The company that runs these buildings are cheap and useless they pocket the money they received in funding and spent none of it towards fixing up their facilities.  The pay is unreasonably low and the administration is unable to provide raises because it is Union run.  Currently I am the only morning cook at my location and while it's voluntary, I have been working 6 days a week for the last 2 months to try and help the company out and they do nothing help me when I come crying to their office telling them that I can't afford my bills working here even with the 90 hour paycheck. Meanwhile the Union sits back and does absolutely nothing to help the employees out. They will take your money and Union dues and then not even respond to your emails when you request the assistance. Currently in my location we have been without tap water for nearly 2 months. On top of that we are very understaffed and as I stated there are not many repairs being made to the facility. On top of all of that the benefits offered here provide absolutely no help. The health insurance will do everything it can to not pay for your procedures or medical needs.  On top of that if you have family you would like to add to the insurance the price more than triples.

Most likely if the company has a employee retention problem, more needs changed than what you can change. If countless people before you couldn’t change anything, what makes you think you can do it? 
We’ve all made the mistake of, “I’m the best at what I do”, but remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true! Accepting the new job because they promise things and offer higher pay at the end of the day, will not keep you happy when your dealing with the toxic culture that’s ran so many people before you away! They all left for a reason and so will you!

This workplace is relentlessly stressful and overwhelming, with a pace that grinds nurses down day after day. Boundaries are pushed past reason, from unsafe patient to nurse ratios to exhausting shift lengths that leave no room to recover. The constant chaos is so intense that it feels cruelly ironic. Nurses arrive to care for patients, only to slowly become patients themselves under the weight of the job. There is no real organization, only poor communication and constant damage control. Problems are ignored until another crisis forces attention, instead of being addressed before harm is done. Turnover is alarmingly high, creating ongoing instability and piling even more pressure onto those who remain. Compensation is painfully low considering the responsibility, risk, and deep physical and emotional toll placed on registered nurses. Despite sacrificing personal health to care for others, recognition is absent. Appreciation is rare. Support feels nonexistent. In the end, work stops feeling like a career and starts feeling like a personal sacrifice that demands everything while offering nothing back.

I worked for this company for 8 yrs. I was a nurse on the Vent/trach unit. 
The turn over for management is constant. The turnover for nurses is constant as well. There is no support,no loyalty, no compassion, nothing that made me happy regarding my employment. I left. The managers will lie, manipulate and falsify anything to save themselves.Im sure the owners have no idea what and how these managers perform. The managers currently are the worse that has ever been there. There is a lot of negativity, and blaming among staff and managers.. The good nurses are targeted, and the bad nurses, who stay on there I phones, take 1.5 hrs., for lunch, don't completed there med pass on time, nor help in any way when staff is short, are never held accountable.The manager will allow staff to come to work over one hour  late, and not hold them accountable. The managers talk negatively about you. The managers never come onto the floor to help.  The company was once good, now its a horrible place to work. I would look elsewhere if u r applying for this company. Your license will be in jeopardy. 
The facility is a one star, and there is good reason for this.

I was up all night crying, I had a fever and I work around people who are susceptible to getting sick. I called off work in fear of being positive for COVID-19 and was told I needed to come into work the next day, possibly exposing the people I work around, to a virus that could kill the residents in my workplace. I haven't received any compensation for being told to stay home for two weeks with no pay, and I am not able to support myself without a paycheck. 
I love my job, but the stress of dealing with heavy labor for $9/hr really weighs on your mind constantly. I have cried on my way home for not feeling like I've been properly trained in my position, and when I try to learn more, there is no accountability or organization to promote growth day-to-day to make the job more doable. Overall, it's an average job with few benefits next to a paycheck and being able to make other's smile.

You do get a lot of hands on experience whether you are actually prepared for it or not. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The workload is not just heavy, it is nonstop and crushing. You walk into every shift already knowing you will be forced to handle far more than anyone realistically should, and the pressure never eases up. It is not about one terrible day because this becomes the reality every single day. You try to stay on top of everything, but there is always more waiting, and somehow you are still expected to maintain the same level of care while being dragged in several directions at once. Honestly, none of it feels reasonable. The worst part is how quickly this starts feeling normal. This level of strain becomes accepted like it is just part of the job when it absolutely should not be.
 Eventually you stop thinking about doing things well and start focusing on surviving the shift without falling hopelessly behind.

When you are really busy with a resident and lights are going off and the other staff won’t answer the lights and then the resident gets mad at you because you took to long to answer their light but when you are with someone else they have to wait till there turn 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good clean most of the staff is friendly and helpful  but they really need an activity person that will do their job with residents and not sit in the office or walk around the building because when I was there that’s what they did maybe one day they played bingo but that was it because I worked weekends and they didn’t do anything with them

Very busy but that’s the way I like it though it makes the day go faster

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
MANAGEMENT! The DON is unprofessional an nothing is confidential. The DON lies on incident reports an has nurses rewrite a report to her liking so if state or familys question anything it looks good. If you're not in their snoody posse you might as well not even apply. Aides leave residents soaking wet entire 8-12hrs shifts. A majority of residents have bed sores. Aides leave call lights on for more than 30+ minutes. Showers aren't even given half the time they'll fill a shower sheet out an keep it moving.

Management makes the work environment Extremely hostile. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very very stressful. Normally have only two aides on the floor. You can't properly care for your residents because it's you to 25 or more residents.
