It is evident that fostering a positive and inclusive environment is a top priority for this organization. The company's commitment to open communication, team collaboration, and mutual respect creates a sense of belonging and unity among employees. I have found that colleagues are always eager to lend a helping hand and share their knowledge and expertise, creating a supportive community that motivates everyone to achieve their best. In terms of management practices, DM Clinical Research goes above and beyond to promote employee growth and development. The management team consistently recognizes and acknowledges achievements, providing much-needed encouragement and appreciation for the hard work put in by each individual. Working for this company was extremely disappointing. They have seen a large amount of growth, as the COVID vaccine trials are proving to be highly demanding. The response to this growth is subpar at best. Training is essentially nonexistent, people are overworked and burning out, and you are subject to termination at any moment for no reason or reasons that are not relevant to your effort level/hard work/what you have to offer. Many people with great potential are not allowed to grow or learn, and are forced to the sidelines; and the overall priority is certainly not the patients. The work culture is toxic, and it is evident that no one is willing to speak up for those who voice their concerns. Support is shown for employees who contribute to this toxicity, those who mistreat people and are disrespectful, and those who simply are not fulfilling their job duties (which then fall on other employees). There is an inherent dislike for people who are maybe not willing to go along with this negativity or who outwardly oppose it. Additionally, I did not appreciate hearing how they prioritize and value peoples strengths and weaknesses in building their team - they do not, and there is no transparency or communication. I met several wonderful people and that made things more bearable. However, the 1 star rating across the board is an honest reflection and indication that things must change in order to keep hardworking people. I encourage you to think about these things and other negative reviews as you embark on your job search. Yes, it's important to demonstrate that you'd be an asset to a prospective employer, but it is equally important that they are, in turn, an asset to YOU and YOUR life and align with your values. 

I loved my job. I loved my staff. Earlier this year we did layoffs, and my heart broke for them, and I wrote recommendations for almost everyone that was let go, because they did not do anything wrong. No one was let go for cause. During that process, I was told that the reason for the layoffs was money/budget cuts, and that I needed to review everyone on my teams salary to determine who would make the biggest impact by being let go. Well, I guess what goes around comes around because while I was working this morning, I  received a last-minute calendar invite with the HR department. It was a group layoff, meaning nobody had any privacy or any opportunity to ask any questions and all we were told was that we will receive an email in our personal inbox with details. So long story short, they punish the people who are savvy and expertly negotiated their salary, and people who started at the bottom and worked their way up through hard work and being awarded promotions. They repeatedly stated that it was not performance based and I believe that. It is 100% about money with the executive management. I would like to mention also that several of the staff that were let go today, were working in the United States via work visas and have a limited amount of time to find another job otherwise they will be deported. They were not provided any advanced notice for this. 

During the height of COVID-19, this company experienced rapid growth and invested heavily in expansion. However, after the pandemic slowed, the company initiated large-scale layoffs, which created uncertainty and fear among employees about job security.

There is a noticeable issue with favoritism in management. Certain employees seem to receive promotions and raises more easily, while others, like myself, face significant challenges and unclear reasoning for delays or denials.

The employee benefits are subpar, and morale is notably low across the organization. Communication between corporate and site-level teams is inconsistent and often leaves employees feeling left out of key decisions. For example, in previous years, the company hosted holiday parties and provided bonuses, which many employees relied on. However, following the layoffs, there was no communication about these traditions or any acknowledgment of employees during the holiday season.

While new, high-paying management roles seem to be created frequently, other areas of the organization remain understaffed or underfunded. This lack of organization and prioritization makes it difficult to recommend this company to prospective employees.

I was genuinely excited to be a part of the effort against COVID-19 and the other studies the company was handling and as a IMG, I thought this would be a great help with my residency application. 
Our department did the preliminary review for our clinical volunteers onsite and over the phone. Everyone in our department is a medical (MD/DO/MBBS) graduate. The team that I joined was a great team and we worked really well together but there was poor interdepartmental communication.
There is no standardized corporate work process. Every department, every site, and every investigator has their own process which results in a lot of redundancy and finger-pointing. 
The work ethic of the employees is lukewarm at best. This company operates on nepotism which is sad because there were several people who would've been great managers or directors but they were passed over for someone with connections within the upper management.
Overall, this experience started well and ended badly. I dont think this company values its employees, especially their medical graduates.

This company is a terrible company to work for and shows favouritism and lies about it when it is brought up. Management is terrible at the Bellaire location, as well as the Tomball one. They put on a show when individuals from higher up come to visit said locations. Site management says there is room to grow but then chooses who they want to move up when the time comes. The turnover rate is awfully high, because of this very reason and more, as well as the horrible site management directors.
The CEO is very well aware of the issues at Bellaire clinic as well as the other clinics but turns a blind eye to it as long as he is making money. The only time the CEO has ever said anything is when the retention rate from the patients dropped. This research company is clearly all about money so the individual(s) get over on you when they can!  
I cannot stress enough how bad management specifically at the Bellaire location is and makes your days at this company horrible.

Despite the dedication of many hardworking staff members, job security appears to be an ongoing issue, with some employees reporting that layoffs occur within six months of hiring—potentially avoiding severance or unemployment benefits. Concerns have also been raised about favoritism in hiring and promotions, with qualified employees being replaced by less experienced individuals with personal ties to leadership. Morale has suffered as a result, and leadership, particularly within HR, has gained a reputation for prioritizing terminations over employee well-being. Prospective employees should approach opportunities here with caution, as the company’s long-term stability remains uncertain.

Enjoyed working with the research teams.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The HR department covering up serious clinical Research violations and not terminating individuals who violated GCP practices and FDA regulations. This included upper management at sites. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Morale was low, because experienced CRCs were stuck working with others without any clinical trials experience and having to constantly clean up their mistakes. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Early in my career at DM I enjoyed coming to work everyday. When DM started focusing on country wide expansion the people in Houston were forgotten. We were the one's making the expansion possible and not so much a thank you.

The company's commitment to improvement and innovation is also evident, with everyone collaborating to drive progress. With extensive coverage across multiple sites nationwide, the company provides ample opportunities for growth and collaboration, further enhancing the collective impact in the field.

Turnover rate is strong. I came onto the site to find out employees were laid off and others had quit. Without any actual training, I was expected to carry on the study, doing the work of a coordinator but paid as a RA. Its been a year now and was promised advancement as I continue to complete tasks above my job description. Strong workers are not acknowledged and rewarded as slackers take advantage of the system are paid more and never reprimanded for their shortcomings and lack of contributions. There is bit of toxicity that revealed why many employees have left in the past. Management is located in another state and is overworked which allows other employees to take advantage of the situation.
