I've worked at the company for several months and witnessed the weekly firings and job abandonment. There is practically no job security here and everyone works under the mindset of "Well, I'm probably next." Few make it past their first month of work and it's rare for some departments to hire more people to fill vacated spots, leaving an increased workload for those who remain.

Several departments have weekly mandatory overtime, sometimes reaching as high as an additional 9 hours of extra work per week. This can go on for weeks, so don't work here unless you're willing to sacrifice all of your time for this company.

Employees receive only the most basic training before being thrown on the phones and often times the computer system makes it impossible to find necessary information, leaving employees to either guess or outright lie to callers. As well, when customers ask to speak with supervisors, callers are more often than not transferred to other regular agents who management has told to answer supervisor calls without any supervisory training, simply because they cannot keep an adequate number of real supervisors on staff.

And then there are the actual calls that have to be answered. Over 70% of calls are likely to involve an irate or completely unreasonable caller. So if you already lack faith in humanity, again, don't work here. You WILL deal with hourly mental and emotional abuse from callers.

The one thing I liked about this job was the coworkers. If it weren't for them, the job would be more miserable than it already is. Some of the managers are good people, but there is so much middle management that everything seems to move an absurdly slow pace.

In short, this is an underhanded company with an oppressive and negative work environment. Every day you go in could be your last and those who aren't fired get out as soon as they can. I would NOT refer anyone to work there.

I would take calls and emails throughout the day. I would train/manage several employees each day to improve at their job. I worked at Fidelity for 13 years and learned so much over these years. I answered phones when I first started then finally became Director, Vendor Management. I assisted the entire office with my expertise over the years. I would assist/resolve client calls and issues, speak with inspection companies across the country, Canada and Puerto Rico. When the customer service department could not locate a specific inspector for a property that needs an inspection, I would be the final route to locate someone. When I am given a task, I work on the task until it is complete. I like a challenge. The management inside of the office was great to work with each day. I worked with them for several years and maintained great friendly relationships inside and outside of the office. I was friendly with everyone I worked with. I enjoyed training them and teaching them my tricks of the trade. The hardest part of my job was speaking with irrate customers. We would contract inspectors all over the country so their eyes are our eyes. If the customer disagrees with something the inspector thinks, they would call me. But I would always make sure the customer is happy after I speak with them and resolve the issue. The most enjoyable part of my job was when I would be able to save the company thousands of dollars a month by reducing the inspectors fees minimally due to the volume of business we were sending them. The entire company would benefit from the savings myself and my associates would make each month. I enjoyed my job very much but there was no more room for advancement. I work well with others and consider myself a people person.

Fidelity National Financial is overall a great employer.  The benefits package is excellent.  Management provides regular employee morale incentives and boosters.  Management is fair and understanding.  FNF-LoanCare services over a million mortgage loans nationally with 6 locations in the United States.  The Document Control department however was understaffed , consisting of 6-8 personnel on the non lien release side, which supports all company departments for all locations nationally to obtain necessary documents for departments such as Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Property Preservation, and Customer Service to name a few.  Therefore, in this department, task numbers are very high due to being understaffed.  A typical work day is very productive and also timelines are tight. Paygrade was unfortunately mostly equal for all team members in the Document Control Department.  I personally had very high completed task numbers, opposed to most of my co-workers who's pay grade was equal to mine.  Additionally, FNF-LoanCare is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, which is a very high commute from my residence in Newport News, VA.

A typical day of work in this role at FNF involves escalated triage, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with other security and non-security FNF teams.

I learned a lot about large enterprise security operations, software bloat, identifying gaps and opportunities, and process improvement.

Immediate management was supportive and encouraging. Mid-management was fairly weak, with little guidance on direction, and showing inappropriate favoritism for select employees (not directly affected but observed). Executive leadership was more engaged and had an idea of what they wanted and I would argue far more equipped for their roles.

The culture was typical of a large enterprise. The SOC is sectioned off from the rest of the floors but there were still plenty of opportunities to engage with other teams and learn more about the company.

There wasn't anything truly hard about the job, which I took as the job needing more direction.

The most enjoyable part of the job was standing up cyber-related initiatives and improving the process and workflows of a fairly new security operations center.

