What is the best part of working at the company?
The whole job/environment  literally! From the moment I had my interview I felt 'this is where I am meant  to be'. From residents to the staff, everyone is friendly, warm, and helpful. Hence the name Friends Village! We all work as a team to ensure we are providing the best service possible to our residents and future residents. The community truly feels like a second home in a way I have never experienced at a work place before. Also, the food is amazing. Another thing I love is seeing the residents engage in all of the activities, events, and trips here on campus. Always something fun happening for sure! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is always some form of stress in any job. It just comes with the territory. However, it is rare to have such a great cohesive team of coworkers. It makes the difference in approaching any challenging situation.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Its great.  Good work/life balance. Meaningful work. Always opportunities to improve and grow!  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I work as the move-in coordinator. I work closely with prospective residents to ensure they have a smooth and comfortable transition into our community. I also plan marketing events, handle purchase orders, work orders,  keep track of renovations as they  progress, and many of other tasks. Lots of paperwork! Always something to do for sure.

When it was Fellowship senior living 
Then  compass group ,undone And now coreworks the place be unorganized they were hiring outside people with no experience plant operations I know I was a loyal / dedicated employee for seven years
HR representative from Compass group was very unprofessional and an organization turned into a circus instead of a senior living facility

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working many hours to little to no break short notice working overtime working 710 days straight. I want to know if you’re going to get paid for your overtime which lotta times I did not

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
When it was Fellowship , senior living, it was a pleasant place to work one’s compass group, unit time, core works, was contracted, and turned to very harsh environment by the backstabbing, and good workers getting terminated with little to no notice without a good reason
Even the CEO does not know good workers were let go. It was OK but shush and there was a lot of nepotism in a lot of departments and favoritism also.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Since Compass group to go over, it was very harsh on my realized department you would work long hours without appreciation. Hopefully you’re paid for your overtime.

Fellowship Senior Living is one of the best organizations to work for, especially for those who are caring, creative and want to feel valued for their talent.  If you are passionate about working with seniors and embrace integrity, excellence and family, this is the place for you. 

I enjoy working with the residents and the team here. It’s all about the people you interact with on a daily basis. The residents who live here are kind and amazing people. They appreciate everything we do and don’t hesitate to tell you how they feel about something. The other departments I work with are the same and very supportive to help you succeed. 

The organization is true to its mission and values. The CEO is forward-thinking, transparent and dedicated to the organizations growth and the team driving it. 

I enjoy being creative and having fun with the residents. Overall, I am very happy being a part of the team and would recommend Fellowship to anyone who is seeking a rewarding career. 

Unfortunately, the overall work environment was extremely challenging. Management in housekeeping and transport, in particular, was very unsupportive. It often felt like you had to walk on eggshells, never knowing what minor issue might upset someone that day.

There was little to no recognition for doing a good job — any praise usually came only after complaints or criticism. Leadership tended to focus on micromanaging small issues instead of addressing the real problems affecting staff morale and workflow.

If you're looking for meaningful work and the chance to positively impact residents’ lives, that aspect can be rewarding. But be prepared for a lack of support, poor communication, and a toxic culture that can make it difficult to thrive


Cons:
Poor management structure, especially within plant operations

Lack of recognition or support from leadership

Toxic workplace culture with frequent blame and little accountability

Minimal raises despite years of service

Micromanagement over minor things instead of addressing real issues

When I saw the facility I was excited to work here, it’s cleaner than my previous job,  they have good supplies for the CNAs to clean the patients.  But other than that this place is way to demanding for their CNAs.  They give good service to their patients but they’re killing their workers/CNAs. Call bell should be answer less than 6 minutes, they don’t care if you’re giving care with another , you should answer it or else you get written up! You should smile always since it’s their culture but they’re giving you demanding JOB than any other facility.  They kept on hiring, got new employees but won’t last because they PAY LESS YET THEY DEMAND SOO MUCH FROM THEIR CNAs.  Always have meeting about the budget, but their constructing soo much and add new features other than NURSING/Care which is good... but the management forgot the main heart of their facility and just don’t care about their CNAs.  Couple of CNAs were fired without investigation too.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Other workers who roll up their sleeves to make the residents comfortable and well regarded. The residents themselves who always appreciate the smile and help they receive the kidding around with the restaurant and bar patrons that gives them the feeling of being back in their old neighborhoods 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There was no real stress because the patrons of the bar and restaurant enjoyed the friendship and service and always were grateful making cocktails for them was fun and they enjoyed it when I would kiddingly complain about washing glasses and telling them to drink out of plastic cups because I was getting chapped hands lol

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The restaurant was fun and serving was fun. The culture I didn’t get involved with because my main objective was serving the residents 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Consistency with the opening and closing procedures and the flow of serving drinks and food

FSL is an incredible place to work. First of all, it's dedication and devotion to the seniors is unparalled. Secondly, their devotion to making this the best retirement community/nursing home to live in and work at is at the highest level. Senior leadership cares about their team members. Everyone has an open door policy, they listen and they care about our opinions. The team work is strong and the culture is the best. Leadership lives the values of the organization as do all the other team members.  Working for a not-for-profit means that they are always investing in making FSL better. Progressive and forward thinking organization. I feel safe and secure in my job, I feel valued and respected, and I feel appreciated which means that I always want to do my best. Very motivating environment. I would not want to work anywhere else-FSL has spoiled me for any other job. Everyone comes to work wanting to do their best for their fellow team members and for the seniors and their families. Great place to work. Highly recommend!!

First I would like to say there can be challenges at every work place.  At Fellowship we have those challenging days, we also have very good days.  Overall, I enjoy my work and I feel appreciated.  The managers at Fellowship are very supportive and listen to suggestions and concerns.  There are many opportunities for advancement, the company is growing, and creating more jobs. The building is beautiful, they just completed renovations, it's more like a warm cozy place to work.  They have a very good hospitality training program for all employees to attend.  I work in the homecare Helping Hands department, I am happy with my job and I would recommend.  

Hands down the best job I ever had. Riverwalk Village is full of fantastic employees as well as residents. The executive director and most of the Administration staff are wonderful people who are always willing to help. The unfortunate part is that corporate is a whole different animal. They will only know you as a name , not as a person. They do not take the time to get to know you or what you do for the company. They will terminate you quickly if you look at them sideways. If you keep your head down and your mouth shut you will do just fine. If you know more than your boss, keep your mouth shut. No matter how much you want to say something. It is their way or no way. Please be careful when choosing to work for this company

I worked at Fellowship as an intern and it was the worst experience I ever had. The workplace culture was stifling and unfriendly. There was a lot of poor communication and lack of initiative.  

I overheard the staff talking/complaining about and treating residents in an unprofessional and unethical way. Some higher-up staff acted so childish that I felt like I was in high school rather than a professional setting. Instead of providing feedback or constructive criticism to interns, my supervisor would complain about them behind their backs.
