I have a unique perspective on this company because I first worked here from 1986 to 1995, left to gain additional industry experience, and then returned in 2010. That long view has shown me that the company’s greatest strength has consistently been its people and the meaningful nature of the work.

A typical day is technical, hands-on, and focused on quality, problem-solving, and supporting aerospace repair operations. Over the years I have continued to learn a great deal, both from the work itself and from experienced coworkers across engineering, production, and support functions. The work requires accountability, attention to detail, and a willingness to keep improving. In my experience, the company has also offered solid benefits and a stable place to build a long-term career.

Management, like in any company, has gone through changes over time, but overall I have found this to be a place where skill, experience, and commitment to quality are valued. The culture is built around hard work, technical knowledge, and pride in doing important work well. The hardest part of the job can be the pressure that comes with demanding technical requirements and production needs. The most enjoyable part is working with capable people and contributing to work that really matters. Overall, it has been a good place to build a career.

I worked at Component Repair Technologies full-time (Less than a year)






I left a company I worked at for 20 years for a chance to advance. As they said in all there advertisement. When I started the on boarding process. and they told me Congratulations and welcome Aboard, I had the Impression that I was Hired this was when I left my old job. ( NOPE!) 90 Probation period I found this out after leaving my other Job. There is far to much Micromanagement in that place. Training may not go well for a number of reasons. But Rest assured It will all be your fault in the end. They canned me before 90 days were up. I cannot go back to my former job and I have no means of support now. They give you reviews and tell you the ball is in your court. But it never is. It is a High stress place I have seen people quit on there own in the less than 90 days I have been there. Some in charge are really good at reverse engineering fault when they tell you to get out, enough said on that issue.
This job is 5% machining and 95% procedural paper work that you will never have seen before even if you have 30 years experience. If you cannot get it all and take notes the way they want you to,NOT THE WAY YOU NEED THEM!  and understand what should take a year to understand in 90 days. you will not have a job. They ruined what life I had.

Work was always typical (Not in a bad way). We did whatever we needed to inspect, clean, and refurbish aerospace parts. People were always fun to work with and talk to. The work environment was friendly and departments were good working together. The problem that many people had was management had limited people skills and on more than one instance workers were publicly chastised to their entire departments for minor mishaps. This breed some resentment in employees and ended in some leaving their departments or quitting entirely.
Other than that aspect, I enjoyed my time there and would likely had put in for other jobs to advance myself within the company. Which it always seemed very straight forward putting in for job posting for other jobs within the company.
The company owners always seems very friendly and would often have all company meetings to discuss things going on with the company. The company would also organize holiday events/parties and partner with local businesses for various things. CRT also had you take a medical exam and would not hire those whom were smokers to keep the company health care cost low. While I was employed, health was completely covered by CRT which was a major plus.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A FAMILY THIS JOB IS FOR YOU! Yes this company looks flashy and nice on the outside, but once brought in you will soon learn differently.  Yes they do offer great pay and good benefits, but tons of pressure HIGH TURNOVER rates in probabtionary periods. I tried so hard to maintain positive attitude but slowly wore down. Everyone kept telling me " you will soon learn what this place is about" and i did. Nothing about their motto "trust and fairness" is actually true at all. Tried to maintain a postive attitude, but slowly broken down by other co-workers negativity. Management was completely unorganized, a TON of rework caused by lengthy days and 6 days a week, a lot of pressure. The biggest thing that i can't stress enough is the lack of employees. They expect a single person to do 3 peoples amount of work in a timely fashion. But like i said if you have no life, no kids, spouse, or pets to take care of this place is for you! Not trying to slander the company at all! But based on first hand experience this  leads me to writing this review.

Good company good benefits, seem to have too much work which is a good thing. Only problem is the turnover rate is high. the amount of new people responsible for extremely crucial roles in the company  get thrown into making calls on components that most don't know how to make. The parts that come in are suppose to be in and out in 30 days and it is absolute chaos most of the time.Therefore the stress ends up on employees to get the job done . Being a welder there they will be patient with you and try to teach you the CRT way. But the some of the repairs are extremely hard and very easy to mess up so it is not a great place to begin welding. I believe they will not be able to perform some technical repairs when some senior welders leave or retire. If you can go in and stay out of the politics/ignore things you know are probly not the most sensable way to do something you can make it a career. Just be prepared to see and hear things that may be unreal or nonsensable.

Ex Clean line technician. I applied to be a welder at CRT. I was told that within 3 months I would go into the weld department. Then that turned to 4, then 5, then 6 months and then it became indefinite and there was no plan in place for me. Essentially that meant their was no plan in place at any point. This happens more often than not as they just hired in a guy for inspection if he did the same thing they told me. I don’t have high hopes for him going into inspection. CRT as a whole was not a terrible experience if I consider my coworkers and the work I did (because I told them I wouldn’t do anything extra because of their promise to put me in weld). When it comes to management, absolutely terrible. You are a number and they do not value you as an employee. Constantly firing/walking out people/people quitting. There is absolutely no plan to advance any employee and they intentionally hold back hard working employees from advancement.

Most recently, I have:
•	Contributed to the research and development of multiple turbine engine components.
•	Worked to minimize production down time by resolving technical issues efficiently.
•	Led a multi-disciplinary team to develop new work instructions for underdeveloped turbine engine components. 
•	Improved production methods and simplified equipment and part needs.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with constant interruptions from the shop floor and managing numerous projects and standard upkeep  tasks. This job requires very highly developed organizational skills, and time management.

Most enjoyable part of the job is seeing a plan and design come together.

Where to even start. This place has a high turnover rate for a reason. At least one person gone a week, 7 at the time of me leaving. Was trained wrong on purpose by my trainer and the guy still works there. It's definitely a good ol boys club, and people of color? Good luck. Diversity is out of the window. The company had the highest earning during COVID and paid zero bonuses except of course to management. Management also has incentive to keep the pay low so they get a kick back . Oh, and don't forget the COVID "loan" of $8 mil that was forgiven because they "couldn't hire qualified people". Enjoy the lies and constant over time! They say they're pay is good, but if anything it's below average and they try to tell you it's because you don't have to pay for health insurance. This place needs a union bad.

Working environment definitely depends on who you're working with/around. There's definitely a different vibe between the shop employees and the office. 

Advancement is dependent on many factors, some of which seem unfair. Some employees advance to positions with minimal experience while others are turned down for positions they are qualified for. Some people get hired based on who they know while others who have good experience don't even get an interview, internal and external candidates.  

The morale varies from person to person. There needs to be an open conversation regarding how employees truly feel without the fear of repercussion. 

The business aspect is good. The company continues to grow and advance in the first, being a dominate force in production and quality.

At first, working there was a good experience. As time went on and the company grew larger, it seemed to me the premise of the company shifted from putting out a quality of product to pure volume. This in my opinion was the main reason for the rework rate company-wide to sky rocket, and turn around time was not close to the target date most of the time.

During the last year management has changed, therefore the culture changed. As far as I was concerned the culture change did not suit the needs for the company in my eyes. It turned from a nice place to work to something close to feeling lucky I still have a job there.
