If you don't mind giving up holidays, family time, sleep, for an incredible mission. All the while, never knowing when you show up for work if you have a job, benefits, hours to work, and have to defend your every decision. Be prepared to share everything you do wrong in mandatory meetings (whether you're on the schedule to work that day or not) and listen to constant threats of termination. Flexible per deim schedule but if you only work the minimum hours required you'll be scrutinized. As you develop and increase skill level, you are expected to work longer and harder-relentless back to back cases. You'll be exhausted after back to back cases yet be requested to go on another and scrutinized if you request rest. Or scrutinized if you go but make mistakes. You'll be in an OR, scrubbed in, for up to 8 hours, no breaks because your are constantly hounded about time. But then you'll get in trouble for not taking a break. It used to be an awesome, meaningful place to work. The dept was a family and produced great grafts-prasied by the processors. There was a change in upper management at the same  time the company bulit and went way over budget on a new facility. That was when everything started going downhill. Hard to say if the cuts came from corporate or upper management but they lost their focus. It's no longer about the passion of enriching lives and supporting the team that provides the lifechanging products. It's about saving a buck and steppiing on whomever to do it. It's become a negative and toxic work environment. Other departments in the company are stable, happy, and the employees enjoy their job and role in the mission to enhance and save lives.

 Very unhealthy work environment with an "absent" management. The cliques interfere in productivity. They will mention that the job is unique and takes a unique skill set to be successful. The job itself is not difficult but the people you work with/train you are. They will make many mistakes, lie and be inconsistent with informational and try to spin it as if it's your inability to grasp the role. When in actuality, they are all egotistical and can not admit their own mistakes. When you point out discrepancies with information they make it your fault or paint it as if you lack competency.

The people as a whole make you feel very uncomfortable and there is no structure to the training process yet they act as if they are well equipping orienting staff. The senior staff are oddly favored and they can say what they please and it's blindly trusted by leadership.
Certain groups will be ostracized. 

There is profound lack of accountability at this organization and you will be bullied.You feel unsafe, undervalued and anxious everyday you work here. This is not a team environment. Consider yourself warned. The turnover rate is extremely high for a reason.

I worked night shift so a 10 hour shift consisted of keeping all the areas sterile and clean. That part was very easy but very physically taxing. If the shift lead on that particular shift does not like you even if you're just working and minding your own business, she WILL single you out. You'll be made to do things outside of the job description. While everyone else is done and gets to leave for hours at a time, she'll make you work for the entire 10 hours and micromanages you. You will get talked about badly all within earshot too. That was the hardest part of that job. Just avoid it.

The mission is critical to saving lives.   Most people want to work here because they understand the importance of organ/tissue donation.  The upper Leadership Directors and above are only concerned about making money.  They’ve lost sight of the mission and don’t care about their good employees.  Dysfunctional HR and no employee retention plan in place.   This company is like a revolving door.  It’s nearly impossible to keep up with employee turnover.  

Very unhealthy work environment. Management and Human Resource are working together. If you have a problem and bring it to management they sweep it under the rug. Don’t even bother to bring your concerns to the HR manager. Management will keep rewarding bad behavior to the ones who don’t work and pick on the hard working employees. Management allows hostile work environment and do nothing about it. The mission of the company is about saving lives but could care less of their employees life. 

After working there for 5+ years, the culture changed once management changed. The upsetting thing is they went from caring about and getting to know their staff to greed and push of products. Once this happened, people begin to leave, not care about their job, and morale dropped drastically. Going to the HR department was not the place to go as it would eventually work against you, not with you. I would not recommend this place as a place to work. As it also became of constant fear of losing your job on a daily basis.

No regard for employees personally, must attend meetings on days off, schedules change abruptly, management shows much favoritism, rules change whenever they feel like it. Office is not set up for a call center, very small spaces, very noisy, no climate control, limited parking. Little to no IT support. Management is rarely available for concerns or issues and then their philosophy is "tell them what the want to hear and they'll shut up and forget it." Pay is good with practically unlimited overtime if you are willing to commit

The payscale is excellent, the general employee moral is very very low. Some stay because they need the money (and the pay is tough to beat anywhere), but the management is poor, ethics are sub-par, and the competition to be number one is scary. I made about 20 great friends there (all of whom have also left in the 2 years I was there), but the employee turnover and and lack of appreciation is less than desiring.

This company has a toxic work environment.  Managers and supervisors will typically ignore e-mails with legitimate questions.  They will absolutely lie to your face on a regular basis.  Tell you everything is wonderful and you're doing great and then terminate your employment after they get what they want out of you.  Department Managers are rarely seen and use department supervisors to do their dirty work.  Nepotism runs rampant.  If you can suck up to management you're sure to have a job.  If not, watch your back.

The overall goal of the agency is positive, however be prepared for management to focus on the bottom line, getting as many organs as possible, to make them look favorable, even at the expensive of the families you are trying to support. Donation is supposed to be optional, however with ever family interaction you will be coached to sell them on organ donation.
