This also includes NEVER having to worry about being shorted on your base pay, overtime pay or PTO pay you earned. You will ALWAYS be paid correctly and in full and on time every single time and never have to worry about having to file any claims to collect the money you earned! The base pay is way higher than the market average so you will totally feel well compensated for the super easy work you will be doing. It blows my mind how well they pay here considering most jobs pay HALF as much for TWICE the work!

You won’t be micromanaged at all. That’s not the culture here. The company totally trusts their employees to do their job and won’t monitor you, or record your screen or your keystrokes and mouse clicks 24/7. This company actually TRUSTS their employees :)

There’s maybe like a couple KPI metrics you’re responsible for and nothing crazy like 20+ that gets measured and reported to you on an hourly basis. That would be crazy micromanaging and ClearOne does not believe in that at all!

The employee turnover rate is almost nonexistent! Almost everyone from my new hire class is still with the company! I think maybe like one person left but it was totally their own fault and not at all anything to do with the company. When you get hired here, you can rest assure you will be here for a very, very long time!

The 5 figure monthly commissions you’re shown during your interviews are 100% accurate and 100% achievable by almost all employees because nearly 99% of ClearOne employees are making well into 6 figures. In fact, only perhaps 1% of the company is making significantly less and living borderline in poverty but nearly everyone else is balling out of control over here!

Thankfully, employees don’t have to wait an entire month to get a performance review. ClearOne Advantage understands the importance in being able to fix problems ASAP so the good news is performance write-ups occur every two weeks and the same for dropping tiers on how much you can earn so rather than dragging out what would normally takes several months, ClearOne has discovered a very efficient way to expedite that process for getting rid of those loser 1% performers within just 1 month. It’s so nice when you only get to work with WINNERS all day.

This company is not one of those that uses your lunch and rest breaks against you. That would be cruel. Fortunately, ClearOne Advantage totally understands these are breaks employees are entitled to and have no bearing whatsoever on the rest of your production numbers so you will never get daily reminders of how your breaks are you being “unproductive” or anything crazy like that lol.

And also rest assured, you never have to worry about your PTO hours your manager approved ever being used against your production numbers or causing you to get a write-up. The company completely understands you earned it and had it approved and will prorate your monthly numbers based on that time off you had approved. You never have to worry about coming back to work to a write-up for missing approved PTO. Such a relief!

It amazes me how giving the company is in giving practically the ENTIRE pie to its employees and keeping only the crumbs for itself. They truly appreciate and understand how the employees are doing all the heavy lifting and reward them accordingly by giving so much to us in commissions and keeping so, so little for themselves. I honestly don’t even know how they continue keeping the company’s lights on with such selfless acts of altruism.

It’s almost like ClearOne Advantage is a charity, doing all this hard work for practically free while giving away nearly all of their revenue to their employees and barely keeping enough for themselves to even live off of. The executives of this company who created this business model and comp plan are like modern day saints for doing this and should be recognized and studied governments and academics for the amazing work they do and the even more amazing company they have created. You will NEVER regret working for ClearOne Advantage!

I have worked for ClearOne Advantage as an AE (Account Executive) for almost 2 years now. I have not been more grateful for my opportunity. If you have a will to be successful and you genuinely care about the well being of others. Than you will love this job.

The sky is the limit. As long as your patient for the first 3 months during the initial learning phase. Than you will start to see the money pile up. If you are a fast learner even sooner.

Schedules are flexible. For the most part you pick your own schedule. Witch means if you have a dream your passionate about you can fund that dream and work without the two overlapping.

You can visit family for the holidays. Leave the country and take your job with. 
A company that really is good to their employees if you can handle this line of work. 

As with any business trying to excel and perform at the top level an any industry. Occasionally there is set backs. No job is going to be 100% perfect everyday. However ClearOne Advantage is pretty close in my opinion as a sales professional.

I wanted to add that in the beginning I struggled a lot. The one thing I did not do is give up.
If management sees that you truly want to be number one and you are working trying your best everyday.
They will not give up on you. There is job security as long as your honest with your intentions they will continue to help you grow. A company that really want you to be successful.


Typical day 50 out bound calls to your pipeline. Notate files. schedule call backs.
As a Certified Debt Specialist you will perform a free credit analysis to help determine based off your clients current financial situation what options are best suitable to help them eliminate their debt.
Ultimately you will guide your clients step by step asking them questions to better understand why it is that they were looking for debt relief options TODAY! Then from their going over those debt relief options with the highest level of integrity giving knowledgeable information so that way the client can make an informed decision. I would sum it up by showing empathy genuine concern and having  a casual conversation.

THAN THE REST IS HISTORY MY FRIEND. The only way you will know if you truly like working in this industry is if you come and SEE FOR YOURSELF!

