Typical day is unpredictable but that is more a function of home health and not CNS.   Generally however if you are full time you don't have to worry most often there are plenty if not too many visits.
CNS management support team is a group of experts in hospice and homecare .   They are really amazing and work very hard to make CNS successful.  They are there for you and are willing to make personal sacrifices to help you. 

Work place culture is "what is one more thing I can do for you?".   You see that in clinical practice with honor salutes, charity care, senior wish, but not in CNS' communication style which can be suffocating in volume or in high volume work days where clinicians can feel overworked with little off time or work life balance or say in the matter.
Employees can be left feeling they are not valued or important.  E mail plays a role in this.  For example e mails sent well after work hours. And e mails sent informing you you have another admit to do.  One can feel like you have no say and if you work extra long hours to get that one more admit done no one recognized the sacrifice made to provide  the care.  They just want your documentation done.
The hardest part of the job is being able to understand problem shoot and handle the myriad of systems CNS uses to provide patient care.
The best part of the job is working with a company that has one of the best chances of being around for another 90 years.

Also what is great is having  amanagement and climicians that under it all  are really is dedicated to helping people.

I worked at the Salt Lake office. I think the company, in general, has only good intentions. If you end up a Team Assistant, be warned that most clinicians and even the other Team Assistants will treat you poorly. The CCCs are either rude and unapproachable or nice but too busy/gone to be approachable. Please don't trust the guy in HR. Anything you say to him will only make it back to your supervisor, meaning there is no privacy. They definitely didn't pay me enough for all the work and difficult people (other employees of CNS) I had to deal with. I had so much work that I never got to take my breaks and eat lunch at my desk. Being a Team Assistant means you are a doormat for all the clinicians, and you are treated like a 3rd class citizen. There is plenty of appreciation, celebrations, and free food for the clinicians but not so much for the Team Assistants (you get the leftovers). I did make some friends there, and they were a big help in not having a meltdown every day. I can't believe I made it there as long as I did. The few things I learned from being there are that people care more about money than others and that most nurses have no empathy. I usually don't review places I worked at, but I hope to help people avoid this job.s

A typical day at work was micromanaged and dictated by those not in the medical field.  
A typical day involved several home visits.  These visits were more than hours worked, which created invasion of personal time; despite my excellent time management and years of industry experience. 
Co-workers and immediate management were positive, but yet trying to keep their own heads above water with poor management style of the area manager. 
Executive management members were found to be hands off, unfriendly, rarely involved with southern office, and mocked feedback of employees openly. 
Compensation was moderate for the area - however poor management styles of area manager made one feel as if you owed more time to company without pay. Often spoke of their salary in relation to educated healthcare team members openly. I found this very inappropriate. 
I found the variety of patient population very enjoyable, and had numerous good experiences during patient cares. 
I believe CNS has a positive mission statement, however it was not practiced in my experience. I did find it interesting that no Chief Nursing Officer was appointed, nor involved in administrative decisions of the company where clinical insight was necessary for the end product of successful home care.

Registered nurse who case manages a variety of patients in their homes and other nursing facility including assessments, admissions and discharges of patients as well as skilled nursing and hospice cares. I have learned many new nursing skills as well as more ability to work both within a team and as an individual. Good, solid, and approachable management who are able to assist employees as needed. The hardest part of my job is enduring extreme weather conditions during the winter and summer months and having at times to enter dangerous neighborhoods alone. The most enjoyable part of my job is working with patients and the families and friends to provide the best possible care and outcomes so that we are all mutually satisfied with services rendered.

I worked as the intake coordinator for the Home Medical Equipment Respiratory Department for about 1.5 months. My time there had awful moments like: My supervisor calling me out for being late by 3 minutes in front of the entire morning staff. Condescending tones followed by feedback on mistakes with no further explanation. (“You did this wrong, don’t do it like that again.” Was a frequent line used in every scenario imaginable). Little to no proper training or guidance despite being responsible for initiating all patient care. As well as texts telling me  “Please don’t come in.” When informing them that I am sick, but still coming in to work. That last example would be perfectly reasonable, however, they then proceeded to fire me because of my “availability”. If you want to have anxiety attacks on the way to work every day because your boss hates you specifically, then I am sure you’d love working here!

Every office is different. The Orem/Provo office gets new management roughly every 18 months. The last management change (end of 2020) left MUCH to be desired. You’ll be okay if you can stay out of the office and communicate as little as possible with your supervisors, JUST focusing on patients. Employees who stay use this strategy. 
There is currently a culture of middle-school type  of behavior in management, making it an uncomfortable place to work.
Even when management was effective and caring the work/life balance everyone gives lip service to was difficult to achieve. 
The pay is competitive but the benefits are nothing to brag about.
The flexibility is a selling point they use in the job interview and is great when it’s available but they expect you to be available even when it’s after hours and you aren’t on call. 

Every day was different because every patient was different. And Everyday the patient had a varying day as the day before. Days varied upon the slopes of a bad day of hospice and a good day of a regular home health patient. 

I learned many skills working in the homes of patients. I learned how to pick up prescriptions, adjust to the varying homes, and how to do things without having help down the hall like you'd have at a typical nursing home. 

The hardest part of this job was driving from home to home with miles in between homes varying from 5 miles to 60+. As well as the passing of patients.  

The most rewarding part of this job was seeing how much of a positive impact I had on the patients lives.

Truly caring company and employees. Fantastic Administrator. Currently has a few nurses that have been working with CNS for more than 8 years, yet all nurses complain about the hostile Nursing Director. Company seems to take their reputation very seriously, and that is reflected in their extreme amount of charting compared to other companies using PointCare. Hardest part was getting through online educations at start of employment, with online access issues delaying week after week. Hired FT, but only ever got PT assignments. Most enjoyable part was the people you meet on the job.

Very toxic work environment. With both the Auth Supervisor and Lead, they verbally make you feel stupid in so many ways without coming out and really saying it. They thrive on making you feel beneath them and try their hardest to keep you there. Don't try to suggest anything that might make things easier or better, they will just shut you down and say it won't work. They have gone through so many employees in this department and the company doesn't even address the real issue, the manager and lead. The lead litterally has made every new employee cry and make them want to quit. I am not one to give up easy so I stayed way longer than I should have. Very stressful workplace and they expect a lot of work out of you for an 8 hour shift. 

There was a lot of turnover while I was here and pretty much everyone that I worked with had only been with the company for <2 years. It made it difficult to ever feel completely settled in the job. Granted, it was during COVID times so a lot of change was to be expected. I think that their training could be improved and they could do better at setting expectations. I do feel that office management had my back and wanted to help me succeed. I just needed more stability and clarity in my job and the constant change made it difficult to ever get that.
