I worked at this company for over a year. From the time I stepped foot in HR, I could tell it was very disorganized. The Skilled Nursing Facility was always short staffed to where most of the nurses would not help the certified nurse assistants when they needed it the most help, such as answering call lights when everyone was busy. This facility went through three or four different administrators. It could not pass state. Which says a lot. They finally did pass state after two years of being opened. Most of the workers, especially the CNAs, are overworked. There were promises of night differential, direct deposit, and many more objectives that never happened. Overall it is not a place that cares for their workers, which effects the care of patients. Everything is disorganized, a lot of the nurses are new grads which means they are still learning, and there is no proper training for them at this facility. There is obvious favoritism and people who do not do their job well get protected. Even if residents complain. So overall do not work at this facility or company. 

As a Hospitalist I have worked at many critical access rural hospitals, this one is a surprisingly nice facility, well maintained and much needed in the community.  The hospital closed down for a few years, and this new company that seems to value rural communities recently reopened it.  The campus has 2 primary care clinics, an outpatient PT office, a dialysis center, a skilled nursing facility and a 25 bed hospital. They specialize in rehabilitative work and low acuity acute care.  Patients are very thankful to have their local hospital back.  Overall, rural health in general can be challenging, but the facility and people here make it worth it.  

A typical day at work. Would be getting residents ready for dinner, taking shower, getting ready for bed. Then waking them up in the morning  for the next shift. I would work 12hr shifts sometimes 16 if they needed me.
I learned a lot there. I learned a lot about the residents and their own routine and the way they live their lives.
My coworkers was good. They helped and there was good communication, team work, and hard workers.
The hardest part of the job I would have to say was the drive at first I lived 45 min away but I got use to it so I got easy. The job I loved because I love helping people in general.
The most enjoyable part of the job is you always learn something new. theres not a day that is the same.

This is a small hospital with a close helpful friendly culture. Work between departments is collaborative and cooperative. Management is pleasant, approachable, and has your back. I learned a great deal here and was able to take advantage of an employee school compensation package to go back to college for additional degree and certifications. This allowed me to advance in my career. The hardest part of the job is keeping fulltime employees because we are remotely located and people don't want to move to Coalinga. Ironically this is also some of the niceness of this place is the small town appeal. The most enjoyable part of the job has been the terrific people who work there.

At first I was excited to work there and I have learned from those CNAs that actually do their job. Other than that, it’s like being in high school with all the gossip and favoritism. The pay is trash and they rather pay higher wages to registry than to their own staff. Management is unprofessional and there’s always drama. Their Med Surg unit is more of a skilled nursing facility. Once the patient exceeds their 90 days, bye bye they go. They will give your loved ones Haladol to put them to sleep instead of actually caring for them. Your own coworkers steal from you and nothing is done about it. The list goes on and on!

You spend a lot of time talking about actual work and how you should be doing it but in reality the management team has no idea nor experience in how to deal with employees. Everything just goes round and round with no results. They COULD NOT pass State for the love of God. The things required were not difficult or that complex. There are way too many Chiefs and the CEO is the most clueless one of all!! The “RN” that is corporate and runs the skilled nursing program is only about stacking up the patients. No regard for the actual person. It’s all about bringing in the Medicare money. When they are exhausted at the facility they ship them out 

It is a great place to learn  and grow. Its an entry level for new grads or those who want to get into inpatient but do not have experience. 
Not sure how Management is now, but the initial director/manager was great to work with. Pay is entry level, benefits are not the best and it is a bit of a drive from Fresno but def. worth doing if you want to gain experience in a hospital setting. The night shift for pharmacy was a good schedule 7on/7off but from what I they close pharmacy at night and have a pharmacist remote verify from another company. If they ever bring that shift back, that would be a good  shift to have. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Bad job stay away. If you want politics and affairs go there. Only care about the money not the patient’s.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with the unprofessional manager’s who never really managed people.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic and dangerous. Managers gossip about everyone and blame staff. Some of the ASR’s admit just to keep the Administration happy not because of need.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Confusion. Leaders are difficult to work with and retaliate on the nursing staff

I enjoyed my coworkers while I worked for CRMC, the work was easy.  I enjoyed meeting residents and employees from various departments.  My favorite part of the job was cooking food for people and being able to use all fresh ingredients.  The worst part was the steady decline of hours and shifts based on in-patients.

I was per diem which means I was scheduled one day a week but I was on call for the rest of the week.  As for trips and social life, they pretty much ceased for fear of unavailability.

A typical day on the floor consist of AM assessments with the morning med pass, rounding with the charge and Provider to update the POC!  Staying on top of case load and the charting I have learned is essential in being prepared for what’s to come!  The work environment is pleasant with team work upon among members from a diverse group of friendly staff! Management is supportive and adamantly works  with staff members to enable a good work life balance! The most enjoyable part of the job are the  people I have the pleasure of working with!
