During my stent at Plant 9 the plant managers continually gave me empty promises of moving up and "taking care of me". once I was promoted to a job with actual responsibility they, without my knowledge or consent, reduced my pay. their reasoning "we don't have a proper job code" after talking with the plant manager I got another empty promise that they would "fix" my pay situation. 3 months later after making my own job easier for my self and my direct supervisor and slimming down my job processes, they had still not "figured out" my pay. So long story short I got "promoted" to do more and get payed less. not to mention that the whole time i was there they had little to no respect of your personal time and or needs. for a whole year I worked every single Saturday, I made my supervisors lives easier by making protocol and making my job easier to understand and do, and they gave me a "Bravo" card that had points you could redeem for 2 -3 dollar prizes.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is no good good part about working for England furniture they treat their people very bad  discriminate in their practices.mangement has made it all about them and their people mean nothing I cannnot say one good thing about that place I worked there for over six and a half years and things just kept getting worse and worse all the time.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Bad management pay is not good treat their people bad.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Constantly going in to drama management allows this to go on and they are a part of the drama there.management has ruined the work environment there.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Constant aggravation with very little pay.

Plant 5 compared to the other plants is pretty laid back. As long as you show up and do your job, they work with you.
I think the hardest part of working here is finding reliable co-workers. When you work with unreliable people in a production setting, it puts everyone behind and under stress. They seem to have a hard time keeping help. 
Most stressful part of the job is just trying to keep up with timelines and making sure you get your work done for the following week. 
Managment isn't bad unless you just don't do your job, they are lenient as long as you communicate with them. I've worked a few different jobs and so far this is on the top of my list of places to work. 
  The only con is that you don't get an extra week of PTO time until you're there for 5 years. But they do give you a full week in December and July to look forward to.

There are a few decent people who work at England’s but for the most parts the only good think about England’s is the pay. The management is not the best at all. Discrimination isn’t really dealt with there. The maintenance is rather lazy and that’s cause me and my coworkers to almost get hurt often. The dress code isn’t really followed because management enjoys seeing the women wear what they want. The management will try to avoid helping workers when they are injured. 

Working in plant 10 isn't the best if you're in the cutting department. It could be a lot better but it's just ran terribly compared to plant 9 because we're completely ignored by management. They favorite the sewing and specialty department and show no interest what so ever to the cutting teams. We're always short fabric or missing fabric which hinders our pay and nothing is ever done about it. You also have to wait 5 years to get you're own time off and you can't request time off but you do get the week of the 4th of July and the week of Christmas and some holidays off. 

Bosses always have an attitude if you call in sick. You have to work 5 years to get a weeks optional vacation. If you’re  production management will give you the harder work to lower your production. They care about new employees more than the ones who have been there for years. This place will drain you mentally and physically after about 3 months. If you’re a hard worker your rewarded with more work and no opportunity to advance. Production is normally team based and they won’t fire bad workers or move them elsewhere when they’re slowing production down. Do not recommend.

It’s not a horrible job, it’s fast paced and feels like fulfilling work. However management plays favorites at this job a lot, and will prioritize the “best” lines over others, even if other lines are struggling due to being understaffed. You start out at good pay but after 6 weeks you make production pay, towards the end I was making less than my starting pay because our line was understaffed and no one would hire anyone, which is funny because I found a new job pretty easily even with covid going on.

The pay isn't equivalent to the amount of work and stress attached to the work. I worked there for a year and was treated like i didn't matter. Had some issues with supervisors talking down to me, cussing me, and cut my hours short when I told those supervisors that i didn't like how they treated me. It was okay within the first 90 days. After that, it was down hill. Went to human resources to take action on how I was treated but nothing was ever done. This place has no repercussions for their actions.

Very friendly and kind supervisors. Not a terrible workload, not physically demanding in sewing. However, do not let them convince you of $20+ per hour with production pay. Most experienced sewers seem to only be able to scrape ~115%. Which’s means maybe $16/hr. It will take at least six months to get there, if you’re lucky.
