What is the best part of working at the company?
Best co-workers & patients. Worst- Noticed a change since "old guard mgt/admin" replaced= Human Resources or persons hiring friends, placing them in positions regardless of experience or qualifications. Motivated by incentives-referral bonuses. Ex. Fact checks through research/background info of many new employees who had zero medical training/ed. hired w/o meeting qualification descriptions in job posting. Many pp discounted deleted from job pool including present loyal employees well qualified & outside applicants well qualified meeting all criteria and having several excellent references (including long time employees-unaffiliated with hiring process) One job was posted for 6 months and went unfilled due to this unprofessionalism. Research was prompted after continual rejection as potential new hire who met all criteria for several positions. Something was off. Finally realized if the right person was not getting the bonus the wrong persons may be in unqualified positions. Very discouraging.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Wondering when and if the correct hiring practices would ever be implemented. Advertising who had the most referrals is not a priority medical incentive. Looking into why this is happening is a better one because eventually there may be a breakdown in the system if qualified educated, experienced candidates with all of the boxes checked are not given the opportunity over a friend hired due to incentive bonuses. Needs more growth , education, & opportunity for advancement for loyal employees within company. Solution-being more vigilant about selecting talented experienced non-biased training professionals in certain areas of the company.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
once in the correct placement/position-co-workers are helpful, enjoyable, team players. One needs to feel they are doing what they love-once occurring it is not viewed as a job & produces better outcomes for everyone. The environment is important because time is a limited commodity (priceless). People are down to earth and easy to relate to. If no monopoly on the majority of hiring & you manage to be placed -highly recommended especially in clinical areas. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Priceless once placed accordingly.

I worked with a great group of people from the coders to the cafeteria
workers.  I made a lot of great friends and they were all wonderful to
work with.  I was able to communicate with different areas of the hospital and we were able help each other if issues arose for any reason.  They helped when I had questions on accts and I was able to do the same thing for them when needed. I was given the opportunity by my Director to be able to make corrections to patients
accts, to add or remove charges if added incorrectly or to add charges to accts if forgotten.  It was an opportunity to see the billing side of the hospital.  I worked very closely with the charge master
coordinators to have cpt codes added when needed to review errors on claims if charges were missing or modifiers were missing or incorrect.  I worked with Radiology, Cath Lab, Endoscopy,etc. case management when OBV charges needed to be reviewed or added.
Patient access called for dx codes or cpt codes for registration issues, dr offices called for the same reason. I was given quite an education at this hospital that I was never given at any other hospital
I have worked at.  The hardest part of this job was there just wasn't enough time to do everything in one day that needed to be done.
I also worked with 6 outpatient coders for educational purposes, training, coding issues.  My outpatient coders were responsible for doing the charging for OBV accts and overnight SDCs, and Labor and Delivery outpatient visits.  It was at times very stressful with trying to do all the necessary requirements needed to complete charts each day.

It doesn't matter where you go,
You can always have clicks.
With that , aside , when you're a hard worker and very dedicated , amazing thing is management at this particular hospital does , in fact , notice!!!
I learned this , I did not believe that they noticed , but like I said , I did learn that they noticed very much.
A typical day at work, we get there, we do rounds report, we have huddled and then we do vitals, take the patient's potty ask about pain, make sure they have fluids. check on every patient, make sure they're doing okay, and the best part of my day is actually connecting with my patients.  I do not sit at the nurse's station much ever. If I do, it's because I'm charting. I'm the type of person that likes to stay busy and here I can definitely stay busy. I am never bored. Like I said before, I like to be able to communicate with my patients, Get to know them a little bit and know what they want for goals , for the day or for a couple days ahead , if they're going to be there a little longer.
We are busy throughout the day, passing trays, picking them up, walking patients, showering or bathing and much more.
The most important thing is safety, making sure nobody has a fall. If you are dedicated to patient care and safety, this is a great place to work.



The average work day takes a little getting used to. They are a medium sized hospital but they are busy a majority of the shift. I enjoyed the fast pace though. The people you work with become your family. They are a community hospital and as such they are allowed certain benefits for their employees. For example, as an employee any time you came there as a patient you got a large employee discount plus another large discount if you paid ahead of time. They also had a great insurance package and a decent retirement package. My coworkers were incredible. They were some of my best friends and it nearly broke me to leave. I would return in a heartbeat. Management was great in my department as well. They were very approachable and helpful. Anytime you had an issue it would be resolved to the best of their ability, and in a timely fashion. The management had no issues about jumping in to help you if you were short staffed that day. They were incredible.  I wish my current job had management like them. 

