● Work-life balance
Overall it was a good place to work, but when people got too comfortable being in the same position they began to slack on their work & new staff would have to pick up the pace to keep up with everything. Overall feel like this is a job that you should only stick around with for about a year & don’t get too comfortable. Unless you’re going into the field of working with students it’s good practice.

● Pay & benefits
They REFUSE to pay any sick time unless it’s accompanied by a doctors note & sometimes I’m sick enough where I don’t see the need to go to the doctor especially because they’re not paying for my doctors visits ??? So there’s that

● Job security and advancement
Jobs secure so long as you’re good at what you do but don’t get too comfortable because they’ll move you around to where you’re needed. Trust me the after school bosses will keep who they want around closely

● Management
Crazy. Like I said before people get too comfortable & slack off at work the amount of times I’ve heard excuses was ridiculous especially because the boss had a close relationship with the worker. Besides that they were very lenient on a lot of things. When I called out the work from that coworker they wanted me gone so bad I ended up leaving that toxic work place on my own

● Overall
not a place that I’d see myself working in for a long time. If you want to work with kids = good experience. People get too comfy & no work gets done.

I thought I was going to enjoy my time working in such an extraordinary community based environment but boy was I totally wrong. I reported directly to the a member on the executive team who lacks professionalism and empathy in the workplace. Years of my related skill set were put to shame when I worked in the department that had no organization at all. I’ve never in my life been so confused and slow to adapt due to the fact that THE PERSON IN CHARGE WAS A HOT MESS. I complained to the CEO who did absolutely nothing for the current and future staff while my efforts to bring attention to the wrongdoings were agreed upon by other team members.  Here is an advice- sort out your management team and you will get happy and productive workers. 
CEO lacks a backbone but was smart to bring in a CPO to run the department- while having the same manger working there- (misery loves company I guess) 
The medical/ dental benefits and PTO/Vaca/Sick/Holiday are great! They offer pension as well. 
Again, great place but horrible management.



When I tell you HR makes it hard for EVERY SINGLE DEPARTMENT I promise you will hear and eventually see no different from anyone who lasts there. The CEO is even aware of how difficult HR is to work with. There was even and internal investigation where board members had to step in.
For working in the corporate office lots of lies, gossiping, retaliation and favoritism. And simply no one can mind their own business. This causes utter confusion making every day chaotic because you never know if what you have been learning and practicing could turn out to be wrong. 

The company does great things and means well but lacks organization, structure and standard.
 I was lent a listening ear at most during my time on the battlefield and some days that did the trick for me, other days were tougher and honestly effect my mental health working under my direct supervisor. 

The work environment lacked structure, support, and professionalism. Training was minimal, and expectations were not clearly communicated. Questions were often met with dismissive attitudes rather than helpful guidance, making it difficult to succeed. There was little to no follow-through from leadership, and overall, the workplace culture felt unwelcoming and uncollaborative. Promises made early on did not reflect the reality of the experience. This is not a place that sets employees up for success or fosters genuine professional growth.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working for this company. In terms of the kids and my coworkers. A lot of times I feel that is what can make a break a job. My coworkers were excellent. They were nice on my first ever day of working for this company. They were accommodating and help me get through a lot. The pay is pretty decent. If you don’t have a lot of big bills and you are a teen in high school or a young adult still living at home. This job is perfect for you. The hours are great, especially if you are still in high school. 

One thing I will say is I believe things on the management side of things could be better. There were times where I experienced rude behaviors. Even if it wasn’t directed towards me, it still  just made it very uncomfortable. Little petty things that you would expect out of high school. 

This organization is a big ole MESS. I genuinely do not know what its purpose is and am now suspicious of its mission. If you consider ever accepting a position here you will be looking for another job within weeks.

It is only good as a resume buffer or if you need a job as soon as possible because they will hire anybody as no one wants to work for this place. 

Management is nonexistent at every level. No one knows what they're doing AT ALL.  They get almost zero applications. So if you're just starting your career and you need a good foundation of what you DON'T want for your future, learn the lesson early and accept a job here. If you want to grow within your career, avoid at all costs. 

Exceptional non-profit, loved the work culture. Salaries dont matter, a front desk helper earned more than an instructor. Each department is like another company, no sense of direction, little to no communication between departments. No accountability for people who worked less, worked remote and earned more. No supervision, lots of employees walking around. 
BIG NONO: My position got added more responsabilities(another whole position) and got thrown a few extra bucks and a pat on the back! Main reason why I'm writing this review is because of that.

If you did not grow up here (e.g. attended camp, summer job), beware.   Dysfunctional executive team, weak managers, an unhappy line staff.    The "clicks" who "control" the agency; hire family, friends and pay them well.  Additionally, they claim to be an expert in your field, by trying to do your job, so they can appear to have a real job.  Confidential info is publicized and staff is required to work while on vacation/sick.  New managers/staff leave in less than a year. If you are serious about your career and well-being, do not come here.

People in the in that company were so nice and friendly.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
People who are working in the common point queens were so nice , kind and friendly. I really love to work with them.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They ere working like friends in that company. 
They try their best to help others specially immigrants who don’t know what to do. They Gide them to solve their problems.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I have a good day at working with company , I feel so good about working with them.

A typical day at Commonpoint,  come in early talk to management about the kids progress and safety. Prepare for the days class. Share ideas with fellow coches and try to spend extra time with kids that needed. While training 15-20 kids find a common ground that everyone will enjoy. During free time we have accesses to the centers pool and open basketball court and gym. When ever need management will be available to help in any way possible.
