Most of the staff is amazing and the clients are wonderful, however the company's downfall is the management side of things. 
There were always petty, passive aggressive emails sent to all of the staff that should've only been directed at one or two people. Policy was constantly bent or broken if it benefited management or one of managment's favorites.
Staff feedback and suggestions are rarely, if ever, taken into account. Overall, I would not recommend working there, even if you were offered a reasonable wage.
Employees are pretty much only seen as numbers and you can be let go with not even a week's notice for the sake of cost cutting. Company has no clear attendance policy so if you aren't one of the favorites, watch how much time you take off. Also when you are let go, they do NOT pay out any PTO or vacation time which is against Ohio law. They can get away with it because by the time you go to court to fight it, it is no longer beneficial to you. 
There is no paid training, even the required the CPR and first aid training is taken out of your paycheck. 

We work from 8 -4 if you are clinical and administrative.  If you work in housing, you work shift work as 24 hr. Staffing is required.  It has been pointed out that upper management/owners are young but they are very well informed and are doing a fantastic job.  Those who left negative reviews are unhappy ex-employees.  We do have many free educational opportunities provided.  The company is small and new, so advancement is difficult.  The hardest part of the job is watching clients leave without following through with life saving treatment.  The workplace culture is positive and encouraging.  The most enjoyable part of the job is being recognized as a valuable member of the team.

Great place to work! Their mission is what they do, day in and day out. Client focused, not reimbursement focused, which unfortunately is what you will find in A LOT of SUD/Mental Health treatment centers. Day One changes lives, and supports the multifaceted recovery of their clients. Any service oriented facility will have trade-offs, as this is a growing organization gaining its foothold as the SUD/MH treatment center of choice for Marion and surrounding counties. 

While most of the staff is rather friendly, it is clear that some in higher positions do not have the professionalism or experience to maintain their positions. There is so much inconsistency with rules, groups, policies and communication throughout the company and nobody ever takes fault. Passive aggressive emails are sent daily to all staff when they should only be directed to certain employees. One positive is the clinical growth encouraged and the flexibility to build your own group curriculums, however groups need to be monitored more often to make sure they are appropriate and clinically beneficial to clients. 

This is the first job, that I ever had, that I love going to work! I enjoy the laid back atmosphere of working here. I love interacting with the clients, and being able to encourage them with their recovery.  They also offer the Peer Recovery support certification classes. The only negative that I can see, is that management tends to change the employee schedule without telling other employees about it. 

Day One helps you change the lives of others who need guidance in the most important time of their life. Being able to impact someone and seeing smiles on their faces when you come to work, is priceless. Helping people with addiction overcome obstacles and battles everyday is the most rewarding feeling EVER! Everyone deserves another shot at life, even you!

Its not bad, the pay isn't amazing but its well enough for what you do. The only bad thing is there are no benifits other than a week of PTO after 90 days. Its a new company though so hopefully that will come with time. The people who work here care, and really do want to help the community. I really believe in the company and hope it gets better pay and benifits, maybe after more government funding. 

After several years of working for this company, they will let you go with as much as a half hour notice. They do not pay out PTO and would not let you use your vacation time. You are mostly unsupervised with just two meetings a week to discuss clients, but that almost never actually happens. The only decent thing is the co-workers. Pay sucks. It's not about the clients at all, it's about putting money in your boss's pocket. 

This company has a policy of not paying out vacation and PTO on termination which goes against state law.

Employees are seen as an expendable resource. They will fire employees in the name of cost cutting with only a few days notice. 

Overall, this company is undergoing growing pains and may improve in the future but currently it’s not doing well.

This company manager does not care about family and let me go over a family emergency and there is no training provided and no advancement options. This company manager does not allow days off for doctors appointments or family emergencies. Inappropriate behavior also to employees from management.
