A typical day at work:
Starting at AM 9:00, talking to the one in charge of the program: synthesis of a molecule that could let big drugs to get in the cell.

What you learned:
Being under others, keeping quiet.

Management:
CNRS is a great place to be, people are open-minded. I had to take care of the synthesis.

Your co-workers:
Very proud to have been working with. They appreciated that it was always very clean.

A typical day at work is mostly doing lab research, including experiments and bibliography research. The management is kind of poor. The coworkers are, for most of them, friendly, helpful, collaborative and motivating. The hardest part of the job is to find the right hypothesis, and be able to generate consistent data with addressing all the possible criticisms. Being a PhD candidate does not open any other door for employement. The most enjoyable part is that research is very challenging and never boring.

Ambitious and educated professional with a solid grounding in electronic systems, telecommunications and IT. Through continuous application of my analytical and research skills I have built an excellent level of technical awareness. My ambition is to join a well regarded organization and work amongst high caliber professionals

My experience in the lab was truly fantastic. It provided an inspiring environment where I was able to significantly develop my competences, both technically and professionally. The team was supportive, the projects were engaging, and I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding while gaining hands-on experience.

It was great experience for me as trainee. I had to move quickly to real cases. The team was supportive and welcoming. there are many opportunities to learn and improve your skills even for trainees. 
The salaries are low in my opinion compared to the amount of work (public isntitution)

Great Professors, experienced researchers are surrounding the labs. That's good for European projects, networking, and funding opportunities. The research level is beyond expectations. The salaries though, could be higher 

Place full of excellent talent. All scientists are very supporting and top edge technology used. 
Leader in quantum technologies in europe along with CEA. 

As part of French government, the CNRS offers the same work conditions and workflow as elsewhere in public sector.
Positions will suit to someone in couple/family
but not for challengers seeking for intensive or ambitious KPI

Good scientific culture and good communication.

Competition between different teams.

You have to be autonomous and independent to enjoy working in this company.

Public research institution - great flexibility, many beautiful historical buildings
Poor career prospects, low pay, lab directors generally don't have any management experience
