What is the best part of working at the company?
some of the co-workers. Very nice and helpful. The pay was decent. My supervisor was helpful on weekends.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
First time I worked psychiatric. No real experience. Orientation was short and training did not teach you everything you needed to know. Some of the trainers were rude and aggressive towards you or didn't really help you. Then they put you on your own with no real idea what you are doing. DON and assistant DON were not supportive. Tried hard to improve. Told me I wasn't passing meds correctly and unsafely. Not used to having such a large volume of patients. Put on extended orientation with no orienting in areas I needed help with.  Watched me on cameras, and If I did something wrong didn't help me to correct it. just called me on and dismissed me. Horrible place to work.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Hostile work environment with no support from management. Staff getting hit by patients or harassed often.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Extremely busy and chaotic. Cannot keeping psychiatrists. Understaffed. No help from management.

I worked at this facility for several years. When I first started it was great and I loved it. I loved the patients and my co-workers. I had flexible scheduling. But over time changes came and new management was put in place and I unfortunately had to move on for my own sanity. This could be a great place to work with different management. It seemed every time I went in to work there was a new form to fill out or a different policy to follow. Horrible employees are tolerated. If you like to sleep on the job, this may be the place for you. Many of the nurses and techs are great but others are just nasty and rude for no reason. If someone quits, the other employees are blamed. Management lays down the rules without a real understanding of what the nurses and techs on the units actually need to do. It is a negative, toxic atmosphere to work in. There is a reason why there are so many job postings all the time. I would never, ever, work there again.

Overruled by a very greedy cooperate regulated company.  The RN's therapists, and MHT's are not cared about. Moral is always very low, it echo's through all the units. Work life balance does not exist. RN's are underpaid, especially when upper management always allows the hospital to go over "grid".  It's not uncommon to be the only RN on the floor responsible for 20+ patients. Constant calls outs due to high stress. Upper and lower management works during the day shift, so don't work nights if you want any sort of support.  The patients are always forced through the admission process to keep the census high.  Low census is not a thing. 

You will be overworked, underpaid, and under appreciated.  

While working at ECBH I always felt like I was helping the staff, and the patients.  This is a very inclusive place to work and I loved the atmosphere that is created by the administration there.  After Hurricane Michael hit the area, the administration made sure that everyone was safe, and continued to pay employee's their salary until the hospital could open again. They also assisted in finding positions at other locations that are under the same umbrella company, so the staff could work.   I don't personally know of too many places that would have done that for their staff.  The hurricane was catastrophic and caused the hospital to be closed for 9 months while repairs were completed.  I would not hesitate to recommend this as a place of employment.

Really enjoyed providing high quality psychiatric patient care and the physicians, fellow co-workers and patients where great to work with. 
On the other hand, UHS needs to replace a majority of their higher up management staff in order to have a fair and enjoyable place to work.  Not enough recognition where recognition is due.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people I work with are amazing. I love that this hospital treats each patient equally and it is NOT based on the person’s insurance. Also, my boss is the best boss I have had in 30 years. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Clocking in and out for lunch. Also, when the doctors throw in an extra two or three discharges on top of the five or six you already have.

Laid back, friendly, supportive

Meeting, plans for group, treatment team, group, discharges, bio’s and oh yeah lunch.

The people that you work with and the excitement

Trying to not get in power struggles with patients and not triggering them

It depends on the day , it could be really good one day and you want to head for the hills another

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
For me I am on the Military unit. It runs itself almost. They are active duty and have to go to groups all day.

Most of the day (12 hours) spent on filling in paperwork that was redundant. Very little reward for nurses, most activities were more catered to salaried staff, who had more time. 
Pushed to clock out for lunch but usually didn't find relief so working through a clocked out lunch was not unusual. 
Management was quick to ask what staff needed but slow to actually come to the aid of overworked nurses and techs. Nepotism was shown to favored nurses, others had to work harder and put up with more, which was very discouraging.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The administration and staff treat you well and go above and beyond for their patients.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I did not find my job stressful. Everyone works together as a team. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is welcoming and pleasant. Teamwork among the staff.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Audits, putting out fires, identifying issues before there is a problem.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay and cafeteria are the best. The other employees with clean language skills.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The patients are very scary and sad.

Other employees were great but on the mostly white side.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Getting used to lockdown mentally. Breaks were strictly enforced. Patients were hard to understand. Did not see us as helpful.
