On the job I would periodically answer calls, take codes, bookkeep, and so much more. The call center was an eye opener to how much you can do and create a persona that you have everything under control. 
The management was great. They did everything they could to help better the call center and the employees. 
When first starting there my co-workers seemed a little standoffish, but soon we all became very close. Being close with your co-workers has it's ups and downs. On some level it is great because you can create a whole system and who does what, etc. However; on the other hand occasionally some drama would arise but would be instantly squelched soon after. 
Some of the stressors of the job could be carried home. Somedays I would go home more stressed, but that is to be expected when working in a fast paced environment.
One of my favorite part of working there was the manager. They had such a great work ethic and due to her minor in Psychology they were able to get on your level and empathize with you. 
Another great part about the job was all the opportunities, like free gym membership, help with up and coming college students, and so much more. 
I honestly rather enjoyed it there. It was the best job I ever had without a college degree.

Place is very difficult to work for is not really a whole lot of perks at the end of the day you spend time working there and you just kind of want the shift to be over the people there however are great that was always a good thing about working there.

Unfortunately management has a very serious disconnect with things HR could care less about the staff they take mistakes that people make and then use them against them while covering up for the bad workers to treat everybody else like garbage if you're not somebody important to them like clinical staff or something like that you're just as expendable they don't care about anything.

I've seen a lot of good people leave and move on to other places because of the way they were treated management claims to care but they really don't they just go on covering up for the people who create a lot of hostility and toxic environment the workplace.

It's very difficult if not impossible to even try to report it they claim that there is no retaliation if you report in good faith but that's not true either people are too afraid to report things because they know they'll be ripped into over it as much as they claim that they won't be.



I loved working as a LNA, but my supervisor was all about the budget not the pt. Supervisor pulled me away from a pt and told to leave so that I would not acquire any overtime, after the RN asked that I stay with the pt due to my ability to provide the comfort she needed. 
After I had some surgery, out on medical leave, I was first called asking when I would be returning. My surgeon required that I stay out 6 wks due to the demands of the position. I was called and told that they were eliminating my position with no options. 
HR was never supportive in trying to help LNA's find appropriate positions, or to resolve concerns of mistreatment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
My team members were the best part of working here.  Though staffing is stretched most coworkers are willing to switch shifts and are willing to help each other on the unit I worked on.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Constant requests by management to pick up shifts at their 3 different associated hospitals with no or minimal orientation to location.  Literally could not have a day off work without being asked to pick up another shift even if already working OT. If you’re looking for life balance not a great place to work. If your looking to rack up OT and test your endurance for burnout, might be the place for you.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Love my coworkers!  Management practices do not support a collaborative workplace environment.  Probably part of the reason a nurses union was recently voted in.

I'm not really sure what happened. I went through my normal 90 day orientation and I was informed everything was progressing fine. However they wanted to extend my orientation another 90 days which I agreed too. They felt I was progressing but I just needed to learn some more aspects of the job more thoroughly. They informed me that this was normal and that I should not expect to be perfect  until the three year mark. 

when the next 90 days were up I was asked to resign. When I asked what the problem was the answer was given "We don't know". 
The only thing that I could summarize was that the physician I was working with did not like new employees or students and had reported me. This happened on several different occasions.  

many of the long term employees are older. Very few find it a career home in this market. Younger employees come to get the experience and move on to far better paying hospitals 15 min down the road.

The company works their employees to their breaking point, practices professional punishment, and rewards under performers. They work harder to keep problemed employees and dismiss those who work hard. The environment is toxic and demeaning. Managment from upper to lower are not transparent and often talk down to their employees. Pay is a joke, and they often trip over quarters to pick up pennies. The culture is hemorrhaging from all areas, staff are mass exiting, and the CEO doesn't seem to care. If you even get a lunch, it's cut short. Most staff eat in their areas and don't leave their offices. HR doesn't care about the employees, they ignore complaints, cancel appointments and have no follow through. Management lies to staff and demeans department needs throughout the organization. Staff is treated as dispensable on all levels below Senior Management! 

You can meet some incredible people working here. However, that is the only positive thing about working for Concord Hospital. Otherwise you’ll experience nothing but oppressive management, co-workers that gossip more than they actually work, and absolutely ZERO work life balance. Benefits are substandard, and advancement in your career does not exist here when you’re clinical staff. They expect you to feel gratified when you receive your yearly raise, which is next to nothing. Not to mention Concord Hospital does not perform market adjustments as often as they should. When I first started, the last market adjustment was 5 years prior.  If you want professional growth, fair compensation for your hard work,  and to simply feel appreciated, Concord Hospital is the last organization you should consider working for. 

Concord Hospital itself is a great company to work for. You accrue 8 hours, each pay period, of personal time. There is a set holiday schedule for the upcoming year  so that way you know what you are expected to work. The schedule comes out 2-5 months at a time which is great over the summer months to be able to schedule personal things. Management in the pharmacy is usually always very accepting of sudden scheduling changes, or the sudden/unexpected need to leave. 
The pharmacists are great resources along with several seasoned pharmacy technicians that are employed there. There is a pretty predominant difference between the separate shifts however. 1st shift is 0700-1500, 2nd shift is 1500-2330, and 3rd shift works 7 days on/7 days off, so they work their 80 hours within 7 days fluctuating the come in at but is typically 2100-0700.

As a Customer Service Specialist in the Finance Department, I spoke with people regarding monetary issues.  That can be a very tenuous position.  What I found most difficult, in that it touched my heart, was the crying senior citizens, afraid they would lose their homes, social security, etc.  It was very  pleasant when I could alleviated their (and any other patient's) fear.

My immediate supervisor was lovely to work for and often gave me some of her work to do, as my position, at times, could be less than challenging.  We had a very pleasant relationship.

I very much liked my co-workers.  Some became personal friends.  If I was not fond of you, you would not be aware of this.  I don't believe personal dislikes should be exhibited in the workplace.  I, luckily, am one of those people who seems to like just about everyone.

If you are a hard worker and care about what you do then do not work here. You will be taken advantage of and have to do more work while the rest of your lazy co workers just putter around.  If you work in food service or environmental services you are looked down upon. People are only nice to you if they think you are important like doctors, nurses, or higher ups. The pay is way to low for what you are expected to do, and their convenient way of wording job titles allows them to do this. Such as a perioperative service assistant gets paid super low when their title should actually be an anesthesia technologist because of what the job actually entails. If you value your sanity do not work here. Management is useless and doesn't hold anyone accountable for the work they do or don't do. They also have no clue what actually goes on and don't seem to care.
