Responsibilities included keeping the hospital in excellent condition in compliance with all sanitation laws and procedures. Guest services/Customer service. Running errands. Understanding and upholding all health code requirements. Manage proper receiving, rotation and storage of products some hazardous. Gathering, washing, ironing, folding, inspecting, and mending all of the linens used by their facility. Responsible for maintaining the appearance and sanitation of all areas in a hospital, including wards, diagnostic testing rooms, waiting areas, staff areas, examination rooms, and operating rooms. Responsible for attending to the floors, windows, walls, and examination surfaces in any and all of these areas. Disinfect the rooms with specialized cleaning agents meant to kill germs and prevent the spread of disease and illness. Disposing of trash, recyclables and medical waste according to hospital policies and procedures. Responsible for scheduling routine maintenance of repairs of heating, cooling, water, and sewage systems. Assisting professionals while present in hospital.

They lie when they hire you. Always pay attention if they are fully staffed with administration that does nothing and no staff to actually do the work you don't want to work there.  They will suck you dry not care one second about your life and then throw you away when they're done using you.  Picking up dog feces on the side of the road would be better than working here and you would have more respect.  After over 20 years in the medical field this is the worst place I've ever worked in this is the worst patient care I've ever seen coming from administration.  They don't respect their employees for one second.  They want you to do seven jobs for the pay of less of one.  When you express how overworked you are and that you need help they fire you.  And I'm sure get a bonus as an administration.  Greeting administration makes the worst place to work do not work here

Never has a place affected me so much. I've changed and grown so much since I started working at this establishment. I've learned so much from some of the most amazing physicians I've ever known. I've had the privilege to learn about different cardiac arrhythmias, the different types of pacemakers and defibrillators and how they can help improve someone's way of life. 
My co-workers are awesome. When I first started this job I was fresh out of school and trying to adapt to the way things are done in the hospital and everyone was so helpful and always had very encouraging things to say to each other. We all work well as a team and I can gladly call my co-workers my friends. 
The best and most rewarding part of my job is seeing the patients get their lives back, being able to do the things they have not been able to do in years because of their cardiac issues. It's one of the best feelings in the world.

Every day was a new experience.  When one deals with the
public in need of assistance due to ill health there are
different challenges to overcome.  This is a phenomenal facility
that now treats several different areas of patient health.  When I
was employed with them, mostly heart problems were the main issue.

Experiences also change constantly when one attempts to raise
capital for hospital to be enabled to perform all necessary
actions to see, possibly admit patients and do all necessary
surgeries needed.

The most difficult part of my position was when a patient was
denied admission to the hospital.  There were times when I was
heartbroken, but, I had to accept their decision.

My co-workers were my secretary, and volunteers who provided
their services upon request.

I loved every moment of this position.

A typical day of work consists of working my charge lists, organizing my wound care, learn something new everyday pertaining to medical conditions, diverse work atmosphere,  The hardest part of the job is making certain that the supporting documentation to bill the claim is documented accordingly,
Management is a mixed variety, There are excellent Managers who will jump in and help out when deadlines must be met, and there is Management too comfortable in their position and feel entitled to designate more work to people without stepping in to help out and is always walking around the hospital, never at her desk, my job is very enjoyable because I work with great team members who are always willing to help each other


I worked at Deborah full time for many years. THE BAD. It is an incredibly stressful place to work and the nurses in some of the procedure areas are some of the nastiness people I have ever worked with. There is a serious bullying problem here and is rampant all over the hospital. We are short staffed everywhere. The pay is extremely low compared to other hospitals in the area, although the per diem pay is on parr with other hospitals. The health insurance isnt great. THE GOOD. The nurses I work with on my unit are Like my second family and both my managers are the best managers I have ever had. After I went per diem things got much better because I'm there less, I get great hours now, and I'm given less stressful assignments. There is a lot of room for growth here. The fellows, attending doctors, And NPs are the nicest I've ever worked with. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I’ve worked there as a travel ICU nurse in 2022 and 2024 I really enjoyed the team I worked with.   

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
During the summer the census drops and shifts get canceled without pay. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I really enjoyed the people I worked with.  It was a wonderful experience. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The MICU and SICU are very specialized. This is a dedicated heart failure hospital with a robust destination LVAD program.  I worked nights exclusively on one contract and on the other I moved to days to help out their staffing, but went back to nights per my contract.  Overall it was a very good experience.

a typical day at Deborah consisted of a fast paced environment,always admitting and discharging.I learned to become a very proficient multi-taksing person.My co-workers were and i am sure still are the best i have ever had the pleasure to work with.Always there to help solve the problem,no matter how big or small.The hardest part of the job was being under staffed,being as though our floor(4lesser) was the most busiest.It was always a hassle to get someone to float to offer us some assistance.The most enjoyable part of being employed at Deborah was the level of compassion the supervisors would show.They always let us know exactly how much they appreciated their staff member

I found in my time there that management doesn't care about the employees, only the bottom line. Your job is safe there only if you are in the good graces of your supervisors. The place is a gossip mill and there is nothing done to change that environment. I have never worked at a place that had such a disconnect between administration and the employees. Management covers up for those who make mistakes so they don't have to deal with it. The HR department is horrible; they only seem to watch out for themselves and not care about the employees. There are departments with constant turnover because of the lousy managers yet nothing is done about it. All I can say if you accept a position there is Beware!

I have worked at Deborah Heart And Lung Center for approximately 20 years.  The main goal is to ensure the wellbeing of our patients starting from admission until discharge.  Upon discharge if needed, we provide our patients with VNA home care services, medical equipment, oxygen, etc. 
We are like a family from different walks of life.  We come together as a team to assist our patients medically, physically, and emotionally.  The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing patients smile and obtaining the help they need to live as independent as possible.  I am always willing to help my co-workers and other departments.  The hardest part of my job is not being able to leave on time.
