What is the best part of working at the company?
There was no support, communication or honesty from the the PM. He did not keep employees informed of what was going on in the company or the contract that directly affected employees. The workload became overwhelming. There was ittle recognition for a job well done. There were no raises. The PM was clearly unhappy when time was taken off for urgent surgery. Some stress at work is understandable, but this was over the top.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Doing work for an additional position that wasn't filled for the same pay for over two years and dealing with an unscrupulous PM.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fast paced, high stress and zero support

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working through lunch and working very late everyday to accomplish more than what can be accomplished in eight hours

When you are an employee of Sev1 you’re a member of the Sev1 family!  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Most business is contracted out so every now and then you have to go threw a re-compete process…so to anyone new to the contracting world would find this stressful but it’s the nature of the business.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family centric, inclusive, and supportive 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I log in check emails review my planned work for the day adjust for any received critical tasks I saw while reading the morning email and then meet up with everyone on the contract for the daily scrum.

Good company but be prepared to find a new job if the contract for your position ends—the way of the world for contractors. You can usually find a new position elsewhere without too much difficulty or switch companies to keep your position with the new company that won the contract bid. The good news is that you’ll often get a bump in salary as a result. 

The company is truly led with a TEAM concept.  From the CEO (HEAD COACH) to the person that manicures the lawn, everyone has a purpose and voice.  This is my first experience in the corporate world where everyone that bears the company logo truly believes in helping and assisting one another to accomplish goals and tasks.  The Executive Leadership is easily approachable and involved.  I LOVE THIS COMPANY!

Being on a stable contract 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very loving, caring and understanding 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very relaxed. As long as you communicate and get your work done, it’s very productive.

For my role, I worked with very talented people.  I was humbled by the level of knowledge, skills and abilities of my coworkers and manager.  I felt challenged and supported which energized me to take on a very challenging role.

The training missions were good and very satisfying work, but that all came to an end with contract requirements. Missions slowed down during covid and never really ramped up to the numbers it once was. There were many cuts to the contract and many employees left on their own. 

Sev1Tech is a fantastic company. Great benefits, flexibility, pay.

The contract that I am on specifically, however, is tough. Very fast paced, expected to learn A LOT in a short amount of time, and put extra hours to finish your work.



There are constant "surprises" for the work week/month. There is no clear goals for the employees, but the employee is expected to adhere to these. Management is disconnected and out of touch.

Only advancement for men, no training, felt out of place, wives are invited to company meetings but not husbands, you need to be one of the boys to get anywhere.
