This is a very challenging place to work. The culture feels toxic and appears to stem from leadership at the top. Unfortunately, the environment often brings out the worst in people rather than encouraging collaboration, trust, or support.

Employees frequently feel undervalued, and there is a strong blame-oriented culture that discourages risk-taking or learning from mistakes. Opportunities for growth and professional development also appear limited.

There is also a concerning level of surveillance in the workplace. The CEO and CFO reportedly monitor security cameras and have reprimanded employees for minor actions observed on camera, while similar behaviors from leadership are not addressed. This creates a sense of inconsistency and lack of trust.

In addition, there is significant micromanagement from senior leadership. Decisions and day-to-day work are frequently controlled from the top, which often delays progress and creates an inefficient work environment.

In my experience, leadership does not appear to prioritize the well-being of employees or the broader community. Because of this culture, the lack of accountability at the executive level, and the operational inefficiencies created by micromanagement, I would not recommend this organization as a place to work.

Co-workers are friendly and supportive, but everyone is stressed and looking for the exit. This is a very unstable work environment with high turnover because upper management is unsupportive and driven by their own financial interest. Providers face financial loss if they use PTO because they are still held to relative value units that assume 40 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. When using PTO, the response from management is to complain about taking care of your patients, rather than support for work-life balance or concern about your illness or that of your family. I did not feel supported in this position, and there was no room for growth. The hardest part of the job is management treating providers as means to their ends.The most rewarding part is patient care to a community that deserves so much more than what we can give them in this culture. The CEO is far out of touch with the community and employees; she should spend more time working in patient-facing spaces to understand.

Busy place. Good intentions. Long hours. Chaotic and very intense environment to work in. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Stressful environment, short staff.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very bureacratic and rigid, over zealous in their policies and practices creating a stressful, tiresome work environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
11-13 hours with patients and paperwork stretching out a 10-hour work day. 
Sometimes worked through lunch.

My manager is always there to help me, and I am very grateful that I have this opportunity to grow, and learn with this team. If you like to serve the community, and grow together this is the place for you! The most enjoyable part of this job is being able to touch the lives of the community, and see patients get better each time they come back to see us. The employee engagement makes me feel the sense of belonging. I would recommend anyone to come work here.

My first 4 weeks I was basically left all alone with no one telling me what to do or what training to get, I had to figure it all out on my own. Everyone above me was interim and super busy so I hardly saw/spoke with my boss, I basically just had to decide on my own what to work on. Everyone is nice but the job itself was super boring and probably not all the useful to the organization, it seemed like busy work. I wasn’t given proper training in most of what I do.

I enjoyed my job here at first but I soon began to realize there isn’t much room for any kind of growth. They start training you at a basic level and that’s about all you’ll learn. Granted there isn’t too much you can do as a pharmacy tech, but there is definitely a lot more you can learn. It does feel like you’re working with one big family though.

Work environment is poor, management is clueless, and the CEO is so far disconnected from the reality that is humorous. Not sure why a CEO for a non for profit needs to make half a million and have lavishly exotic brands (I.e. Gucci, Prada, etc.). It’s honestly disgusting. Work anywhere else but here. 

Family Health Center helps the uninsured and low income families get relief in their health concerns.  Very professional atmosphere, friendly, and accurate.

A lot of tech and software to work with and learn. A lot fun and interesting people to work with.

Hard to work on projects when people don’t use tickets and walk up to your desk.

Exec level not trust worthy, feels shady at times. 

I was working there until they tried to make me take A covid test after months already been there but I feel what they was saying because alot of people was coming in with covid at the time but for my safety and kids safety I quitted
