As long as you don't question anything at all, you will succeed here. The leadership has changed and not for the better. The sole focus is on pushing charts out the door, regardless of the quality of the work. People are no longer treated as valued members of the team but are now simply numbers on a spreadsheet and if you aren't meeting completely unrealistic and arbitrary metrics you are let go with little to no warning. There are too many coders for manager, supervisors and team leads to be able to manage.

Senior leadership changed a year and a half ago and things went downhill from there. It's a get the charts out the door or work somewhere else environment. There is no clear direction from senior leadership beyond pushing coders to code faster and meet unrealistic goals. It has become very much an "in crowd" situation and those who are not in are not heard, they are told not to ask questions and then given absolutely no direction as to what it is that they are supposed to be doing. Performance improvement plans are handed out like Halloween candy under the guise of they are here to help you but all they really are is the beginning of what they will to justify firing you. As an example they may expect 3 charts per hour and aren't taking the size or code density of the chart into account. No one can code all dates of service, all mapping HCC and RxHCC codes at three charts per hour when their charts are averaging 75 pages or more with 95% accuracy and this is what inevitably happens on every project. Managers are pushed to manipulate queues to meet unrealistic monthly deliverable goals and end up with an unbalanced number of large charts left. 

I worked here for 4 years and overall it's a good place to work. CorroHealth tries their best to maintain structure at this remote company by having frequent company meetings including coders in team and managerial meetings to get your feedback. I like that you get to interact with your managers and teammates. 
You get 7 paid holidays off and 2 floating holidays you can use whenever. They offer free CEU'S and a great amount for Membership/Tuition Reimbursement. They have good benefits for medical/dental/vision, life insurance etc.
You are placed on a specific team that codes for a certain client. If the client ends their contract with the company, CorroHealth will place you on another client and team. I left because, there have been a couple of times where they not able to put me on a different team quickly. Sometimes they can place you on another client quickly if there are clients and teams that have an open spot for you. If not, you will be placed on your previous client they moved you from or placed on bench until they contact you with work. You do get annual raises but, I wish the company would give frequent raises based on national cost of living like some hospitals do.
The lack of consistent work and pay made me finally leave. 

Corro was once a company I proudly recommended to colleagues and peers, but unfortunately that is no longer the case.

Over the past few years, I’ve seen a significant decline in employee support, career development opportunities, and overall workplace culture. Internal advancement opportunities have become limited, productivity expectations have more than doubled, and performance-based bonus programs have been eliminated. At the same time, departments and support functions have been reduced with responsibilities redistributed among remaining staff resulting in heavier workloads and increased pressure.

Communication from leadership is inconsistent, resources are limited or often non-existent, and employees are frequently expected to do more with less. Despite positive performance reviews, raises are difficult to obtain. Staffing levels are inadequate for the volume of work, creating ongoing challenges for employees trying to meet organizational goals.

The company continues to expand its global workforce with over 15,000 in employees in India while actively reducing domestic roles, which has contributed to concerns about job security and morale among staff. Leadership and management decisions have had a noticeable impact on employee engagement and trust.

While every workplace has challenges, I can no longer recommend Corro as an employer based on my experience.

I used to love my job, but since the merger and becoming of CorroHealth it's not been the same. Communication is lacking from upper management. There seems to be constant changes and low morale. It seems like people are either leaving or getting laid off left and right. We were basically told we were nothing more than "business decisions". Today you have a job, but at the current rate tomorrow your job will be outsourced. We have some unique benefits like a paid day off to do volunteer work and time off to vote. However, the overall benefit package is extremely underwhelming for non-managment employees. You get 2 weeks to start and no added sick days or anything. You have an appointment and can't make up the hours that day you have to use minimum 4 hours pto. Doesn't leave much left for an actual vacation. Insurance and retirement benefits are probably middle of the road in terms of quality. I'm hoping things improve because before we became CorroHealth this was an amazing job. Disappointed with how it all turned out.

