What is the best part of working at the company?
We were a family and no just co-workers. Everyone cared about each other and was always willing to help when needed. I worked here for almost 20 years and am so thankful to Colquitt Regional Medical Center for helping to mold me into the person and professional I am today! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I worked primarily in the Emergency Department (ED). This job consists of many times of chaos, as all EDs do. However, even though these times are stressful, the reward of helping others outweighs the stress.   

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
As with working in any high intensity work environment (Emergency Department) there are times of mixed emotions. However, everyone pulls together and assists others to lessen the burden.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Co-workers smiling and greeting you as you enter the hospital. Many asking how you and your family are doing. Most of my time was spent in the Emergency Department (ED) itself only leaving to have lunch in the cafeteria, or to transport a patient upstairs. Occasionally, there would be a meeting you would need to attend within the facility while on duty. Otherwise, your time was spent in the ED caring for patients.

Typical day would be going to the floors and drawing various patients. I have formed special bonds with patients that when they are in the hospital for blood draws or anything, they ask for me personally. Makes me feel good that I know I do my job to the best of my ability and have patients ask for me by name. And my co-workers make it a great p,ace to work as well. Well help each other out when needed. Pull each others weight. I would have to say one of the hardest thing about drawing blood is sticking patients who have no veins. Just for the fact that one certain patient has to get stuck multiple times. That's where my co-workers come into play, we pull together and get the patients blood. Another one would be sticking babies. Just for the fact that no one likes to stick a baby, cause they don't understand why we are doing that to them. That's when you put that aside and get their blood, cause that's the only way to know what's wrong with the baby or patient. Most enjoyable thing, would be the variety of patients I come in contact with. The patients are the most important thing!

Clocked in .Changed names on boards in each room. Looked at patient list. Updated patients who had left and came during shift change recorded on big board in ER station. Rolled patients into ER
also out as requested by nurses.Checked on patients every forty five minutes when at all possible. always busy at front desk too! Most of the staff were very likeable and some not! Hardest part of
job was having to deal with a death and going back with Dr. to tell the family. Most enjoyable part was being with some good friends everyday and going home with the satisfaction of knowing I helped
someone today!

A typical day at the job is setting up the Dialysis machine and welcoming my patients, to start their treatment. I enjoy bringing smiles and laughter to my patients. The atmosphere is family oriented. The hardest part of the job, is when a patient passes away. I have learned different reason that a person kidney fails, however I an there to assist in the removal of the waste product from their body. One of the great things is that the co-workers and I works as a team. The management is always looking for ways to improve work environment.

The younger - much younger nurses are taking the hospital over and NOT in a good way.  They don't have work and or teamwork ethics. They will do whatever to get you out.  Clicks, gossip, no management support (but they are good at pretending).  The hospital only cares about $$$.  Understaffed!  CNAs can get away with anything. They won't show up to work, or show up super late and nothing happens. I was called a complainer because I texted my manager one morning since we didn't have ANY CNAs.  They blame the nurses for everything! The place is all about appearances. Everyone is unhappy, but no one says anything for fear of losing their jobs. They will fire you if you speak out. Beware!

Respect, flexibility, comradery, and team work

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
low PTO allocations, should increase the PTO members earn, especially for licensed professionals.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
upbeat, enthusiastic, busy and friendly

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
projects and tasks are the baseline of work, with frequent interurrptions of daily workflow problems and issues that need to be addressed right away

-obtained and evaluated patient history prior to the exam, produced diagnostic quality images while practicing radiation protection
able to have hands-on learning with all departments
management was the best able to talk about anything
workplace culture was amazing, staff so willing to teach, and want you to be your best
being there made it a place where you wanted to jump out of bed and rush to work
everything was enjoyable, the staff, patients, doctors, all were just great

RUN, RUN, FAR FAR AWAY. Management is a joke. The  orientation was a day of games. No real training that is needed for tech being used. They play favorites. What they will fire you for, they'll give a good ole  boy pat on the back to others. Everyone is out for everyone. Can't  trust  anyone to give you advice on how to improve because they cut your throat behind your back. No matter how hard you try, unless you are in the game, you won't be good enough. Feeling hurt by my experience there .

Colquitt Regional always show their employees that they appreciate them. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some people can be very rude sometimes but I just brush it off and keep working.

Colquitt Regional is a great work environment depending on the department you work in.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Most days are smooths. Monday's and Wednesday are very busy.

I've lived in Moultrie, GA most of my life, and I am more than pleased with the job inhancements, efforts, education that career jobs can help maintain and sustain anyone's future; and the different job choices, which makes many opportunities that's available for the future of our children within our communities and enviornment.