I received minimal support from admin. There is no patient panel management, so your panel never maxes out; you could see 1 or 8 new patients a day, even 1 year into your contract. No autonomy in terms of running your clinic with your staff. Admin does not appreciate advocating for patients or for yourself; they're looking for good soldiers, not good providers. In 2023, 9 PCPs quit the company and probably about the same number of specialists. I was told (because I directly asked) that the C suite was stable, but 3 months later, the CEO left and the COO moved to CEO and 9 months later, 1/3 of the company was bought out in a transaction that had absolutely been initiated when I asked that question. Typical day at work included inbox overload, my nurse continually asking for and being denied additional clinical support, both of us doing tasks that didn't require a license and could have been performed by a HS intern, etc. EMR wasn't built well, so many convenience functions didn't work at all, necessitating extra manual work to get all the information required. I would not recommend working for this company, and their reputation in the area supports that recommendation.

my started at 4:30 am pt coming in for surgery,endoscopy, cath lab.the next step was making sure the orders were there and insurance was verified.i make sure we had all the orders for the   patient ,paper work was ready so they did have to wait,rest of day was typing and greeting patient by name ,making sure there 
demographic was right,verify ins,making sure  orders were ready for entire day.,and the rest of the day spent greeting patient getting there demographic and insurance and id ,verfied for hosp and patient.that test were covered.toward end of my day would check patient list for next day making sure every orders were there , and check on  the insurance or workman comp.keep busy rest of the day by greeting patients having radiology  or other type of test and check there  demographic with patient .entering there radiology codes so they would know patient was ready and waiting on.at the end of day clean my desk and organized it

A typical day was filled with many innovative challenges. My department members and I worked collaboratively as a team to meet job expectations. The hardest part about working at Conway Medical center was helping all personnel members meet their optimum performance. The most enjoyable part was in meeting set goals and staying under budget with a team of professionals committed to excellence. 

During my years at Conway Medical Center, I learned how to prioritize what needed to be done to stay ahead of my deadlines. Next, I learned how to trust my team to do what needed to be done and problem-solve with them when they were unsure of how to handle the growing demands of our job.

This was the worst experience I ever had. management changes so much. So much micromanaging going  on they worry about the wrong things and not ways to improve patient care. Been verbally cursed at and yelled by a MD was told to work around it and ignore it . They only care about those who kiss up to management and if you don’t be prepare to get bullied. My co worker were awesome and so was the providers. That’s it.  management are fake they will smile in your face then write you up for minor things. Was let go for eating at my desk and “ poor performance” when the two provider I worked with had no complaints about me. Stay away. One thing I learn about this job is to kiss up to management that’s all. Plus PTO sucks. 

At Conway Medical Center I learned how to chart on patients, how to take blood sugar for infants and adults, how to help with patient care both in the nursery and in other departments. The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to be hands on with the babies and take care of the babies. The hardest part of the job would probably be being floated to other departments way too much and getting thrown to do things that I was not used to doing with barley any help from the other CNA's and nurses since my job was mainly in the nursery. I thought for the most part management was good except when they would make decision after you got to work and were not upfront about thinks like being floated on some days that I was told I was not supposed to be floated, but was floated anyways.

TYPICAL DAY AT WORK WOULD BE TO ACCEPT 2 ICU PT'S  OR 3 PCU PT'S OR IF IN CHARGE POSITION HELP PHYSICIAN'S OR NURSES. ASSIGN PT'S TO BEDS . GO TO MAYDAY CALLS IN HOSPITAL.  LEARNED  TO BECOME PROFICIENT IN CARING FOR VENTILATOR PT'S, ALL ICU DRIPS, PACEMAKERS, TEMPORARY PACEMAKERS, SOME IABP EXPERIENCE, PT SAFETY, PROTOCOLS FOR CHEST PAIN, PNEUMONIA, SURGERY PT'S,  LEARNED HOW TO CARE FOR HYPOTHERMIA PT'S, SEPSIS PROTOCOL PT'S, ENJOYED WORKING WITH ALL CO-WORKERS. HARDEST PART OF JOB ASSIGNING MORE PT'S TO NURSE ALREADY MAXED OUT. MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF JOB WOULD BE CARING FOR THE PT, MEETING ALL THEIR NEEDS.
