What is the best part of working at the company?
One of the best aspects of my experience was the communication between recruitment and new hires. The recruitment team was responsive and transparent, and onboarding communication was fairly consistent and supportive. It helped create a smooth transition and made expectations feel clear from the beginning.

The strongest part of my experience was the communication between recruitment and new hires. The recruitment team was responsive and fairly consistent during the early onboarding stage.

However, after the offer was extended, there was noticeable disorganization. Incorrect client and location information were sent, onboarding was delayed, and there was limited communication about changes to the start date and increased travel expectations. Responses to questions were often vague, which created uncertainty.

Initial supervisor interactions felt unstructured. One meeting began late with minimal greeting or introduction, and there was no clear overview of the client or role expectations. Some interactions felt disengaged and overly casual, with more focus on informal conversation rather than preparing and supporting a new hire. Overall, there appeared to be limited coordination between administrative staff and the BCBA team, leading to confusion around assignments and timelines.

While recruitment communication was a positive, stronger organization and clearer communication after the offer stage would significantly improve the new hire experience.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment appeared to lack cohesion and clear internal structure. While recruitment communication was organized, coordination between administrative staff and the BCBA team seemed inconsistent after the hiring stage. There was noticeable confusion around client assignments, start dates, and onboarding timelines, which created uncertainty for new hires.

Supervisor engagement felt minimal and at times disengaged. Interactions were somewhat informal and unstructured, with limited preparation for welcoming and orienting new staff. Communication often felt reactive rather than proactive, and clarity around expectations was not consistently provided.

Overall, the culture appeared to reflect internal communication gaps and a lack of coordinated support for new hires, which impacted the sense of professionalism and stability during the transition into the role.

I've had an overall positive experience working here. The management team is incredibly kind and genuinely cares about both the staff and the clients we serve. They always do their best to support us, even with the limited resources available due to the school-based nature of the practice.

One of the unique perks of this job is the paid time off during school holidays, which is quite rare in similar positions. It provides a great work-life balance, especially if you have family or other commitments during those times.

However, the pay is on the lower side, largely due to the budget constraints of working in a school-based setting. I've noticed that the same position in an acute care setting tends to pay significantly more, which can be a bit discouraging. Additionally, there are limited opportunities for growth within the organization, so it might not be the best fit if you're looking for a place to advance your career long-term.

Overall, it's a great place to work if you're looking for a supportive environment with understanding management, but be aware of the financial and career growth limitations.

Due to under-staffing, a typical day would become chaotic due to workload, new admissions would trump patient revisits. Work day would extend into midnight hours as new admission charting was to be completed as soon as possible, at times those admissions numbered 2-3 in one day.  Revisits were assigned to other nurses whom had no knowledge of the patients history, most of the time the assignment went to LPN's. As a case manager it was difficult to manage cases when revisits were floated to other nurses. Direct nursing manager was overwhelmed and could not provide support needed for development. The most enjoyable part of my job were my patients, and bringing comfort and  confidence in there ability to safely transition into their home, again.

The administrator and director are not kind. They are very intimidating and make the staff feel they are inadequate Patients call and complain they can’t reach a supervisor because they don’t answer their phones and don’t check their voice mail . Clients don’t get calls returned even in emergencies.The hospice department is the worst. Nurses are unprofessional and when families call because they aren’t sure their loved one is dead it’s a struggle to find a nurse to see the patient. Administration isn’t organized and are always scrambling last minute to tell you they need you to do something  like train new employees right away because they need bodies It’s very sad to work for a company that is so uncaring and actually rude to staff .New employees come on board and leave ASAP because of how the offices in CT are run so poorly. Office workers who aren’t health care providers are treated the worse I highly recommend that you don’t apply to work in Orange or Norwalk.

We work the 7.5 hours a day, started at 6 am at my place working remotely until the 8am. I arrived at 8 am to the office and start working on other things. First of all checked my emails to see if anyone needs my help, ej. Doctors trying to use one of our tools: (Comprehensive Health Risk Assesment Form). Then I keep set my task of the day (using prioritity criteria) and performed them keeping my supervisor in touch with my advance. The hardest part of the work is the the multitask environment, ej I learned how to work with the main task, the thing that come up as an emegency, attending the calls and learning new stuff at the same time. The most enjoyable part of my job is when you achieved 1 heavy task after 3 days of hard work, is a relief. I had 4 co-workers and we learned to appreciate each other (jang on fridays).

I received no training to work here. All supervision is done over Telehealth on my personal device. If it gets damaged you’re out of luck. If your client is active good luck chasing them around their house with an iPad (that you bought) so your supervisor can see what they’re up to on the camera. If your life is threatened, even if you believe your safety is at risk, management will tell you the field isn’t for you and it’s something we need to deal with as providers. I never saw a behavior intervention plan for any of my clients behaviors. I was expected to get hit, bit, punched, and threatened with no attempt to reduce the behaviors. I never received feedback from my supervisor unless I explicitly asked what they thought. Overall, the clinic has a constant high turnover rate. 

I have been employed at Constellation Health Services for almost a year, and I can confidently say it has been the best experience of my career. After school hours was  the most frustrating part about the job. I wanted to work more hours but I always had to wait for the specific hours

Working with families was fun especially with what I did. I didn’t have hours in the office but I worked with families 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I only worked few hours a day.  After school  I met with the individual at his house and followed the instructions given by the ABA clinician.

CHS has a good reputation for their school based services. However, there are not enough things put in place to support slp's at the moment unfortunately. There needs to be a lead SLP in place to ensure needs are met etc. There's poor communication between district and company, so you often get shuffled around and left out of the blue. You have to be extremely vocal about your needs and hope they don't fall on deaf ears, as the director is often addressing many other issues, in constant meetings, and manages various districts as well. For CFY's please make sure your supervisor/mentor has their requirements as assigned supervisors often have a full caseload, off site. Stay on top of your CF requirements. 

Review my daily working diary is very important to reach my personal and company goes. I organize many activities and work   service points with the goal of attracting as many possible prospects to the company. I always visit the doctors that give us service so could reach the next service range helping him grow his memberships with our company. The hardest part of my working day is realizing that the day is coming to an end and I haven't got a sale even though I had various a presentations in the day. The best part of my job is that I enjoy giving service to people that are in need of help and orientation because the majority of them being elderly people.
