This is an online payment and administrative application for High Value Tax Payers (HVTP). It provides provision for enrolled HVTPs to pay and file tax via internet, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) or operator. Administrative users are provided with authority to execute additional functionalities like refunding payments, changing payment information and view reports.

Responsibilities:

	Technical design, review and implementation across the project.
	Developed UML diagrams like Use case, class and sequence diagrams.
	Extensively involved in the integration of the Front End web interface with the Spring MVC, Angular JS, JSP, HTML and CSS.
	Developed unit test cases using Jasmine to test Angular controllers and services and developed custom validations using AngularJS
	Developed pages using AngularJS directives, expressions, routing capabilities for bookmarking, filters, validations and Angular UI components such as grid, buttons, carousels, date pickers, modal dialogs and other input components.
	Used Spring framework and J2EE components.
	Utilized Spring MVC, IOC, AOP and DAO modules. 
	Developed controller classes, backend processes, complex services and database interaction.
	Applied object oriented methodologies and core J2EE design patterns like Factory, Facade, Business Delegate, Service Locator and Singleton.
	Exploited Spring MVC for servlet configurations during application development and test.
	Developed RESTful Web services using Spring and used JAXB API for XML parsing.
	Designed, developed and integrated Spring DAO layer with Hibernate. Generated Hibernate XML files for the configured beans.
	Orderly logged the whole process using log4j for auditing, debugging and error logging purposes.
	Installed and configured JBoss server developer and test environments.
	Used ANT and Jenkins for Build process and continuous integration.
	Supported QA and UAT defect resolution; used Atlassian Jira to publish daily defect reports to the management.
	Performed build management for the development and testing environment. Worked with release management to develop technical release notes for every code release.

My typical daily workload consisted of supporting five divisions, which included below:

•	Audit and process complex travel expense claims via automated travel and payment systems, coordinating with Accounts Payable (AP) timely and accurate reimbursements to staff, consultants, and outside vendors for Board-related travel expenses. 
•	Oversee the Board/JPMC government travel card program, authorizing credit card limit increases, granting on-line system access, and monitoring cardholder compliance for card usage and payment via Payment Net.
•	Prepare and provide AP with daily travel payment reports.  Verify travel payments are coded correctly and correspond to their respective budget.    
•	Prepare and provide travel reports to Division Administrators, capturing real time expense data as it relates to the Division’s travel budget.  
•	Provide travel policy oversight and interpretation to Board and non-Board staff, ensuring travel activity complies with Board and General Services Administration regulations.
•	Assist the Administrative Systems Automation Program (ASAP) team in trouble shooting issues. 
I have an outstanding organizational skill and work well with other.  I have excellent customer services skills, which I was awarded for providing customers fast and efficient answer to their problem.

In this job, I learned time management and how to work and complete your work on a timely fashion. The hardest part of the job is was supporting five divisions which consisted almost 1000 employees answering the incoming calls and trying to complete your task on a daily basis.  

The most I enjoy about my job that I'm very busy and helping people with their issues was my main concern.

By all means,look elsewhere! If you are looking for an opportunity for advancement and looking for a fullfilling career, look for another employer besides the Cleveland Fed. Hiring has become very
"crony" like; you will surely be frustrated with the internal politics of this employer. If you feel compelled to apply at this bank, think twice and stay away from being hired by the "operations side" of the bank: Facilties, Security/Protection, Cash Operations, You may be frustrated by the lack of detailed knowledge from your direct supervisor, as said supervisor may have been "placed" into the position without a full understanding of how things work in that particular area of operations.

The bank has a prestigious name which looks good on your resume.
If you employ here, surely use it as a stepping stone for greener pastures outside the bank.

Interns: No better place for a summer job, as you will learn what really happens in the work place in a short period of time.

Bank President seems to think job destruction is a good thing, as stated in a local article from 2 years ago. She lost our checking operation(a blow to the local economy) to the Atlanta Federal Reserve. She's appears out of touch with the internal politics/practices of her departments. Get ready to contribute to President's favorite charity, if not, you could be on your way out the door. Then again, you may find yourself in a favorable position for an internal job posting.

Health care cost example: Family health + dental = $500 a month; a large hit if you are on the lower end of the salary scale for a bank employee.

Do your due dilligence before you agree to employement with them.