They are really great at hiring people without experience and training them in all different areas. I was cross-trained on many projects and it allowed me to use different skills on each project. It's a great place to start your career.  There hasn't been much ability for advancement, at least for me. In a big company that is remote, you tend to get lost the shuffle.
Management is pretty good, good communication. Production is, as with other places, a big focus but it really depends on the client. 
They are really flexible with your hours and the time you work. My biggest issue is, I was hired at a low hourly rate and I figured it would go up with experience, but I've been there several years and haven't had a raise, nor have I even had a conversation with my supervisor(s) about my performance.

The most enjoyable part of my job is the positive feedback we get from our supervisors and the clients when they are very happy with our work.  The supervisors don't micromanage. You are pretty much left alone to code oh, other than keeping up your productivity and QA scores.

STAY AWAY! I know it’s a tempting way for a new coder to gain experience, but it’s not worth it! 
I was hired on as an entry-level coder and everything was going well the first few weeks of the ‘corporate’ training. I was then assigned to a project, but I felt inadequately trained from a client perspective, and they knew full well that this was my first coding job. 
I then learned that I was only paid for the hours I was actually coding. I wasn’t even paid to check and reply to emails and different work related issues. For example, I once had IT issues that turned out to be a problem on the clients end. I spent several hours on the phone with them and finally resolve the issue, but I was not paid for that time. 
I then learned that as clients fell off, coders were furloughed until assigned to another project. Of course, without pay. This happened to me 3 different times. After a two month furlough this last time, they said they didn’t have a client for me and just cut me loose. Not that I wasn’t already looking for a new job…
To add insult to injury, they would only paid me one week of PTO, when I had two weeks accrued. 

After the transition and merger of a smaller company to corporate, this place made a turn for the worst. Very low pay, poor training, lacking management, the list goes on. It's a decent place to get started as an inexperienced coder or biller, but you will get burnt out fast depending on who your managers and projects are, while being paid below industry standard. No matter how hard you work you will never get a promotion or raise unless you're a favorite of certain directors. Overseas work is being prioritized. No communication from anyone except when being told you're out of work or what the client is upset about. Good employees are taken advantage of and exploited for their dedication with no reward. Coders are treated with little respect and the projects tend to be tedious to the point where morale feels nonexistent.

I worked from home on a software development team. I felt very isolated inside my team, and my manager was hardly a manager beyond telling me what to do. I had weekly meetings set up to try to feel more connected and stay on the same page with my boss. I was given only positive feedback but was still laid off. They mentioned a lack of communication, which is comical because the manager didn't communicate. 

As a software developer working from home, most people understand that constantly coding for 8 hours a day is not possible. Doing 6 hours of deep work is a really good day, but they expected me to be online constantly. I could have maybe managed, but they micromanaged what I worked on, so occasionally, changing tasks wasn't an option. 

The underlying code of their system is an absolute mess. It's some of the worst code I've ever seen, and they have a constant backlog of tickets to show for it. 

Healthcare was not very good either. 

Corrohealth has very unrealistic expectations for production. They micromanage horribly and come up with stories about you stealing their time when you don't make the unrealistic production standards. I wouldn't recommend anyone work here. The Auditors have no clue what they are doing and will tell you that they dont know they are just trying to keep their jobs as well. They want you to do the work of several people in a short amount of time . The benefits are expensive and dont cover anything.They will gaslight you into thinking you are not working fast enough when in all reality it's impossible for someone to and i have been told by other workers and have myself wored off the clock just to almost meet the minimum production. Pay is very low compared to others.There is high turnover rate for a reason. Do yourself a favor and don't even apply

I recently went through an intensive interview process with CorroHealth, which included four interviews on different days and a detailed assessment. Each session lasted about an hour and involved in-depth questioning about the policies and procedures from my previous employer. It felt less like an evaluation of my skills and more like research into my former company.

The process was mentally exhausting and left me with the impression that the company does not prioritize candidates’ time or work-life balance. While I wasn’t offered the position, I’m genuinely relieved. I value organizations that are respectful, balanced, and focused on mutual fit—not just extracting information.

If you’re considering an opportunity with CorroHealth, I recommend doing thorough research and evaluating whether their culture and process align with your career values.
