I started working there as an LPN. They pay $17.00/hr which is barley enough to pay regular adult bills on your own let alone with health insurance coming out. They'll rely on your need to pick up hours.

They aren't all that organized. The med carts are a mess. They don't really have anyone to train you at all - everybody who trains you will have worked there for a year and maybe a little more. You have to beg someone to go over your benefits with you.

Too many residents for one person with too many behaviors. A lot of it could have been cut down by just hiring two nurses per hall. You will be beat up on and when I say beat up on - I mean BEAT up. All the residents are not little elderly people. Some staff was really hurt and had to go to the hospital.

They have no organized system of how nurses should operate within their shift. Everyday you may find a new tast being added onto your list of things you THINK you have to do. Not really any "real" nursing. I mean unless UTIs and stool samples are fun to you.

Management changes every five seconds. Swear every other day its a new compmay. Not surprised. They just need to close and start over.

All in all - you can find less stress and better pay elsewhere.

The advisement is a lie lie. Fun friendly bs. Co workers yes. Management just keeps piling it on refuses to help. Bonus a lie . A nurse quit 2 weeks before me because they did not give her the bonus she was told and it was on her hire papers. Insurance is a joke. Chart everything you do. Do not let management tell you they will do it because when you read it and know it is a lie.  Day shift nurses on the floor with a hall are truly amazing. Management will watch you drown and when ask for help they tell you to ask another nurse really??? They all are drowning. Oh and their is more dept mangers walking around or sending u messages on what to d. Like seriously like u could say have done that faster then typing a message. And they have a wound nurse but only does certain people/hall.  Admission are crazy the nurse does it all ICD codes and they are always coming. The last day I was there night shift got 6 admissions with no staff... I was embarrassed

The resident’s I cared for and my co-workers. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not enough help ever.   A D.O.N that didn’t care and would lie to your face and bully you whenever she felt like it but always insinuating she was only 
“asking” because of something someone else said.  Way too much drama.  Look at all the nurses and CNAs that have left just in the last 6 months.   

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was horrible due to lack of help.  My co-workers were great and helpful but there was just not enough help.   Moral was almost nonexistent and believe me it was DRAMA CENTRAL. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Total frustration.  No time to sit down.  Literally.  99% of the time I couldn’t do charting until after shift change because the resident needs came first to me and we had no help.

-horrible communication from corporate level to floor employees 
-Regional administrator very rude to floor employees and their concerns for quality patient care 
- expensive medical premiums for a family with children which completely cancels out the competitive wage. Unless you are single with no kids you won’t be very profitable. 
- corporate is a do what I say not what I do. Ex: don’t have your cell phones out.. as corporate walks around using theirs. Corporate also tries to dictate who you can be friends with in social media, including previous patients and co workers. (Previous patients before CHS was a part of the facility or owned it) you feel very threatened by corporate as they think employees should be customer service friendly while trying to work very understaffed with not enough accommodations for patient care.

Nurses are Overwhelmed Overworked and expected to spilt medication carts. Don’t even think of getting help from Management, they wouldn’t come in if the bldg was on fire. You are expected to work with 30+ patients and help other Nurses with their workload. You are expected to stop your morning med pass to attend a pointless morning meeting where you are assigned more work to do by lousy upper management with no work ethic or credibility. Majority of Upper management and Nurses smoke cigarettes every 15 minutes . No one stays at this facility it’s a revolving door. Wouldn’t put my dog in here. You are also expected to take patients to smoke even if you aren’t a smoker . If you do smoke you will get along great with management since that is all they do on a daily basis

Not a facility that I would ever work at again. Human Resources is inadequate, scheduling was a nightmare, staff is not treated like a team by management and the management doesn’t communicate with their staff or each other. Policies would change and no one would communicate and then staff would get wrote up not knowing. Care was lacking due to being understaffed. The dietary department was not literate which put our patient safety lacking. This place will hire anyone that breathes. Don’t apply thinking you can help improve things, they refuse to better the work environment and they want uneducated employees so they can pay them little to nothing and work them to death.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay was the only good thing.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Understaffed. Poor care to patients made acceptable. Management never helped. No assistance with admissions. Never a thank you but constant criticism. No teamwork whatsoever, too many cliques amongst the managing staff. Unreasonable amount of work for the nurses. The most filthy place I have ever worked, and I used to work in factories before I was a nurse!

Cliques on every corner. No teamwork. 👎 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, so much so that I began having anxiety attacks on my way to work.

The staff doesn't make your work easy. The way that work is share is not fair. Gossiping and lying is the best thing they know to do. The management is worst. They never listen to you, to your complain. Your work overload is too much. 1 STNA for 25-30 full assisted residents. They want you to do all your charting even with that amount of residents to care of.  The paid is too low even though they know you always work short staffed. I don't even know why people are still sending their loves one there.  The shift differential is 0.75 cent after 3pm and during the weekend. That is too low. The workers exploitation. 

I worked there for 2 years. I liked my job it's a very demanding job as far as staying very busy. There's always something that can be done. And you have to have the right kind of attitude and personality to work in the departments there bc you work with patients and there families every day. 

I've been working as a Pediatric RN at the Medical Day Care Center in Galloway for 1 1/2 years caring for children with medical needs. I can't say enough about the wonderful work environment and, most especially,  the loving and caring staff that I have been blessed to work with.  Each child's medical needs and individualized plan of care are addressed and implemented in a loving and nurturing environment by a group of awesome professionals that work as a TEAM to ensure each child feels special and excited about coming to school each day, knowing that their needs will be met in a comfortable and safe environment.
