What is the best part of working at the company?
The most delightful thing about working at Depop is how well-organized everything is. Since I'm a student, time management is crucial to my needs. I enjoy fulfilling customer service requests and shipping out items.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The overwhelming amount of orders to finish for independence or having to refund a sale because the goods is missing are the most stressful aspects of working at Depop.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
competitive, fast paced, and built around buying and shipping product. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day at the company looks more isolated since it is and can be remote

I would typically sell about 5 items a week. I learned to communicate with buyers clearly and be considerate of other people's time and money. Keeping prices reasonable can be challenging trying to make it a full time job, which I struggled with. I enjoyed having my own time and being able to work from home. However, I like to constantly have things to do, so not selling as consistently as I would've liked, caused me to search for more work.

Selling on Depop has opened me up to so many amazing opportunities. I sold enough in my first 3 months to be featured on the homepage and got invited to the Depop Accelerate program. At the end of the program, I met with a member of the selling team who provided me with great tips and an overview of my stats. 
My biggest piece of advice is to post at least one item a day to get boosted in the algorithm. The more effort you put in, the more engagement and profit you receive.

If you have a lot to sell and know how to properly frame items to make them look desirable and do such consistently you’ll surely find success. Otherwise, it can be a frustrating trial and error process that you go through, regardless it feels fulfilling to deliver people what they want. I also suggest learning where and how to get your own shipping labels, the fees will quickly add up. 

I'd describe depop as basically online thrift shopping but it also gives people an opportunity to host their small businesses. I would mostly resell items but I also had a couple of hand made items that people would buy. It was great because I determine my prices and hours and its overall and easy side hussle.

I love doing Depop! I've been doing it for a little over 2 years and have made pretty good money considering I don't have to go into a workplace. My one complaint is the fees. 10% is fine and better than other platforms, but now there is a transaction fee and shipping rates have risen. On average I'd say I make about $4 less per item with these fees than before and that really adds up. 

Although you can make fast and easy money off of online selling, customers can easily find ways to scam the seller and the overall corporate doesn't do anything about it. I've lost over a hundred dollars from a customer claiming that what i sent them was wrong and there was no way to prove it.

Typically I sell secondhand items and I can sell them at any time, I am my own personal boss and I control my business. I have learned to be more communicative with customers and being understanding to their wants and needs. The most difficult part is the communication. I enjoy it because it’s something I can do in my free time.

Working on Depop has been a rewarding experience. The platform is user-friendly and encourages creativity, entrepreneurship, and direct connection with buyers. I've developed skills in marketing, customer service, and inventory management while building my own brand and learning how to navigate the online fashion resale space.

Depop fosters an excellent community of creative individuals who are eager to share and express fashion with others. The 10% fee allows sellers to be free with their pricing. However, Depop lacks quick and convenient customer service. Along with frequent, almost daily, technological bugs.
