If you want to obtain a Bachelors and find yourself an unstimulating job, this one is for you! The job itself felt like a certification was needed to interview clients basic questions , copy and paste, and loose brain cells from what you studied for 4 years. Expect at least 1,000 miles+/ monthly added to your vehicle and you won’t be “reimbursed” mileage until a month and a half later. Even if you spend 20 miles and google says it’s actually a 15 mile route, you won’t get reimbursed for everything. 

TERRIBLE training- I never gave clients, one of the most vulnerable populations, the best quality of service. If you want Medicaid Waiver, don’t have a new service coordinator because you won’t be authorized until 2 months later or keep calling! 

Great coworkers, always felt a sense of belonging. Made life long friends!

Super organization and people! 
AND it gives me the opportunity to serve folk who truly need our services.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Weather...lol. (I deliver Meals On Wheels)

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Excellent. 

We have a dedicated staff committed to providing our services in an efficient and respectful manner..

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Pick up prepared meals at 10:45 AM and deliver to 10-20 clients  a noon meal on a predetermined route.

Ordering meal counts for 25 Senior Centers in Omaha. Supply ordering.  Answering phones.  Typing letters.  Managed the Diners Choice program through Hy-Vee that allowed diners over 65 get a special price on meals.  Preparing bills for payment and keeping them filed and orderly for the current fiscal year.  Ran copies and fax machines. Collect timesheets for payroll.  Ran mail machine when needed.

The typical work day at ENOA is being productive and on time and ready to work. I have learned a lot from ENOA and that is to make sure that you are professional at all times and teamwork is a must no matter what field of work you are in. The management is amazing there and they help all of their employees as much as possible. Very diverse. The job is easy and the hardest part is trying to do your best even when its hard at times. This job is very enjoyable and I hope that the employees now and in the future remember that.

A typical day would be to go to a clients house, clean, cook, run errands and leave. Very laid back position and you learn a lot from the stories that the elderly clients tell you about "back in the day" as most of them would call it. No real supervisors and the paperwork was pretty difficult but other than that I enjoyed a lot of it. It was such a shame that a different company took over. They discontinued that program and the previous employees had to reapply and lose their pay grade.

What is the best part of working at the company?
My old boss!! She died!! The agency went to the dumps

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Directors think rules apply to them.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
No communication with employees from higher management. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day was STRESSFUL day. Since change of Administration, directors, overturn of staff and employees and no good pay.

Professional friendly co-workers, good management, rewarding work with Seniors.  Must be self starter, detail orientated.  It's a nice place to work with many employees with decades of tenure.

The office work appeared to be extremely stressful on behalf of the employees. A great deal of support of their friends in most all circumstances. Behind closed doors with friends making impact decisions that effect the lives of other employees. Lack of support & confidence in competency of employees.

Low pay, max workload, no incentive to take on extra work. High turnover, low morale.  There is a high turnover which in turn makes for low morale. High performance gets no reward. Constantly asked to cover for others when they leave the agency. There is no mentoring or encouragement. Once you're trained, you're on your own. 


I worked at ENOA while living temporarily in Nebraska. During that time, I had three Supervisors. The Agency also moved locations. I was working in a newer program that was evolving as we were implementing it. So, a lot of dynamics and change. The pay was low for an RN, but it was not clinical, and it was M-F office hours.