Pros:  Fast growing company.  Sales experience will definitely help you succeed but some have been very successful w/o much sales experience.  For an inside sales position with hardly any background or education required, the base pay and commission structure is very good.  Management is in general very agreeable and easy to work with... people who complain about the management are people who generally don't understand good workplace values, and don't last long.  The top 10 out of 60 production workers are making comfortable salaries, but they've masted the system and for most it's difficult to get there.  Fun contests and great bonus opportunities.



Cons:  Sales department managers under constant pressure from upper management to churn out big results from very little, and you are just a number that they will happily replace if you are not performing to their satisfaction.  The company is changing itself and making decisions that are puzzling to the average worker.  For example hiring 10+ new employees while not spending much on marketing.  So that means more people on the sales floor competing for less available leads... by odds some people won't make it.  Company hires about 10 new hires, trains them for 2 weeks paid, then they go out on the floor with very basic training, and those that can't figure it out fast are fired within 2 months, only the top 2-3 in the class stay.  It doesn't matter if you had a great sales month, every new month you start from zero and you have to constantly hit your numbers (I guess that's every sales job so if you can't take the stress then find something else).

The company would rather hire new people then investing in training its own department.  Yes there have been small attempts to train existing workers but most workers don't seem to know policy and SOPs or even who to ask for help.

The company recently is "coming clean" which means it once was a start up that no-one heard of and hired some shady sales people who lied to clients and now they are becoming a cooperation which has sop's, policies, and integrity standards which is great but several workers still are stuck in the old way and don't even know how to properly transfer a call.  Clients leave good or bad review depending on who they spoke with individually, their experience depends on who they get to talk with.

Even though fairly medium size company (approx 200ppl.)... upper management/executives make no effort to make a personal connection with workers.  Completely absent/faceless which tells you you're just a number and we don't care about you.

Clear One Advantage in my onion is the ideal place to work. No matter what department you are in I believe you will be fairly compensated and have room for advancement. Working at Clear One provides the opportunity to have a great work life balance. My typical day at work at COA consist of finding account to negotiate and calling creditor in order to negotiate the best possible settlement for our client. It's a stress free work environment that allows you to be at you best. I've learned the ins and outs of what it take to be great negotiator. From the correct questions to ask, to knowing  how each creditor works and their process. My description of management at Clear One would be easy to reach. No matter the question or concern there's always someone you can turn to  that will address your needs. The culture at COA is one of a family. In my time here I've seen many of my coworker become very close, possibly even life long friends. COA is consistently growing and innovating. The culture provides work place that allows every employee to feel like the sky is the limit and that they their needs will be met in order to be the best that they can in heir role at COA. The culture breed innovation, transparency and harmony. We all work together to reach a common goal of helping our clients become debt free.  The hardest part of my job is searching for account everyday to work in order to hit my goals. However there is a limitless database of creditors and account to use as a resource at aid your search.  The best part of the job is the ability to balance my work & my life. Having the opportunity to make an income that will give my family a lifestyle they deserve. Most of all being able to help so many people on their path to becoming debt free and financially stable. Working at COA has changed my life in more way than I can count. I would recommend working at COA to anyone that's looking for a career that will allow them to balance their work life schedule while having an opportunity to provide their family with a better lifestyle.

ClearOne Advantage didn't just give me an employment opportunity, they gave me an opportunity to grow and develop.  I've been with the company since January 2013 and started in Sales.  It's true the environment is very competitive but they were very upfront about that so it came as no surprise.  When I was struggling to keep up with the pack I made my concerns known to management and they provided me ample coaching opportunities.  I came to realize that even though the coaching made me a lot better, I was totally not comfortable being a sales guy and I really didn't have that "It" factor that seems almost genetic in some.

I again made these concerns known to management and they closely worked with me and transitioned me into another department that I had a lot more success with.  I've since moved my way up in this department, first to Team Lead and then more recently to Manager, and I absolutely love what I do.  I've received no favoritism, but instead was able to progress based on the merits of my own work and the value I brought to the table.  My time at COA has been an incredible journey of true personal development and I couldn't be more thankful for that.

My peers and team believe in our mission and it feels good to help people and get paid while doing it - I go to bed every night, not only satisfied, but very proud.  We make a huge difference in peoples lives everyday and I'd be lying if I said that wasn't an extremely gratifying feeling.

The outward mission of the company is to save people money and help them get out of debt. The reality? A debt settlement company that helps people get further in debt by offering loans and still charging a 25% fee per account settled. Many clients end up paying more than they would have if they had just paid the full balance owed - and that's without even considering the interest from the loans now being pushed. 

The management structure is laughable, ranging from overbearing to nonexistent. They routinely institute new policies and procedures without any explanation or training. Monthly goals start out reasonable but quickly become ridiculous. Many of the clients are elderly and pressured into the program without fully understanding it, so be prepared for anger and confusion on that side.

The company promotes conflict by creating an environment where everyone is working against each other without collaboration, causing all sorts of issues. 