A typical day at work began about 7:30 a.m. simply because there was so much anxiety about meeting deadlines, addressing employee issues, coordinating work, etc. I was assigned areas of tax and accounting that were absolutely new to me. We were acquiring companies, expanding our department with employees just out of college, and we moved our office twice before the company moved to Florida.
My manager, the Director, was incredibly intelligent and focused. Our relationship could be a little strained because he was also very competitive and not easy for me to talk to, but we worked well together and accomplished our goals for the department. My co-workers were like family. They were all about the same age (under 30) and enjoyed recreation time together outside of work. They were wonderful people who worked hard and took care of each other. A team both at work and outside of work.
The hardest part of my job was time. Most of my workdays were at least 12 hours, that is after the first year, which were about 10 hours and few Saturdays. Many days, we worked well into the night (my manager and another manager), but the job was never one that gave me a sense of completion or the quality I would have liked.
The most enjoyable parts would be the people, the high level of technicality and the salary and benefits.

A typical day at work found me processing back office work for clients such as Scottrade Bank, Ally Bank, Royal Bank of Canada, TIAA-CREF, and Barclays. I learned to recalculate interest and provide accurate spreadsheet summaries for customers, transfer funds using a teller application, change terms and account settings on CDs, savings accounts, and checking accounts, perform compliance testing for Regulation D, DD, and Z, as well as research problem tickets to resolve possible issues with accounts.  I learned to work on a team with others to problem solve as a group, and to lead that group when necessary.  I was chosen to attend a week of training in our sister Pittsburgh office to become one of our department's Quality Control associates.  The hardest part of the job was often balancing many tasks and clients at once, which became easier with time as I learned more advanced time management skills, delegation, and prioritization. The most enjoyable part of the job was always the feeling at the end of a long hour or two working a difficult ticket when I found the resolution to the problem so that it could be corrected for the customer.

Unfortunately working here was the worst job experience of my life because the management team are to busy telling one group to do the work a certain way, then they tell the second group to do the work a different way and to mark the first group wrong if they didn’t do it “right”. All this back & forth to use these “errors” as a way to justify not giving a bonus. 
Just stop giving the bonuses and drop the daily drama. 
Hire a mature manager with managerial skills that knows the difference between employees and their own children. (Tactics used on children, should not be used on adults. It just makes everything awkward.)
When you are a good manager that inspires, uplifts and are encouraging personal and professional growth, you’re employees will never need to be micromanaged down to account for every minute of their day. 
Titlewave aka FNF aka Fidelity, wants everything to be done off shore because it’s cheaper for them, even though they know the quality is poor. If workers don’t understand the meaning of the words and what is on the documents, then they are just copiers not abstractors/examiners and should not be running title. 

A Typical day include multitasking responsibilities such as uploading daily checks to the general ledger, responding to email inquiry from operation regarding account balances, completing and submitting assigned reports for management, reconciling accounts, adjusting entries, address audit request, assisting team with accounts receivable questions and pulling reports for which they cannot access, review and verify completed bank reconciliations, review outstanding check list and work with operation so they can be voided and new checks reissued, reviewing balance sheet accounts and ensure schedules and support reconcile to the general ledger.
I have been fortunate to be part of a wonderful supportive team, managers in every department who practice an open door policy and always make themselves available even if it means staying late to offer support.
Having a deadline and there is an unresolved issue and having to wait on offices on the west cost to open due to time zone can be challenging.

"Compensation/benefits" is rated less than five stars because I work only about 25 hours a week, part time, and I am compensated accordingly.  

I cannot say enough good about how supportive and patient my management is.  Additional training is always available, and the "open door" policy is an integral part of their management style.  I would hope any company I own would treat employees the same way.

Easiest part of the job is working with the people I work with.  Computer equipment is first class, with almost instant IT support if it is needed.  Nice air conditioned office is welcome during harsh weather.  The office is pass key secured, with a receptionist, so is secure.  There is also a security office in the building itself.

Hardest part of the job is the repetitive process, finish one order, then turn around and do it again, and again, and again.  The concept is not difficult, though somewhat precise, but does not allow for creative input - it is just a job.  If I worked full time I am sure there would be more opportunity to grow within the company, but my current situation does not allow that.  No fault of the company, mind you, just my particular situation.

A typical day on the job in my fraud analyst position was reviewing cases for charge back rights in an attempt to recover funds for our clients. I learned about Visa and MasterCard regulations, federal regulations and the financial institutions guidelines on recovering funds from the merchants on behalf of our clients if these regulations were not met. I enjoyed my direct supervisor he was wonderful!  My management team had an open door policy and they were all willing to assist you with any concerns or needs to the best of their abilities. I enjoyed my co-workers and gained some close friendships. My co-workers were well rounded and had a great sense of humor we had fun on a regular basis. The hardest part of the job was the time constraints and contractual agreements we had to meet with the given workload, under staffing and computer systems we had to work with but we always managed to meet our standards. The most enjoyable part of the job was learning about credit card fraud and the fraud recovery process.
