Cons:
1. Poor Leadership: Leadership here is severely lacking. They promote a culture of fear rather than support, which leads to a stressful and demoralizing work environment.

2. Constant Priority Changes: Due to the aforementioned ineffective leadership, priorities shift frequently and unpredictably. This lack of direction makes it difficult to stay focused and achieve meaningful progress.

Sure, the perks were sweet - free subscriptions, access to exclusive events, and a seemingly endless supply of Pocky. But the workload? Brutal. Long hours, tight deadlines, and an expectation of constant availability blurred the line between work and life. The pressure to keep up with the ever-growing anime library felt like chasing a runaway bullet train.

Communication was a labyrinth. Decisions trickled down from faceless suits, leaving lower rungs feeling lost and unheard. Feedback, when offered, was often vague or contradictory, adding to the frustration.

Despite the chaos, there were pockets of joy. The camaraderie amongst fellow anime enthusiasts was genuine, fueled by shared passion and late-night ramen runs. The chance to work on something I loved, even in the trenches, was initially a thrill.

But the cracks eventually showed. Burnout became a common battle cry, and whispers of high turnover rates echoed through the office. The anime dream started to feel more like a sweatshop scheme.

Crunchyroll has the potential to be an amazing place to work. But it needs to invest in its people, not just its content library. Clearer communication, better work-life balance, and a genuine appreciation for its employees are the ingredients Crunchyroll needs to cook up a truly satisfying work experience. Otherwise, it risks losing its most valuable asset: its passionate workforce.

I love how connected I feel to the anime fans, helping to deliver the shows and movies that people can't get enough of.

There's so much new content and events happening in the world of anime, that it feels like things are always changing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
All the people I have met and worked with are so supportive and helpful. It's obvious that people feel lucky to be here, and are so welcoming to new new employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I start with what's planned, and never know where the day will take me. The good news is that it's never boring.

Office decor is exceptional depending on the office to which one is assigned.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Demands of very senior level people who have no empathy for the individual contributors.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Far different from what is espoused.  For example hiring senior people from the outside is the actual mode of advancement.  Insiders may never even hear of advancement opportunities until a new position is already filled by an outsider.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Interesting work with good people is the usual case.  The facilities are very good.

It is an extensive interview process, but the job is phenomenal. It is a fun environment with managers who truly care about the team. I am really glad I got the chance to work for this amazing company. This review is not fake I swear!!

Crunchyroll is a great, fun environment to work. The management and morale has gone downhill a bit, but the company takes care of you. They cater lunch Monday thru Thursday and the benefits are top notch. It can get a little stressful sometimes due to heavy work load and how corporate the place has become. But overall, it's a great place to work. 

Demanding company with very low pay considering the market, leadership that doesn’t care or even understand employees, high turnover , moving toward a model where all upper management are Indian yet we loose over $4 million in India each year and retain no subs. Lack of diversity, lack of anime fans actually working in the roles 

This job is not for somebody who has a life after work.
You will be drained after the day is over.
People in college should not apply due to the fact that they do not work with your schedule.

This was the most fun job and my coworkers were amazing. The management didn't give clear instruction and seemed to not really know what they were doing. I would work here again but I wish the people in charge were professional. 

Great people and the work is super interesting. Anime is a growing medium and its great to see the direction they’re taking the company. 

Teams are super supportive. Space is limited in office. They are moving but seems like the office space will be limited too.
