I will say by far Connect Pediatrics is the place to work at. Long story short, they make me feel like a human being, and treat their nurses well. They take care of their nurses and will often reward their nurses for jobs well done. One of the best parts I like about this company is that there are no limitations to how many hours you can pick up to earn that extra overtime save for your own limitations. Which in the end is a bonus when trying to create a good work life balance. Like most pediatric Homehealth companies you are responsible for one child, and expectations of duties is limited to what your license allows. I love management, they are easy to communicate with and in general staff is always available to help you out. Some of the cons that I have is that even though they are an established company in Texas, they are still relatively new to Dallas. Which means their case load is still growing, and locations of those cases tend to be outside Dallas central. Their benefits are standard, but they are one of the few companies that will offer education benefits to assist LVNs to become RNs.

To begin I was basically told that since I was an LVN I could only work 5 hours of overtime a week because the company didn't make a large profit for LVN's working overtime. I overlooked it and continued working for this company. In December, apparently a schedule change had been discussed without including everyone  that worked in the home. The scheduler apologized for "dropping the ball" as she put it!! The family didn't even discuss the schedule change and apparently it had been a topic for a month!! The communication from management is poor!! You won't keep good, caring nurses when there is no proper communication.  You end up with nurses who don't even read that patients plan of care or know how to work a pediatric flow meter to administer oxygen to the patient. Or a nurse who "Didn't know " the frequency to vitals for a patient! Overall, NOT a good company to work for. They also offer empty promises to families about being able to staff then in 5 days tops!! A very fraudulent company. Not sure if the owner knows everything that's being done throughout his company!!

I have been working at Connect Pediatrics since October of 2021 after I was let go from my previous job when I attempted to return to work from maternity leave. Interview process was stress free with clinicians like myself and I felt comfortable knowing that they understood that I needed a work/life balance as a new mom. Job Culture is very positive and they hold events every quarter to get the team together for lunch. The company also makes it a priority to recognize  and reward individuals on their hard work and consistency. There is always opportunity to grow within the company if you seek it out and are interested in a promotion. They also make sure to meet with you consistently the first year with the company to make sure you are happy and if there is anything they can do to help. I have been very happy working with Connect Pediatrics and it largely due to working with like-minded coworkers. 

I’ve been with Connect since October of 2023, and during my time here, I’ve truly enjoyed being part of this team. I feel fortunate to work in an environment that values collaboration, communication, and high-quality patient care.

The workload is manageable and allows me to focus on delivering thoughtful, individualized interventions without feeling overwhelmed. The flexibility within my schedule has helped me maintain a strong work-life balance, and I genuinely feel supported in both my professional responsibilities and personal well-being.

Since joining Connect, I’ve felt consistently valued. My clinical input, patient advocacy, and contributions to treatment planning are respected and appreciated. That level of trust and recognition motivates me to continue giving my best each day.

I’m proud to be part of this organization and look forward to continuing to grow here both professionally and personally.

Staff overall is friendly and helpful. I never had a problem getting in contact with a manager or supervisor to get help with an issue; someone was always willing to help. Good work atmosphere, positive work environment.  I do like the company, their core values and how the company is run; however I am actively seeking other employment as the pay is on average $3 to $6 less AN HOUR than most agencies in the area which stinks! I'd love to stay, but honestly cant afford it.... :( I have discussed the issue multiple times with management, however, they seem to think tiny increases will help; BUT when you are paying your staff $3 to $6 less an HOUR than the competition it doesn't really feel like you care about your staff.

I have worked for several other home health agency's over the years and can attest that my experience with Connect has been nothing but positive.  Everyone is highly supportive of the mission of helping children with a positive, caring & supportive attitude and I truly feel as if I am part of a team! Leadership takes the time to speak with you and hear your input and consider your perspective.  For the first time in a long time, I have a healthy work-life balance free of micro management which makes such a huge difference. Connect truly wants the best for all it's employee's and that drive to continue to grow, prosper and promote from within is infectious. Happy to have found Connect and wouldn't want to work anyplace else!

The company is growing, so there are definitely growing pains in processes and procedures, but the owners are always willing to listen and find solutions when possible. They offer fairly competitive pay and are doing everything they can to offer competitive benefits in comparison to their competition. At the end of the day, the company isn't a corporate agency, so there is still heart and soul involved in everything they do, which makes for a much more enjoyable work environment. They advocate for the nurses and staff, but also advocate for families they serve, working to create balanced relationships. 

Pay could be better as my role has many jobs, but that is also to be expected in a growing company. Otherwise, it's a really great place to be and they truly care about their employees.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company only cares about money! They do not appreciate the nurses even though the nurses make their business!! The owners do not have the nurses best interest , only side with the family because of the money! The benefits are horrible, and you receive only 1 hour of pto per 40 hours and then the hours do not role over into the following year. They will also cheat you from what you are suppose to be paid and overwork you for the low pay given. They won't pay you if you are exposed or have Covid19 even if you received it on the job. And most of their cases are the most difficult and the cases that nobody wants to work at.

The whole Connect team is always supportive and extremely helpful!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Getting up in the morning.  Seriously though, making sure documentation is submitted on time. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fun and supportive. Every single staff member always goes above and beyond to be helpful. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get to home, assess patient, administer meds, go to school with patient, document, follow patient at school and make sure patient is inoptimal health for rest of day.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The support from the supervisors. Excellent response time and assistance if there is ever a problem. Very understanding if a emergency arises and you need the day off. Just excellent!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing it's great if the pay was better I would have stayed forever.

Family oriented everyone is kind and supportive.

Clock in with your patient, begin your assessments and begin your day.