The software program used by the company is just awful. On a good day, it's simply slow, on a bad day good luck getting any work done. Despite the numerous system issues, constant quality control backups, and a new system where calls are directly routed to negotiators, the company refuses to reflect these problems in monthly goals, which continue to increase.

If you like screwing over old people and a commission structure designed to do the same to you, you'll love ClearOne Advantage.

I have been at Clear One Advantage for 3 years and do not see any reason in the foreseeable future that I would leave. As a negotiator, I have to be the advocate for our clients and obtain the best settlement option possible for them, with the end goal to become debt free. Its a fast paced environment, and no two days are the same. There is a daily and monthly goal as well as phone time expectations (in the negotiations department.) This job can be what you make of it, but if you want to make six figures that agents do achieve, you need to put the effort in- build relationships with the creditors and clients, multi task, go above and beyond. It is a very satisfying feeling knowing that I am helping someone to gain control over their life and finances again. The dress code is casual, we have 1 hour lunch breaks, and a lot of the time the day goes by quickly. The base pay is a little lower than what many business offer but this is a commission driven job, so it's up to you to make up the difference of what you want to earn per year. Management is fair and try to help you succeed as best they can, but if you aren't willing to do the work, that is on you and to be honest, you will not be successful in the role. They run contests to keep it competitive between agents, which can be fun. The hardest part sometimes is listening to our clients hardships and what they are going/have gone through to get into this position, but knowing I can help them is the best feeling.  

In a nutshell, you have to be driven and hungry to hit your numbers but also willing to do what is in the best interest of the client.  If you aren't willing to accept change, meet a set goal, and work hard, this may not be what you are looking for, but if you are, come on aboard!

I have been with the company for some time now.  While the leads have never been consistent, the last year has been spend implementing a dialer.  The dialer will turn on at 7am and run until you clock out.  You will be forced to call your own clients even if you don't need to, because the dialer makes you.  You are expected to be available 80% of the time.  Using the restroom, or even doing actual work, requires you to go unavailable.  Virtually every employee has mentioned this being a huge issue but the company doesn't care.  Either sit and take inbound calls that never stop all day, or find work somewhere else.  Many of the "leads" have little or no debt and are looking for a loan.  You might be able to help them find a loan but that's just a free service you provide as there is no commission for that. Add in the already super sketchy reputation that debt relief/negotiation  has, and you can see that this job is challenging to say the least.  Everyone starts at and stays at the same salary because they want you to sell for comission.  That would be fine if there was any consistency in the lead volume.  Because you spend your entire day in a dialer, by the time you get someone on the phone you're either zoned out, or just mentally drained from dispositioning calls for hours on end. If you are desperate for a job and want to be promised things that never happen, this is for you!  You will get five or six company holidays.  You will either have to use PTO or not get paid if you don't work on black Friday, Christmas eve, the day after Christmas, and almost all Federal holidays.  

There's a lot of great people at this company that want you to succeed and are happy to help you. The support is definitely there. The problem is the structure and the leads. The commission plan and pay initially seem like you can make money there but it's on a weekly basis. If you don't meet your goal for the week, you don't get paid commission for that week. So you give the company free deals and get paid hourly only. You start at zero every week.  It would make much more sense to have monthly goals based on how terrible the leads are. If you are the lucky 1 percent that figures out how to get to the top "tier" and stay there, you can make money. Everyone else, good luck. I hope the salary is enough for you. Feels like you are too busy trying to figure out how to work the system of what time to get the best leads, how to have a good sales conversion to climb tiers rather than just focusing on selling. It's mentally exhausting. Which is unfortunate. Because the work from home flexibility is great, the training was great and the potential is there to be a great place to work.  But if you want to make money, be prepared that you will have to be at the top of the company to make any real commission. Most good sales people won't subject themselves to what you have to go through to get there. Plan to wait at least 7 months to start seeing any commission. And good luck tracking how you get paid. It's completely confusing. Even management can't fully explain it. You just hope that it's correct whenever you do finally get a paycheck.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The absence, loot zero quality leads that come in the auto dialer that never has any leads in it. They continue to hire agents after agent after agent some of their best performance employees sink to the bottom there is zero accountability on managers, the tearing system that they have is absolutely, third class there are so many numerous things that I could list to tell someone why to work somewhere where else but we don’t have all day. There is zero transparency on your commission. You are never showed what you’re paid for or what clients it was that closed. You’re just supposed to take their word for it , they also have widespread unethical behavior by a particular group of agents and they continue to be rewarded for the things that they are doing in the last six months they’ve had multiple high-performing agents leave over the way that things are handled . I personally would have really loved the job had their bid not such widespread rampant cheating and after having at least four meetings with upper management there was still no change. I had asked for multiple reports so I could see my pay. I was never given that and on my final paycheck, I received zero commission and they sent me a check for $7.06. … very Bad Company
