautiful and has great views with free coffee.  Now the bad. Being a sales rep, the work they make you do borderlines a scam. You are selling tax relief plans. Pretty much 'Clear Start Tax' helps potential clients relive some of their debt by applying for government programs that are already available to the public but is sold as a package/service only 'Clear Start Tax' can provide. They make you take advantage of peoples horrible situations to try and land a sale. They make you trick people into thinking we can fully receive their tax debt. I understand that in the world of sales, it is what the job is. But here it seems so scummy. The service does help indeed with tax debt that just keeps piling up. But the debt just gets transferred more than relieved. There are so many examples they show you during training that feel so wrong because of the situation that the clients are going through. The managers try and make it seem as if we are actually helping this people and almost try and brainwash us into thinking that we are the saviors of these people who are in serious debt and have had so much taken from them. From what I gathered, this company simply puts a bandaid on a serious open flesh wound. Sales is scummy work, but here it felt like something worse. Again, if you have no morals and are great at talking with people, you will make lots of money here. 

When I started working for clear start tax I really enjoyed it. I thought I would be able to grow and make a good living in this seemingly, very cool and supportive environment. The employees were great and management was good too… at first. I was there for a full 8 days, yes 8 days, before they told me I wasn’t producing enough for the company and they had to let me go. In 8 days I already closed a deal and received payment and had other promising leads. They gave me no chance to prove my abilities nor my commitment to the work. On day one they put you on the phones and expect us to start selling the first day you start. And apparently if you’re not making multiple deals a day within your first week, well sorry there’s no chance that you’re going to be able to rely on this company to give you a fair shot. A waste of time, my efforts and I learned too late that it’s a revolving door. Every week there’s new hires that come in to replace you if you don’t exceed their unrealistic expectations. 

After working in sales for over 5 years, this is a refreshing work environment to be a part of. Clear Start Tax does an excellent job creating a productive atmosphere for employees to stay focused, and also excel in their development in the company. Everyday we come in to a high energy and supportive work area, that is designed for our success. Typically we talk with dozens of people a day, which can get to feel overwhelming at times, but the management is there to support and develop new, and season employees, as well as offer help to get the job done. The most enjoyable part of working for this company is the people they bring on to the team, and the management staff, as they work consistently to help employees do their best and be successful.

The work culture is really good. We have the ability to speak with managers, no repercussions. I can talk to the CEO, to my direct managers, to ANY managers on the floor. I like that I can speak freely to my managers about my issues/thoughts. At the end of the day, as a salesman we have to put in our work. The work culture here, the management will guide you through the entire process. If the managers are busy, the coworkers beside us will come in and help at any time. The work environment is really cool. We have active morning meetings to jumpstart our morning. We have a cool break room in our building that we visit a lot. We have music blasting all the time! Good competitiveness! 

The leadership at this company leaves much to be desired. Upper management is unprofessional, often engaging in gossip and favoritism rather than focusing on fair and effective operations. There is also a concerning lack of transparency, clients are sometimes and often misled to secure business, which damages trust in the long run.  

Compensation is below industry standards, and morale has taken a hit after recent layoffs, particularly in customer service. Cutting essential teams while expecting the same level of service has made it clear that leadership prioritizes short term gains over employee and client satisfaction. Unless significant changes are made, the future here does not look promising.

If you get an offer here, go ahead and just do it. This is maybe one of the best places ever to work for. Their Irvine office is super nice, and their training program is incredible. They will provide you with all the help you need. People here care for your success. Everybody wants to see you win. 

With that being said, the pay might not be much compared to some other places, and the work is not easy. It's hard work that requires consistency and discipline. But I would 100% say the experience and the growth you gain here is far more valuable than the pay itself. Managers are very helpful, and there's a healthy competition going on in the office. You'll be surrounded by positive people all day teaching each other and encouraging each other. You'll develop discipline and consistency here. Amazing 10/10 workplace.

the work culture is great, lots of growth and coworkers readily help each other when asked while not unnecessarily pushing work onto others. communication is very open and questions are encouraged, especially by management. the difficulty of the work itself varies by department but is easy to learn. 

A typical day for me in billing is sending decline messages in the morning, having to call clients, and trying to receive payments. 
-I have learned a lot more about filing taxes, tax debt, and ways to resolve tax debt issues with the IRS. 
-We are all outgoing, management does not use the power of abuse, nobody micromanages, and it is a very good place to work at. 
-The hardest part of the job would be having to deal with rude and disrespectful customers and hear some sad stories that some customers have. 
The enjoyable part of the job is the environment and the attitude of my co workers.  

Overall experience with the company has been fantastic! Consulting with variety of individuals and help them resolve their issues in a professional manner. Provides clear sense of purpose and makes the job feel fulfilling. Management is always helpful and providing insight on ways to improve. And you always have a voice!! Highly recommend this company to anybody that's looking to showcase their skills while helping individuals overcome their tax liabilities.