A typical day at work for The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond required me to be well rested and mentally sharp to carry out the tasks of data entry. I also worked in the mail room which gave me exposure to other job functions and increased my knowledge even more. I believe management really strived on meeting deadlines and productivity requirements. My co-workers really worked as a team and really cared about the well-being of each other. They helped me out the best way that they could. We exchanged ideas and communicated well when it came to making the work day run smooth and efficiently. To me there were no real challenges to my job. There were enough people around me that were able to answer most of my questions. The most enjoyable part of my job was the services and after hour activities that the Bank provided to their employees. The Bank had a Physical Fitness gym and Steam Room for employees which was a great stress reliever. The Bank also had several TV lounge areas that were available to employees during their lunch breaks. Also the cafeteria was very convenient for those who chose not to eat out or bring their own lunch. The cafeteria served very appetizing full coursed breakfast and lunch meals. Lastly, the other enjoyable part of working at the Bank was being able to attend the company family picnic where all of the employees' family members attended a Bank cookout.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond allowed me the opportunity to promote economic and financial education and conduct outreach to k-16 educators and students. 
 
The Bank offered a great work environment with opportunity for individual professional and educational growth. 

Management is functionally centralized which stands to reason given its congressional mandate to help foster the safety, soundness, and stability of the U.S. economy, its payment system, and the financial institutions that belong to the system. 

A typical day included conducting economic and financial education outreach by either engaging in the delivery of professional development to school systems, developing, writing and editing both original content, presentations and lesson plans for a teaching resource publication and/or excerpting existing articles for teacher consumption, preparing, presenting and/or exhibiting at state and national conferences, designing and putting together professional workshops and conducting educational tours at the Baltimore Branch for secondary students and adults.

The most enjoyable part of my job was offering teachers content enhancement and resources to help teach economic and financial education topics. The hardest part of my job was not being able to always respond to relevant stakeholders in a timely fashion because of organizational constraints.

The skills you'll acquire will be very valuable & will make you well-rounded, will take you a long way & looks fabulous on a resume. The culture is professional and you're sure to meet co-workers who are stable, have been working there for 30+years & I must say I see there's a reason they never left! A typical day was very productive, fast-paced, challenging yet rewarding. I really enjoyed the workload and the people. Management exercised an open-door policy which was important to making employees feel valued with the ability to speak creatively without risk of open door conversion to out -the-door! I literally have no complaints, benefits, compensation and shift differential far exceed local companies. 13% vs. the average 6%. The most enjoyable was working in a fast-paced environment as a team where everyone's part whether big or small played a vital role in the overall success of the check processing department. The hardest part was attempting to make dispatch deadlines despite technical complications at times.

A typical day at work starts off preparing the set up for me to help clients thru out the day. My day starts at 8:30 am and the first client intake most of the time start at 9am
What I have learned with my community jobs is that you can't under or over estimate anyone.  Just because they may look like or don't look like they are in need, we must peel back the different layers and ask the questions so that we can be of service to them. 
I have been in management most of my adult work career.  I have managed teams of people that I realize will do there best if they are taught the proper way to do a job and treated with the utmost respect. 
My co-workers (most of them) have always been great team players in assignments that have been set before us.  I have a saying when working with my teams and it is simply....LET'S GET ER DONE. 
At this moment the hardest part of my job is when I see a client that has lost hope. 
The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing a client that pull themselves up and realize there is hope in what may seen a hopeless situation. 

FRB of Chicago's IT department is a sweatshop. It is a highly political environment where being "Minnesota Nice” runs rampant as unethical employee behaviors and bad management is tolerated behind closed doors. Most days in IT is spent putting out fires. FRB is very unorganized and afraid of new technology.So most technological processes are manual. There is no time to think and IT employees are overworked.

"Don't rock the boat at all. This is the way we've done things for decades and we're not about to change, although we make it sound like we are progressive."  

Management of HR/Bank Supervision Group was of questionable intelligence or competence. Many have been there decades and it's their way or the highway. They run the place like their employees are preschoolers. Posters on the wall about bank policies had cartoon animals on them, like it was an elementary school. I heard a senior managers sometimes screaming at employees behind closed doors. My manager once moved us so that we would "Sit all in a line of cubicles outside her office." So moronic.

My boss and her colleagues would dodge responsibility and instead try to pin program failings on others. You wouldn't believe the amount useless work they do related to their training and development programs. Instead of sitting down together and hashing out solutions, they requested 50-page reports that took months to develop, such as "competency analyses," that no one would ever read.

These people are the opposite of progressive. If you have a mind of your own and wish to exercise it do not work here.
