Very Politicized and politically correct. SEIU creates a hostile atmosphere (spying on people) between management and staff and results in much paranoia and political maneuvering. Everyone walks on egg shells. A lot of perfidious backstabbing. Probably the worst job I ever had although it paid the most. Additionally, they did not handle their funding well while I was there which created more stress and turmoil. Don't work here - you'll be sorry.

Hardest part of job is constantly being blamed for everything ex: cl not attending court, cl not meeting with tx team. Extremely underpaid for type of clientele we work with. Program managers are cool and supportive. Work/life balance is HARD. You’re constantly working OT without the pay due to the demands of the job. Cl will see you as an Uber if you let them. They are needy and some are violent. There’s lack of security when picking up cl from county jails. Not properly trained to deal with crisis situations 

Community Solutions has given me tons of experience; I have had the opportunity to work with many different populations for a variety of diagnoses and issues. I have gotten to experience working out in a community setting as well as at a clinic. Community Solutions also allows their employees to be flexible with their schedule and create the times that they see clients, which was a nice feature as well.

I experienced a hostile work environment, blatant favoritism, and drama. I also experienced gas lighting and felt invalidated by management if I tried to report verbal abuse or any issues from a cowoker that was favored by management. As long as I fed egos I felt safe. As soon as you start to question or push back they treat people poorly.

Manager is very supportive. The benefits are pretty good. Work can be challenging but we are reminded of our values and ethics, along with self care. Good place to grow in your leadership role. I’ve found difficult staff to work with, but I let it be known for the sake of my well being and the team. 

They offer quite a few trainings they make available to you. 
The community is very welcoming, and offer training from well qualified trainers.
The volunteer opportunities are there, but being called is seldom.  The employees that are employed there are passionate about their careers.

Poor management leads to exploiting employees.

Heavy caseloads and high turnover, leaving employees burned out and unappreciated, then it's a vicious cycle.

Physical and mental health heavily impacted.

Hard but rewarding work. Not the place work if you want to do the minimal.  Very intense workload and always busy. Great place for networking with other Agencies in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Comminity.

This is a unioned employee non profit where the union allows people to cheat, lie, and get away with whatever they want. Pay is horrible, management are pawns, and the union creates a negative "everyone is out to get you atmosphere" turnover high.....not worth it.

Good place to work if you are looking for mental health job experience.  Worked as a case manager. It was very team oriented and a supportive environment from co-workers. Management was a bit disorganized in terms of training new employees how to do the job.
