Let’s admit it - healthcare is hard these days but I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.  I do we wish we could fill more open positions.  I feel very supported by the leadership - I enjoy that they are visible and approachable!  With a large team, you aren’t going to get along with everyone but, honestly, there’s really good teamwork here.  Most importantly - I know that everyone is doing their best to help patients in really tough situations.  I think the pay is very good - and there is opportunity for overtime.  The benefits aren’t that great - but I’ve also had worse.  Overall, I highly recommend working here - hardworking, good culture, supportive environment that truly makes a difference in lives.

this hospital continues to get worse each year I've worked here. it's not a pleasant place to be a patient or an employee. all the best doctors and nurses are leaving which itself is a huge red flag. A successful and compassionate hospital requires competent leadership. Culture starts at the top, but unfortunately the CEO is sorely lacking. She may come across as "nice" at first glance but her actions speak louder than anything and the declining culture is a testament to her questionable and at times dishonest priorities.

This workplace culture continues to worsen. Between the leadership we work with including the CEO and the two rehab docs/medical directors, there is a toxic work environment that lacks any ethical focus on what should be our mission - the patients. The way they treat their employees makes it clear that their priority is more on profit rather than employee well-being or patient safety. I remember when I started, employees were happy (even during a global pandemic!). The North Rehab hospital has been well respected in the past, so I know this hospital has potential to get back to that. We just deserve a better CEO and better doctors. 

This job is good if you enjoy increased demands while perpetually being short staffed.  Under newer management that changes it’s expectations weekly.   Highly unorganized with very little to no compensation for outstanding performance.   You are not a Community Healthcare employee despite the title.   This company sold out to Kindred and therefore ensures the hiring of incompetent staff in order to keep up with other rehab competitors to make money.  It is an LTAC that is afforded the opportunity to call itself a “Hospital.”

Bottom line…..all they care about is money and cutting corners at the expense of those on the clinical side, but they make sure those higher ups are getting a nice check. Pay is far, far, better at other facilities. Hours are not bad or equal to other hospital jobs. Lack of communication on the CEO’s part seemed to have brought a lot of grievance to the staff, along with their very long, emotionally fueled emails that borderline inappropriate to be sending. CEO also came across as very biased to those worked with at other facilities. Insurance was dismal. It’s a no from me. 

Almost everyone is nice. Nursing staff fill the linens basket too full, but housekeeping have to deal with it. Nursing staff will toss dirty diapers in the trash any way, getting fecal matter all over the trash can and lid, but housekeeping has to clean it. It smells horrible. Boss is friendly, the bosses boss will micromanage you constantly. Patients sometimes come in with diseases, and you'll clean their rooms not knowing you should have gowned up because you weren't told the patient was contagious, and no sign was put on the patients door for you. No room for advancement or pay raise.

Going home.  Typical day was horrible 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very poor leadership from the CNO down.  No direction, constant changes with expectations and patient care.   The pharmacist regularly asked staff to request patient bring medications from home. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful. Frequent staff turnover 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Chaos.  Apologies to patients/families on poor conditions.

The Upper Management is really good. Great CEO who is truly concerned for patient safety, cares about her staff, trusts and respects her leadership team, and that positive workplace culture trickles down throughout the entire building. 

Leadership has misguided priorities which leads to a bad work environment and a lack of emphasis on patient safety. It is a struggle to stay positive. I'm sure it is a difficult position, but the North CEO does not seem up for the task and provides little support to the employees. 

Blood draws, EKG, Accu-Chek, vitals, Etc I love being a CNA working in nursing homes and hospitals I really prefer the hospital I think I get a better experience and I do more in the hospital I really enjoy working for Community rehab hospital and would love to work for you guys again
