A typical day at work involves being available at least 8-10hr a day Mon-Fri. There are constant meetings before AND AFTER work including social events that you will need to go to. Unless you are willing to give up your day to day and evenings for a company this place is not for you. The hardest part of the job was the lack of support and how much they throw you into during onboarding. The trainer body shames people. They would schedule meetings hours before they wanted them. There was not much communication between supervisors and would cause a disconnect with the staff. Most of the supervisors fall into constant corrective feedback. The pay doesn’t align with the amount of work you are putting in. The Mental Health therapist there does not actually fulfill the amount of time she’s supposed to be with patients. Many times she would come into a session and start placing demands. She’s also extremely aversive to the staff who have found her distasteful and entitled. Everyone is extremely uptight. There were several occasions I was re-reprimanded for the SAME THING by different supervisors and on multiple days due to lack of communication. The few weeks I was there was awful. 

Management has no time for you.  Meetings you request will be pushed back again and again. Your peers will cloister and reject change. Management acknowledge these changes by having assigned seating for a meeting and staffs’ reactions were that of high schoolers.

If you are struggling at work, your supervisor will treat you as if you are the cause of and solution to all your problems. 

Safety is not a concern for staff. You will be expected to get hurt and when solutions are raised you will be silenced. 

Unless you are willing to say yes to everything, you will not grow. There is no room for intellectual stimulation. Just a company looking to put children in holds. 

I have worked at Evoke for 2.5 years, and it is hands down the absolute best ABA company I have ever come across! The client caseloads are an appropriate size with a ton of support. The culture of the company is positive and supportive, I love coming to work! The compensation is competitive, lots of room for advancement. I have the best work-life balance that I have ever had while working in this field. I learn something new every day working at this company. Evoke truly embodies clinical excellence and strives to provide the most effective services to our clients as possible.

I had been with Evoke for nearly 3 years before transitioning out. I started as a behavior technician, moved up to a behavior specialist, and then got valuable training and supervision until I sat for and passed my big BCBA exam. Having said, evoke has given me so much support and played a huge role in me reaching my goals. I would recommend this company for anyone looking to learn and grow in the field of ABA, or just as a new and experience. Evoke changes the lives of not only all of the kids that step through the doors, but employees too! Overall GREAT company!

I started at Evoke as a Behavior Tech doing my master's and coursework. When I graduated and passed my exam, I moved into a BCBA position. I had a lot of support during that transition and got to keep working with kids that I already knew as a RBT, which was nice. Evoke is really a great place to work. They let their BCBAs have autonomy with programming and their schedule. There's not a lot of micro-managing and there isn't a lot of pressure on billable hours. I think they genuinely want the best for the staff and the kiddos. 

This is my second ABA job and I can't believe the difference a good team and consistent hours make. I am full time and never have to worry about if my shift will be cancelled at the last minute. This company has the best culture of any ABA place I've worked at or interviewed at, and I get really great support from the clinical director anytime I need it. Besides the team being good co-workers and good friends, The kids make progress! That is the best part. 

Manipulative and fake leadership, but RBT staff at my particular location are mostly close/supportive of one another. The marketing and hype about services offered is not accurate, and training/supervision is dismal. There isn't strong standards and oversight in place, and as a result there are programming quality issues. As a somewhat seasoned ABA professional, I'm disappointed in my experience. I unfortunately thought that as a new organization to the ABA scene and based on marketing of services and culture, that Evoke would be a great step in my career. I was wrong. 

Evoke is a great place to work if you are looking for a company that values their employees, culture and collaboration. Consistent hours and good pay is hard to find as an RBT and Evoke provides stability, support and has always had an open door policy. Evoke has a great leadership team with opportunities for growth and development in your ABA career. At Evoke I've felt heard, valued and an important asset to the fabulous team. 

Evoke doesn’t mess around with people who aren’t in it for the long haul. No one said this job would be easy. I got in it to further my ABA skills and career and that’s exactly what Evoke is helping me do. Tuition reimbursement, staff events, good people. I haven’t seen one of those things consistently at other ABA places I’ve worked. 

I was hired to work at Evoke after being an RBT for about 2 years at another company. Evoke is way different than the experience I had before. There is much more training and my schedule always stays the same. I work with a few different kiddos throughout the week and think I have a good grasp on their books and goals. I feel like I see my supervisors a lot and can ask questions. Overall, I am really happy with how things are going.
