management is clueless on what actually goes on they don't interact with employees unless they have done something to get them in trouble.
They hire people without experience and expect them to know the ins and outs of everything within 6 months. they hired management who has no clue what they are doing and there asking (lower people) questions on there job and how to do it. this place is a clown show. only thing good is the pay and benefits. other than that expect to be stuck in a box for the rest of your life. the only overtime they offer is twice a year and good luck if you get that seniority rules. chickens with there heads cut off

Re: career prospects
A good place to start your career, but I don't recommend staying longer than a couple of years unless you're fine with sluggish career growth. It's not easy to get recognition for excelling unless you're under the wing of someone influential who can elevate you, which is difficult and largely depends on where you sit in the organization.

The federal reserve banks cash department is filled with very hard working people who take pride in what they do. The management of this department is incompetent and uses their power to harass individuals rather than protecting and encouraging them. It would be a much better place to work if other deserving leaders were given management roles. They do not give due credit to those that have the experience and skills. 

The environment has gotten far too biased and political to the left and they won't accommodate thinking that is different. I would recommend staying away. After 4 years of good service, I was strung along and cut loose because I could not receive the covid vaccine for faith reasons. You are a number on a board and will be cut loose if you don't go along

Fantastic team of people led by management that only looks out for itself and its own career trajectory. Work/life balance is touted as critical concern, but when it comes down to brass tacks, a PPT presentation is more important than your mom being hospitalized.

It was a challenge,  you better be very good at mathematics if you want to work here,  they expect you to be precise and all aspects of your work,  it is not so easy to move to another state once and keep the same job within the company so choose your location prior.

Management tends to keep some key information to self which hurts the growth and development of their staff. If you develop relationships outside of your group you can learn more about some of the things going on behind the scene.

Interesting work, competitive pay and benefits. Flexible work schedule and a plethora of learning opportunities. A diverse yet non-inclusive environment coupled with a stealthily territorial company culture. 

At the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, I enjoyed working with a team of professionals in the diverse environment.  Working for the Multimedia services team in the IT department my experience was posited and I learned a lot from my peers on being successful in the audio visual field.

This internship allowed me to get a great perspective on what working in a professional environment will be like. From day to day duties to important meetings, my internship at the fed made me feel very welcome in their workplace and allowed me to learn a lot.
