I loved working for ECS-SF, they truly care about their employees and clients and try their best to make sure they are appreciated. Working with the homeless population is not for everyone and the agency understands how overwhelming this feat can be. There is a true sense of community and family within the agency, which is a rare find. Constant training keeps employees on their toes and constantly learning.

A typical day consists of lots of computer work/ paperwork, some time with clients or new intakes, meetings, trainings, Wellness Checks, and sometimes medical crisis or police actions. The management doesn't care about your safety. The company is too broke. Management and HR don't care about abuse from unwell residents, supervisors, or workplace violence. Only when the SF Chronicle exposes it publicly.

I enjoy what I do, which is working with an often ignored group of people. ECS is a great company to work for, if you are a worker. However, I do believe that one gets what they pay for. If the salaries were a little higher, they would attract a better pool of individuals to hire from.

My favorite parts about working at ECS are the incredible leadership staff, who care about the employees and are passionate about the work we are doing in the community. It's a great place to be able to advance, and they give you opportunity to include in your position things that you are passionate about.

This agency provides you a lot of experience due to the area in SF. Colleagues seem to be a cooperative and understanding that provides a good work environment. Managers are flexible and can be understanding. Not enough trainings, support, or resources for staff that lead to burnout. Environment is not safe as well.

The benefits were good such as medical and dental and had to pay 10 dollars for vision. The organization pay for most of your benefits and the 403b plan they match you after 90 days of employment which was good.

Episcopal community service is a well that cares about each gas that comes through the doors and making them feel welcome and supportive throughout their transition and life diversity organization

A typical day consists of feeding clients in a timely manner. Prepare meals,clean and sanitize dining area, maintain postitve attitude toward clients cause everyone there is dealing with loss of something just showing compasion.

An organization with diversified internal and external resources dedicated to advancing the independence and self-efficacy of marginalized individuals and communities.

I learned a lot from helping clients and managing a case load of residents who lives there. I learned how to problem solve the clients' issue. One thing that is challenging is that client resist on getting the service that they need.
