CBH would be a good place to work if they had better communication and more organization. I felt like I was left on my own to figure out a lot when I first started and they are very unorganized. When reaching out to the clinical director for help, it was rare to hear back right away or wouldn't hear back until hours later. I did not receive a lot of direction on how/what I should be working on with clients, especially since I did not have a lot of experience in that type of field. The supervisors I had were very nice and did their best to help me improve and were very supportive but I felt like some of them were just as confused as I was when working with clients. There is also no mileage reimbursement or pay included in your hours for driving to clients’ houses. Most of the communication is online and it was hard being in an environment where you rely on texts, emails, and video calls for communication rather than in person conversations. So if you want a job that is mostly independent then this job is for you, but if you’re looking for a job with a sense of community then I would suggest looking elsewhere. 

This company is contracted through different public schools. The placements for school positions are not guaranteed. You’re placed in different classrooms working with 2/3 students. Which can be very overwhelming for anyone. If students. Don’t have school, you don’t have work. They do not offer PTO, paid holidays, personal time. The pay compensation depends on your experience and education. Overall I’d say CBH is good company to start with and get on your feet but nothing long term. I will say the diversity is amazing. It was nice to work with so many different people from different backgrounds. The students are great. And I enjoyed working with them!  They do need to offer more benefits especially for the work that we do as registered behavioral technicians. 

At first I really enjoyed doing direct care with kiddos. But then when I got hired I was told I will no longer be doing direct care and just “observations” in order to train the student paras or their one to one’s. But in certain districts these kiddos don’t have one to one, and they’re for no one to train. There was no clear communication of what I will be actuall doing, my BCBA didn’t even know what my job was suppose to be. I ended up driving to three different schools, spent most of my time in a car and not with kids. It’s unorganized, no mileage reimbursement, no sick days and only five PTO day you need to occur. When holidays or schools breaks happen you don’t get paid, and over all it was just frustrating that no one knew what I was suppose to do. 

A typical work day includes you working at a school with other RBTs & BTs. Their's a BCBA on the team too but it was too many of us for him to individually meet/ make IEPS for kids. When you look at management(EVERYONE who works in the office) for help, they're rude & argumentative rather than helpful. I was scolded because I put an exclamation mark in one of my emails and I had a few colleagues who said they had bad experiences with management. When i brought it up on multiple occasions I was fanned off or ignored. I loved the kids & some of the co workers! 

Clinical director never shows up to supervision meetings, doesn't full discuss cases before you accept, and doesn’t give accurate information about pay/ work tasks. Also messages outside of work hours or never answers. I’ve had 2 supervisors both very kind and respectful. Great communicators, gave great feedback, and loved teamwork. 

CBH has a lot of really solid people working at the company. Upper management really listens to concerns and supports the staff at all levels. I actually really enjoy my job and I've worked here for over 3 years now. They hire some of the best BCBAs around and I am excited to see what the near future holds for continued growth in this company.

Be prepared to be thrown into different classrooms with no warning. Read contract they enforce non compete laws. Do not put them on your resume if you worked a short time. Staff is not appreciated and do most of the work. Prepare to deal with aggressive behaviors with no support. 

I received this job as my first post-grad experience. The company exposes you to the ABA field immediately, but not sustainable for a basic living. The benefits are slim to none and the workload is very overwhelming at times. Would definitely use this company to get your foot into the door if you’re interested in behavioral health. 

It was very fast paced and the training was amazing.  The kids I worked with had many different behavior problems due to ADHD, Autism, and ODD.  I enjoyed all of the students I was able to work with.

They don’t offer PTO if you’re sick it’s a big process to call out and they make you feel bad for it as of emergencies are not inevitable. They’re payroll continue to have issues. Didn’t have a good experience with this company.
