You are trained very thoroughly, and are given all the tools you need to succeed.They are extremely efficient with different departments to better help our clients and also for the benefit of the team member's, so they are well trained in their position. Its fast pace and your main focus is to help others. 

This is a very successful law firm. This is due to the leaders of the firm and the loyal team members. They have won Best Places to Work in Wichita KS several times. This says a lot about them. I have never worked for a group of people like the ones at DeVaughn James. They are friendly, understanding, transparent, and very generous. The culture they have formed at the law firm is priceless.

You work hard and play hard at DeVaughn James. You receive health/dental coverage, 401(k), paid time off, bonuses and if the team meets the revenue goal the company pays for you and your plus one to go on an all inclusive trip. They have done this 8 years in a ROW! 

Management as well as all the departments have very specific processes in place to make sure everyone is completing their work, this is called holding people accountable. Its a company and you are suppose to work. 

The hardest part about my job is not being able to help a potential new client and turning them away from our services. The parts I enjoy most are working with a team that supports me, and the daily reward of knowing i was able to help others.

It is true there are many companies like DJ. It is also true that there are NO other companies like DJ. Many do the type of law DJ does, but no one does it like DJ. You always have someone you can go to for help or support. This job is tough and there is no doubt about that. If you want to coast along and glide under the radar, you shouldn't be at DJ. You will be highly rewarded, but that comes with effort, attention to detail, and strong work ethic. I have seen people make more money here than they could anywhere else because they work hard, they're honest, kind, and compassionate. I have seen people come and go because they are entitled and expect to be put on a pedestal and that type of toxic personality does NOT stay at DJ long if it makes it in. Work and life balance is tough, but that is expected when you are making great money and helping people who truly NEED help. I wouldn't work at any other law firm. 

DeVaughn James has allowed me to have a very healthy work/life  balance. Their benefits are great and there are amazing opportunities provided regularly t grow and to shine. There are many incentive bonus opportunities given, and they certainly know how to reward hard work. The team is all friendly, supportive, and work together towards shared goals. There is a very strong team mindset, and we work together to maintain our core values. At the heart of all of our work is helping our clients, and I do truly believe I've been able to make a difference in people's lives here. Leadership is all very involved, and they truly care about the wellbeing and growth of the team. These are some of the most kind, caring, funny, and easy-to-work-with people I've met. I'd give the DeVaughn James Experience a 10/10. 

DeVaughn James is a great place to work! The management really invests in your training and your future, even if that means DJ is only your stepping stone to your next career. Everyone is treated as an equal and your hard work truly is appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Working independently and as a team helps maintain the wonderful work culture at DJ! 

DJ has frequent events to get staff involved and get to know one another on more of a personal level. From catered birthday lunches, to chili cook-offs, to frequent treats - you sure won't go hungry! 

The firm also takes staff and a guest on a tropical vacation if the firm meets their goals for the year. While there are certainly stressful days, the good days far outweigh the bad days while you're working with such a wonderful team.

Amazing benefits and fun work environment for the most part. Work load can be very overwhelming at times and they micromanage to the extreme. They always have fun activities planned which eases the stress of work. The staff was by far the best I've ever worked with. Team members were encouraging, eager to help in any way possible. They encourage a positive work environment however, that does not go for management. If you are not talking badly about others with her or sucking up, you will not be on her good side and you will be constantly walking on egg shells with your job as she will look for any little thing to try and get you fired. The entire office is terrified of her because unfortunately your job is in her hands. There is a high turnover rate and she plays a big part in that.

At DeVaughn James, we work hard and play hard. The work community is unlike any other company I've ever worked for. The job is stressful at times (as most legal jobs are), but when we are stressed, we are stressed together--we work in collaborative ways, build each other up, and grow as a team. When Monday comes around, I don't dread coming to work...I look forward to digging my feet in and working, catching up with coworkers about their weekend, and getting our clients the compensation they deserve. The work/life balance is great. The management and partners are transparent, reasonable, and open to feedback and ways to improve. You will laugh (a lot) and learn a great deal here if you decide it's the right fit for you. I don't think you could find a better firm to work for!

Seriously. Most days, I’m in awe that I get to work someplace so supportive and healthy. Everyone is happy to answer questions or point you in the right direction. The training period is ~4 months which is perfect for people coming in with no experience like me. The interview process was a little intimidating but the communication throughout was impeccable (and the interview process might seem tedious to some, but I actually appreciated their thoroughness). Best part of all: no work drama at all. The supportive and collaborative environment you see during your shadowing interview is actually real. AND if the firm meets their yearly goal, you and a plus one get to go on an all-expenses-paid tropical vacation! 2025 is Maya Riviera! How freaking cool is that?!

It is a fast paced, but is great, there is no time to get bored, and I love that! We always have fun! We get free lunches, we  celebrate success we!
DJ has been amazing, I have learn so much from this job, things that will help me in my day to day work, and also in my personal life! Our Management is great we have a great support system..
This place is like no other, our culture here is amazing. No job is perfect but this by far has been the best for me .   This is not an easy job, no matter what dept at DJ you work in,  it is fast paced, and we get things done! I always try to  remember that nothing  in life is easy and specially, nothing that is worth. I enjoy being able to help others, and i have meet great peeps here that are like fam:)

The days fly by! We stay busy, and have a lot of fun while we work hard to serve our clients. The leadership team listens and cares about everybody on the team and encourages feedback so they can get better. The most positive work environment and team I have been a part of - everybody is eager to help, and wants to help teammates learn and grow. The office participates in a lot of fun events during the workday, and also events together outside of the office including lawyer league softball in the summer, happy hour get togethers, pickleball, vacations to the beach if we hit our annual goal, and so much more!

A typical day of work is constantly busy focusing on providing the best service to clients. 
Opportunities to learn about insurance processes and the nature of personal injury cases. 
Management is honest, integral and upfront with all processes within the firm and also open to discussion and suggestions. 
Workplace culture is notably united and positive. 
Hardest part of the job is learning proficiency in time management and multitasking. 
Most enjoyable part of the job is making a difference in clients lives and the positive environment.
