Toxic atmosphere at times. No calls, no shows, double the work, half the help, pettiness, backbiting, brown nosing, zero confidentiality, limited professionalism from top to bottom. A handful of really sincere staff. That's who gets the star.


What is the best part of working at the company?
If you come back for a job, they aren't taking no rehire's as they say.. but need help bad on 2nd & 3rd shift. As I see it, if your company is needing help they way they are it wouldn't matter to me if you worked there before or not. Atlease you got people coming in who wants to work. This place hasn't changed senes the last time I worked there in 2004. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The managers, they dont have an upstanding the we have daily lives outside of work.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Horrorble & disturbing. They dont take care of the people who lives there the right way..

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not easy at all, very very stressful.

Employees are very abusive to residents managmnet is very unprofessional they have they picks and chooses over staff one of the managemnet staff sister works there and the sister is a recovering addict she acts like she runs the place she is beyond unprofessional they will hire anyone they dont do background checks they allow ex employees to come into a locked faculty and just rome the halls all the med Techs are unprofessional and ghetto and that's on every shift all the sic people are unprofessional they don't take care of the residents like they are supposed to they have a few good pca's but most of them on second and third shift need to be standing in the unemployment line

Management don't give a hoot about you and your family! They only care about the facility being staffed and you coming to work, don't care about your personal problems or family emergency! Also they barely pay enough for you to pay your bills. Every pay period your check isn't right, been having issues with payroll ever since I started working there!! I can go on and on for days, don't even know how this facility is still open!! They got to be giving kickbacks to the State to keep them up and running!! If I only had one word to describe this place it would be "RIDICULOUS"

I love my job as a CNA at Durham Ridge Assisted Living!!! When I first walked in the door I noticed the mirror shining floors the aroma of the freshness of a clean smell in the air through out the whole building. The management staff and the employees are a very professional group of loving employees that works hard with care, concern and respect for one another. Everyone  works as a team at Durham Ridge Assisted Living Facility to assist the residents, their families, and visitors on a  daily basics to assure that Durham Ridge Assisted Living Memory Care Unit is one of the finest and provides the best well service assisted living facility in North Carolina and that's 100!!

Working at Durham ridge I got the opportunity to learn new things and come up against different challenges everyday. It felt good helping and talking to the patients they made me laugh everyday. The bad working there I felt like some workers didn’t treat the patients fair at all and management did nothing to change that. I honestly wouldn’t recommend anyone sending their loved ones there and there were workers that didn’t get the recognition they deserved.

The management sucks. They don't respect or appreciate their staff. The supervisors on third shift are THE WORST, meanwhile first and second shift do whatever they please. Everything about that place just screams unprofessional and sloppy. The pay isn't worth the work as a PCA and nobody is certified, plus they don't even make you take a TB test, which is supposed to be mandatory to work in the health care field. The whole facility really needs to be SHUT DOWN.

Management is horrible you are not aloud to voice your concerns not have one everybody in management is family so it's always drama they talk about eachother then blame everyone else!They work you to the bone and doesn't appreciate the effort you put in and will treat you like garbage a daily work day is who's sleeping with who and not about the patients..Do not work here they will break your soul the administrator act like she does not know what's going on but knows everything keeps drama going just like the head nurse!!You've Been Warned

Too many people call out in the course of a month
Some times supervisors put their mistakes on others
Most meetings are at the end of the month that help for a while 
There are no hoyer-lifts and a well amount of heavy people
they need more wheel chairs
the facility has their good days most of the time that is the weekends
medicine and treatment carts are organized
food is always on time 
supervisors help when needed
every one gets 2 15minute breaks and 30minute lunch that is paid for 
free meal tickets when working doubles

I would not recommend for anyone to work there the pay rate to work there as a PCA is poor. The work environment is poor and very uncomfortable and not clean as for the management. The management at Durham Ridge is terrible and as far as the the patient at Durham Ridge, they are not being taken care of and provided for as the employees are terrible employees because as far as the training for the position is not properly done so no, I would not recommend anyone to work for this company
