EON has many caring employees and provides important services to the people it supports. My experience with the company overall was positive.
Unfortunately, my experience with my house manager was very different. I often felt unsupported as a CSS, and I felt that concerns raised by staff and leadership were dismissed rather than addressed. I also felt that communication was frequently disrespectful, and I left interactions feeling unheard instead of supported. In my experience, the work environment suffered because staff did not feel comfortable bringing forward concerns.
I believe every employee deserves to be treated with professionalism, respect, and encouragement. I hope the company continues to invest in leaders who foster teamwork, value employee feedback, and create a workplace where everyone feels supported.

My typical day in never the same, which I enjoy. I respond the maintenance and facility requests to ensure the individuals that we serve, as well as, our employees have properties and facilities that are safe and in good condition.

I am amazed each day by the amazingly kind hearted co-workers I share my days with. I learn many aspects of how much care and hard work goes into caring for the individuals that we serve.

The workplace culture is kind, respectful and fulfilling.

The hardest part of my position is to best prioritize the tasks and to always remain flexible to instantly change priorities.

The most enjoyable part of my position is knowing that I am part of an amazing team that provides great care for individuals who need our services.

Unfortunately, due to such a high turnover rate in this type of work a lot of staff tend to work more hours than they can mentally handle, myself included.  This isn't a terrible company to work for, from what I have experienced but for all we do we get little pay for the amount of work. Unfortunately, for this company other companies pay high, and I have personally seen coworkers leave becuase of a pay increase elsewhere. 
A positive I've never been treated with as much respect as I have received working here by management. Managers I have had are mostly all willing to sit down and listen to concerns by employees or at least available by phone call or text. The flexibility and the clients are what keeps me at this company, or I hate to say I probably would find a different place to work.

Recent management is runing the place that their Gleseners Assisted Living and Adult Day were once known for. The quality of care once provided was phenomenal  , up until recently when they got new management. Clients wants and needs and quality of life is not the priority of the company. Their priority is what's best only for the company not their employees or clients. Very over worked and under paid. The clients are wonderful individuals to work with and share your time with. They say they are employee owned, but that only means you get part of the yearly profit you have no say in the everyday wants/needs of the individuals you serve. Previous nursing and management were amazing to staff and clients!!

Pros: some wonderful clients who generally want your help & are enjoyable to work with
You also work by yourself and if you like being unsupervised, this is a perk!
Cons: Scheduled constantly (barely ever got any time off), extremely poor work life balance, poor pay, you never get the hours you are promised, constantly changing schedules, poor training process (you basically just get thrown into the job & high behavior clients), supervisor gives worst behavior clients to the new staff as other staff have already “gone through” them (aka they hate working with them so new staff just gets the worst clients), extremely high turn over rate (longest people I knew working there had only worked there for a year tops).

I have been with EON for nearly 2 years and after working for other home health care companies, EON has proven to be the best yet! They offer benefits in more than just the health sense, support of our individuals and staff and families, incentives, opportunity for advancement and we all work as a team. Our individuals served feel like family, and each other and all staff. EON Inc is a good company to work for! 

I can tell that most of the people I work with really care about the work they’re doing. My supervisor takes all of my concerns seriously and helps get things resolved. As a DSP, my workload isn’t too much to handle. My coworkers are great at covering shifts when I need it. Overall, it’s a great job. 

EON is committed to quality of life for both individuals supported and staff alike. I love that the directors will step in and work the floor to give staff a break, as well as to stay in touch with clients. There's lots of positive feedback for a job well done, and numerous staff willing to go above and beyond expectations for each other and the individuals they support. Employee Ownership is a great bonus! 

The teamwork and supporting each other is what keeps me here! I have learned many aspects of the company and continue to grow daily. EON Inc likes to empower employees to take ownership of their self and work by promoting independence with the knowledge, resources, and tools available. I enjoy working with our clients and employees.  

Of course this field can be very demanding and rewarding at the same time! I have been in this field a long time and I can say that this has been one of the best companies I have worked for. 

EON, Inc is a company that truly strives to better the work environment for the individuals we serve. If you are looking for a hardworking role that will leave a lasting impression on you, this is it. What we do is underrated. It is not a job for the weak at heart and not a company you should feel you can "do as little as possible". If you believe in making a difference, this is the company for you - from part time Direct Support Professionals to Full Time Directors - its a life long career choice.
